thanks for caring so much
i greatly appreciate it. Nice talking to you!
I do believe she is sincere in caring about...
the people she is sworn to represent...and she has done a great job in Alaska. With her at least we have a CHANCE of not being sold down the river...the other ticket has a history of doing just that, in their ever increasing quest to shuffle gimmes to the so-called lower class to keep them their voting base. This whole mess was the Democrats, through fannie/freddie, pressuring banks to give those high risk subprime loans to people who could not afford them, people who had little credit or no credit...and where did that leave us in the middle class who had to qualify for loans the old-fashioned way and actually paid our mortgages while they let theirs default and here we are. With all that out there, you want to make fun of the VP candidate on the other ticket? Is that supposed to illustrate how astute you are? It is a valid question.
So much for caring about the troops. You are a joke. nm
I would be calm sweet and caring too
if I had her money. Her outfit the other night was said to be worth over $300K. Minus the 3-carat diamond earrings, the outfit was only valued at around $30K. Laura Bush's outfit was estimated to be valued at less than $5K. Michelle Obama's was probably in that ballpark too.
Even if this stuff was donated by the designers, etc., I can't relate to any of these people. You will find me cruising the aisles of my local thrift shop looking for a bargain
Truly caring about your country needs no apology....

To have a real caring president would be nice
Editorial
Waiting for a Leader
George W. Bush gave one of the worst speeches of his life yesterday, especially given the level of national distress and the need for words of consolation and wisdom. In what seems to be a ritual in this administration, the president appeared a day later than he was needed. He then read an address of a quality more appropriate for an Arbor Day celebration: a long laundry list of pounds of ice, generators and blankets delivered to the stricken Gulf Coast. He advised the public that anybody who wanted to help should send cash, grinned, and promised that everything would work out in the end.
We will, of course, endure, and the city of New Orleans must come back. But looking at the pictures on television yesterday of a place abandoned to the forces of flood, fire and looting, it was hard not to wonder exactly how that is going to come to pass. Right now, hundreds of thousands of American refugees need our national concern and care. Thousands of people still need to be rescued from imminent peril. Public health threats must be controlled in New Orleans and throughout southern Mississippi. Drivers must be given confidence that gasoline will be available, and profiteering must be brought under control at a moment when television has been showing long lines at some pumps and spot prices approaching $4 a gallon have been reported.
Sacrifices may be necessary to make sure that all these things happen in an orderly, efficient way. But this administration has never been one to counsel sacrifice. And nothing about the president's demeanor yesterday - which seemed casual to the point of carelessness - suggested that he understood the depth of the current crisis.
While our attention must now be on the Gulf Coast's most immediate needs, the nation will soon ask why New Orleans's levees remained so inadequate. Publications from the local newspaper to National Geographic have fulminated about the bad state of flood protection in this beloved city, which is below sea level. Why were developers permitted to destroy wetlands and barrier islands that could have held back the hurricane's surge? Why was Congress, before it wandered off to vacation, engaged in slashing the budget for correcting some of the gaping holes in the area's flood protection?
It would be some comfort to think that, as Mr. Bush cheerily announced, America will be a stronger place for enduring this crisis. Complacency will no longer suffice, especially if experts are right in warning that global warming may increase the intensity of future hurricanes. But since this administration won't acknowledge that global warming exists, the chances of leadership seem minimal.
"...he is a self-educated, caring, honest, and intelligent man"
.
Can't believe you used the words loving and caring in the middle of that post.
What, pray tell, is spewl? Making up words?
You know....if we actually stopped
and looked at all the money these politicians spend on travel and other expenses that we the taxpayers pay for......we would want to beat them all with a baseball bat. Then you have people like Gore talking about global warming and then jumping on his personal jet and flying away.... LOL! So for them to go after Palin like that is just ridiculous. At least she is giving the clothes the RNC bought to charity when she is done. Not like Palin is a millionaire like McCain, Obamarama, and sticks foot in mouth often Biden. As for her family flying on taxpayers expense....they fly commercial airlines and not by personal jet. Remember....she is the one that sold the personal jet Alaska had for the previous governor because it was wasteful.
I'm so tired of people ragging on Palin on the time. There are many flaws that the other candidates have as well. Rag on them for a while. If you are going to tear the candidates apart....at least tear them all apart and not just one.
You should have stopped with your
of you post is pure incomprehensible babble. Just accept the facts.
That has never stopped anyone here from
They keep whining about the same old s**t over and over. Even when a subject is talked out ad infinitum...
You should have stopped at *I blame.* sm
Figures that someone giving a pep talk would turn you off. Might take the edge off that HATRED and RAGE. You are beginning to look more and more like the crowds who are looting, raping and shooting, out of control, full of a sense of entitlement and more than a little full of hysterical rage.
It's too bad you stopped reading...sm
Sam brings up valid, positive points, and those on the left turn her off, rather than listen to the truth, because it comes from her.
She isn't bitter at all. It always sounds like the left is, when dealing with her, rather than listen to the truth, even when you expounded so much on the facts. If the facts bear up the right, they must not be facts, are therefore ignored.
McCain DID do something...he stopped...
politicking and went back to Washington to do the job the American taxpayers are paying him for, as a sitting senator (both he and Obama are still sitting senators). I would think Obama would want to know FIRST HAND what is going on and not get his info from pings on his blackberry. I would think he would want to be in the thick of this, considering the economy is on the brink of failure. A debate can wait a few days. Can the economy? This whole thing seems pretty silly to me. It looks to me like McCain his his priorities in order.
Of course and isn't it about time it stopped? n/m

