you call her a Bimbo. This isn't some anorexic model. This is a woman who once participated in a beauty pageant. I just do not see how that disqualifies her as capable for this job. She has been married for, I think, 20 years....which in this day in age is GREAT!!! She has 5 kids. She has an 80% approval rating as governor. If you truly refuse to even look into her and what she stands for just because she is an attractive women.....well....I'm sorry but that just leads me thing these ramblings are coming from an envious unattractive person. If you don't like Palin....fine. But give us a better reason than because she was in a beauty pageant and she is pretty. That is absolutely the most ignorant reason to not vote for someone. That would be like someone not voting for Obama just because he is black.....just plain stupid. That is superficial thinking. Talk about judging a book by its cover. would take quite a bit of time to implement as it would take time to build the utility facilities, not to mention retrofitting households to use green energy. I don't think this is a viable short-term plan to help our country, although I do see a benefit from it long-term. However, in creating green jobs and bankrupting the coal industry like he said he would that creates yet another situation where people will be jobless and not paying taxes. With a good portion of our electric energy coming from the coal industry, this number could be significant enough to offset any benefit obtained with green energy and green jobs.
We are in a financial crisis and I don't see that there is anyway out of it (unless they yank that Golden Fleece) without immediate tax increases on all tax-paying Americans.
Like I said, a plan is just a plan and even with a Democratic Senate, I don't foresee his tax plans coming to fruition in the near future.
Rolling Stones and Green Day

The problem with his green jobs
The problem with these jobs is that they would be completely paid for by the government. The reason these jobs do not exist at the moment is that they are unprofitable. If there was a profit to be made some company would have jumped on it already. So what he would be doing would be to create a huge government-run and taxpayer-financed company that would take years to ever even possibly turn a profit and there is no guarantee it would. EVER.
I'm getting a little off track here, but consider this. Right now the government subsidizes mandatory recycling programs in many areas. So they run extra trucks, using extra fuel and creating extra pollution and, unfortunately what most people do not realize is that the items collected are dumped somewhere. The vast majority are NOT recycled, because it is not cost-efficient. The dirty little secret is that most of this ends up in a landfill.
So the government's intentions are good, but they choose to turn a blind eye to the truth.
The big green businesses are already overseas.......

and we'll all be standing shoulder-to-shoulder across every continent, with barely enough room to turn around. So what exactly is so 'intelligent' about populating our species out of existence?
Who knows - maybe God realizes we humans were a BIG MISTAKE. We're fouling the beautiful, bountiful earth that according to you, he made specifically for us. Leveling mountains and forests, polluting the streams & the oceans, causing the extinction of hundreds of species of animals (that supposedly HE created, right?) And for what? Because your brand of 'religion' says it's a sin to abort, (some even say contraception at ALL is a 'sin'), and that it's our God-given duty to replicate ourselves over and over again ad infinitum.
So, maybe he's trying to save our species by slowing down the multiplication factor a little bit. Ya never know. But one thing I DO know: Look at other species that outgrow their habitat and their food supply. That's where we're all headed.

Anyway...the amount of land drilled on in Alaska is extremely small in contrast to the size of the state. Proposed drilling in ANWR encompasses about 2000 acres at the most far north part of Alaska. ANWR in total is 19 MILLION acres.

This just makes me want to cry.
What has our country become? I always knew that politicians were crooks, but for them to run our country into the ground just to line their own pockets.....it just absolutely disgusts me. All these politicians who received significant money from these companies......do you think they will suffer. No....it will be us who pay for all of this. Government as a whole has royally screwed us all with this.
This whole bail out thing has me so fuming mad I can't hardly see straight. I'm terrified that if we don't do it....we will collapse. I'm terrified that if we do it....it will only slow down but the collapse will still come...only later. I'm mad that they want to bail them out and screw the rest of us. I truly hope that there is another solution to this crisis other than a bail out.
I want the phuckers who deliberately screwed us through their own greed....I want them to pay for this. I want them to be held accountable. Instead, they lined their pockets, get bailed out, and it is the little people that lose out.
I am sick to death of hearing politicians getting on TV and blaming the other party when they themself received a substantial amount of money from these banks going under that are currently wanting bailed out. Stop playing the blame game and just come up with a plan that will benefit the tax payers and not just the big wigs who screwed us in the first place!
