..Bush took office in 2001 and 9/11 happened 8 months later. Maybe what he accomplished is that we have not had another 9/11 in eight years, and many terrorist conspiracies were thwarted.

Clinton took office in 1993: First World Trade Center bombing in February 2003 . Multiple embassy attacks in 1998. USS Cole bombing in October 2000, Mogadishu, anyone?

What Bush inherited was an immense national security nightmare caused by the complete falure of the weak Clinton administration to anticipate, prevent or punish any of these attacks. Will his successor choose to revert to the warm and friendly non-action of a clintonesque administration? Is it more important that everybody just LIKE us? Inquiring minds want to know