WC stopped when she was pregnant -
at least that is what I remembered hearing on TV.
You should have stopped at Not Tolerant. Period.

If you had stopped at stating it was from Newsmax...
and not followed that with conservative propaganda in the body of your post...obviously said in an effort to discredit whatever was in the article. I can read between the lines, as can other posters, right and left, I feel sure.
Stopped believing in the boogey man when I was 5.

I thank God Bush stopped having war on US soil after 911! nm

Definately time it stopped
Unfortunately, no matter who wins, it's not going to any time soon. Obama would tax those companies to death, so they would move out of the country anyway, while McCain would help them pack. "God have mercy is correct," 'cause we're screwed either way.
And what credible plots were stopped by
Please give one plausible, legitimate terrorist plot targeting our nation that was stopped by his policies.
Maybe if you stopped yawning, you could actually learn
@@
You misunderstand. I don't want this thing to be stopped.
Once this train gets going, it won't be stopped where the loony liberals imagine it will stop. It will go all the way to the end of the line, and that is a prospect that positively fills me with joy because it will take a lot of slimeball Democrats like Obama, Pelosi, Reid and others down with it. You know - the co-conspirators and the liars.
You're the ones who had better act fast. Last time I heard, you guys had an awful lot of criminals to go after. We'll start with Feinstein and her most recent financial corruption and work our way back.
Bring it on, and let's really clean house!
Politicians will dig up anything
negative they can about anyone running against them. I'm sure we all remember the things said back and forth between Hill and Messiah Obama before they finally picked Master Obama. It is all dirt flinging and back stabbing and promises they don't intend to keep. I truly wish they would invent a BS monitor that would let us know when these politicians are really telling us the truth or whether they are, once again, feeding us a line of BS.
We always fall for the promises made during the campaign and then we see no results when that politician actually gets in office. This is with all political parties and frankly I'm sick of it all. They waste all this money campaigning and smearing the other candidate as best as they can and in the end.....whoever wins still sticks it to the American people and those promises that were made are soon forgotten.
They are all politicians, they only know
how to talk like that, whatever party they are.
And why are all of you not politicians?
You people recite what you read!
Like most politicians. LOL n/m

not only the politicians,
people in general, especially when it comes to the Middle East.
You remind me why I stopped voting democrat....(nm)
.
maybe they just stopped writing that calendar at that point
because it seemed like a good place to stop. I mean, they had to stop at some point, right?
even brittany stopped giving interviews
She is under no obligation to stay in the spotlight and should decline all further interviews. seriously.
Politicians - I don't trust ANY of them
Especially ones who will have anything to do with Clintons (both of them) or any of Clintons cabinet people.
they were as sincere as most politicians are ever - not
I have a very jaded view of our political system .. sorry
everything is calculated
everything is conniving
every move is planned and orchestrated by the "back room"
I've seen it ..
The Clintons did what they had to do to stay in the "power" positions in the Democratic party ... simple as that..
sorry ... JMHO
It's not just liberal politicians.
It's politicians in general. They're all so crooked they have to be screwed into the ground when they die. It's wrong to call prostitution the oldest profession because it's actually politicians that hold that title, although they are similar fields - they both screw people for money.
All politicians lie to get elected.
We are all fooling ourselves if we thing otherwise. It is literally picking the lesser of two evils. The one thing that I can say is that at least McCain makes decisions. He votes instead of just voting present like Obama and when Obama actually has voted yes or no.....he has consistently said one thing and voted the exact opposite. I just do not think he has the experience or the ability to make executive decisions. I do not trust his associations and I do not have the same values as he does.
All politicians are liars!

