If you can't prosecute em
They ought to have to pay something since they hardly ever pay for their crime.
Because you limited it to Schumer...
When in all fairness, they all saw it coming and, I believe, had no idea how to stop it from gaining momentum - so they cashed out and left the rest of us to flounder.
Schumer is speaking (almost done now) about passing
this stimulus. He says, "Don't give us the back of your hand because we have made efforts. It is not perfect, but it's sure a lot better than sitting here, arguing and doing nothing. It requires concerted and smart action that President Obama wants."
He makes me sick. He stands to get 8.65B, or 28 times more money for his state than Kansas. Kansas will only get $450M.
Sen. Hatch said "...the first bill, the SChip, had no input from the pubs. The stimulus was put together by the dems and had no input from the pubs until the other day. When (Schumer) starts talking about tax cuts, let's not give it to those who don't pay income taxes.
Let's not put this stuff in a stimuls bill that is supposed to work NOW, not 3 years from now. Congress has exceeded the budget every year for 28 years except for Clinton. The government spending is moving towards 40% GDP."
They are supposed to vote at 5:30 today, but I don't think they will be able to.
Senator Hatch said "this is a partisan plan and the more you rely on the government , the expansion of government is going to be enourmous and that's called socialism. We are for a stimulus that would help homeowners, cut small business tax rates, move further and further towards creating jobs, and this bill doesn't do it. We have to stand up on something, and this is it."
Germany, who killed millions of Jews wants to prosecute Rumsfeld.
That makes sense.
The Patriot Act is up but some want to keep it, including Schumer. Don't blame Bush for that. nm