Greedy politicians/CEO's
As always, good to see you here...I remember reading when I was a kid that John F. Kennedy did not accept hjs salary as President; that he gave it back to the U.S. Guess since he was wealthy, he felt there was no need to take it. Too bad we don't have that kind of individual in office now..
Since when do politicians support
a group or say they do and then turn around and crap on that group or break promises they made to that group. I think that kind of goes hand in hand with politics. LOL!
Honestly, do you really think Barrack Obama is crapping on the homosexual community because he asked Rick Warren to do this? It isn't changing any laws. To me it looks like a liberal reaching his hand across the aisle to a conservative. To me this shows that even though they may not have the exact same opinions, they can still do something together. Isn't that what we are all about. Reaching across the aisle to show that even though we don't agree, we can still work together. Yet all people can see is this being a bashing session against gay people.
I don't agree with homosexuality. However, if they want some kind of legal union.....whatever. That is about as equal rights as I am going to lean for the gay community. I have gay friends who have no problem leaving the definition of marriage between a man and woman.....as long as they can be joined together legally...that is all that matters to them. I just feel that the ones who are trying to redefine marriage is dead wrong. Leave marriage between a man and woman and give homosexuals some sort of legal union.
This changing every tradition to accommodate every single minority group is what, in my opinion, is hurting our country. All these minority groups want equal rights but in doing that.....they take away from the majority. How much more should the majority have to sacrifice?
The idiots were the politicians!
!!
I know all politicians lie to get voted in.
However, this is not the time to be playing games with us. A lot more people are watching what government is doing because of what happened last term. Obama really smooth talked a lot of people. I think a lot of people are starting to worry like some of the rest of us about his real intentions. Too bad we couldn't get the rest of the kool-aid drinkers to get a clue.
I say that next election we vote someone in who is neither a pub or a dem. Shake up the parties a bit and let them know that we are fed up with both parties!!!!!
And politicians have the audacity...
to tell bankers and CEOs of the big three how to spend their profits! At least they're using their own money, that they worked for!
It's absolutly disgusting that those politicians in DC think that they can have all these expenses at our expense! I love how they have parties and go off on weekend getaways that we pay for - I haven't had a vacation in years!!!
And the politicians talk about certain groups having a sense of entitlement - give me a break! They have the world's largest case of entitlement disease I've ever seen, starting with voting themselves an automatic raise every year! I thought raises were supposed to be for employees that were doing a good job!
good point.....this one bans if you don't agree with them....or maybe this has stopped since the
.
We stopped reading your posts a long time ago!
McCain just stopped talking to reporters when he got the nomination
But in the middle of the summer, the McCain campaign took a series of steps that appeared on their face to be at odds with the candidate’s gold-plated brand. In the interest of greater message discipline, his advisers eliminated his running back-of-the-bus (or front-of-the-plane) bullshit sessions with reporters. And they turned sharply negative in their approach to Obama, hammering him with a series of ads—seen by some as trivial and trivializing, by others as racially coded, and eventually by most as unexpectedly effective—focused on his status as a celebrity unqualified to be commander-in-chief.

I find most politicians on these shows
respond with rehearsed speech, or just do not answer the question. On Hardball, Chris will say answer the question, yes or no, over and over and over and whoever just goes off on whatever tangent.
Insurance companies and the politicians they buy..
Doesn't anybody in DC have a conscience? The system as it stands now is disgusting. They are literally making billions by killing of thousands upon thousands (maybe millions?) of Americans. Anyone with half a brain should recognize profit-driven health insurance only serves the best interest of the CEOs of the insurance companies - not healthcare recipients! This needs to change NOW!
I saw my first AMA commercial last night urging people to vote with the millions of uninsured Americans in mind. I loved it! It is at least a step in the right direction. Vote with the healthcare crisis in mind people!
You're right about both parties being politicians
and I guess it just boils down to a lesser of the two evils! This is such a simple thing, I just don't understand why you wouldn't just prove it to shut everyone up.
Very few politicians care about the people either.
