There is no truth in the assertion that
Blagojevich's corrupt behavior and how Obama "got so far, so fast." By your own admission, you only had a "snippet." How then did it suddenly become a report of "something truthful?" You were not simply questioning how something like this can be happening. You were taking one set of circumstances and inventing another parallel set of entirely fictional circumstances and trying to relate the two. Furthermore, you are attempting to justify this form of thinking.

Lets examine a relatively simple definition of "psychopath." The psychopath is defined by a psychological gratification in criminal, sexual, OR aggressive impulses and the inability to learn from past mistakes. Individuals with this disorder gain satisfaction through their antisocial behavior and also lack a conscience.

I do not agree with the absolute pronouncement that you are a full-blown psychopath. However, I do see you consistently have tendencies to take a certain measure of pleasure in following aggressive impulses when it comes to validating your obvious adversion to the President-Elect, illustrated by the current post in question. You have been doing this for quite some time, so it would be safe to assume that could be an integral part of who you are. You do seem to gain a great deal of satisfaction out of promoting some of the more far-fetched right-wingnut fantasies out there about O, and you seem to have no particular conscience about doing it. No sarcasm intended. This is the way you come across to some of us.
mccain/truth
McCain and the truth in the same breath? pleeeeze!! (we need oxygen STAT!!)
McCain is trying to reveal the truth about

Obama, since the mainstream media won't tell the truth.  WHY NOT do an expose and some investigative journalism, on BOTH candidates, and let the citizens decide??  Talk about everything on both sides, including O's shady America-hating crooks and McCain's Keating 5, etc. etc, etc.  At least McCain bucked up to the issue and handled it professionally.  Obama either throws them under the bus or slips out of the subject at hand in order to deal with him.  Believe me, if he and McCain were closer in the polls, he would be trying hurt McCain's character.  But what you see with McCain is what you get. Not a snake trying to be a king.

Real investigative journalism, with objective stories on both sides????  NO, that would be too fair.  McCain knows it's a popularity contest and the media has had a love affair with O, including the tingle up the thigh (or whatever disgusting comment Matthews made).  Oh, no, they won't bring Ayers, Acorn, FM/FM corruption, O's financial advisor (behind all of the mortgage mess), etc., etc. etc. to light.

Also, McCain isn't getting the fair and balanced treatment that he deserves, either.  Plain and simple.

try Preparation H over the counter

might help.

IMHO, this is a ridiculous assertion.
Just how does appointing Panetta serve as pay back to the Clintons? He has Clintonites around him because that is where he has to go to look for leadership that is not tainted by Bush's one-man disaster area, especially when it comes to the CIA.
Geez....so many points to counter, so little time...
You can't legislate morality. Uhh...yes you can. We have laws against murder, against stealing...legislating morality. Laws against rape and pedophilia...legislating morality. Laws against sex with minors...legislating morality. You HAVE to legislate morality or you have chaos. Good grief.

No, with sex reduced to "expression," encouraged in teens, multiple partners are fine, you don't even have to like the other person...you bet abstinence did not work. And believe me, it was not the bible-thumpin right you complain about that got us in this boat..so look in the mirror and point the finger. But now that we are here...just because something is not working now doesn't mean you can't present it. Not as the only option, but an option. For someone who hawks choice you really don't want to allow anyone else THEIR choice, do you?? So much for democracy. You need to change your party name.

Look how divisive Republicans are? Just because we don't want to lay down and let you shove "progressive ideas" down our throats? Well, if you look at morality today, you have not done such a great job with "choice" have you? except murder 1.2 million babies a year. yeah, you should all be high-fiving each other with a death toll greater than ALL the wars this country ha ever engaged in. High fives all around.

Palin does not want to take away birth control. She just CHOSE not to use it herself. Taking a pot shot at her daughter is just low. But what else would I expect?

Voting Republican IS in my best interests. Someone posted from the tax policy institute, an unbiased source, posted by a democrat, who looked at both candidate's tax policies.

Obama - will raise the middle income by 5% by 2012. Wants $60 billion to give tax cuts to the lowest income class...who ALREADY pay little or no taxes. And how does he want to pay for it? Tax the "rich"...and businesses making $250,000 will be hit by that. Those are NOT large corporations. THose are family businesses, small businesses, who employ thousands of we regular people. How does THAT make ANY kind of sense? That will only result in loss of jobs and more people in that lower bracket!! Which is EXACTLY what the DNC wants. More people on the welfare rolls...more people to control using class warfare. Right in your face and you can't see it.

MCCAIN: Proposes tax cuts for ALL classes and raising the take home pay for middle class by 3%.

Hmm...lemme see? 5% for middle class, more tax cuts for the ones who pay the least already, and tax the small family businesses in this country to pick up the tab...5% for middle class..further take the economy down...OR...tax cuts for EVERYONE and 3% boost in take home for middle class, protect the jobs that small businesses provide and keep those companies alive and on shore.

That is a no-brainer. McCain's plan is better for the country and for an
economy that needs a boost.

Bill Maher is an elitist and has no CLUE what my life is like. As to stupid...he also needs to look in the mirror and point the finger.

"Corporate America treats its employees like slaves. There is no compassion, just greed." Marxist theory, 101. Rampant socialism. And NOT at all true.

Sarah Palin was not born with a spoon in her mouth. She also worked to get where she is. The difference in her is she did not leave it behind her. She talks the talk AND walks the walk. She definitely knows what it is like to be on the ugly end of the stick...and is STILL close to that.

Obama, sending his kids to $10,000 camps...is not.
Plays the religious card?
When it suits him? How about trying to set the record straight when others spew baloney about him? If you were running for office, you would do the same thing if people were saying incorrect things about you, what you believe in, have voted or not voted for, etc.

If he didn't people would then say, "See, he didn't dispute it, so it must be true." Either way, the bashers find reason to bash ... cause that's what they do.
We'll see how it plays out....like I said and like I have seen soooooo many of you post regarding
I am not letting any of you naysayers rain on my parade!
Bush's Iraq Speech: Long On Assertion, Short On Facts

Bush says "progress is uneven" in Iraq, but accentuates positive evidence and mostly ignores the negative.

June 30, 2005

Standing before a crowd of uniformed soldiers, President Bush addressed the nation on June 27 to reaffirm America's commitment to the global war on terrorism. But throughout the speech Bush continually stated his opinions and conclusions as though they were facts, and he offered little specific evidence to support his assertions.

Here we provide some additional context, both facts that support Bush's case that "we have made significant progress" in Iraq, as well as some of the negative evidence he omitted.

Analysis

Bush's prime-time speech at Fort Bragg, NC coincided with the one-year anniversary of the handover of soverignty to Iraqi authorities. It was designed to lay out America's role in Iraq amid sinking public support for the war and calls by some lawmakers to withdraw troops.

The Bloodshed

Bush acknowledged the high level of violence in Iraq as he sought to reassure the public.

Bush: The work in Iraq is difficult and dangerous. Like most Americans, I see the images of violence and bloodshed. Every picture is horrifying and the suffering is real. Amid all this violence, I know Americans ask the question: Is the sacrifice worth it?

What Bush did not mention is that by most measures the violence is getting worse. Both April and May were record months in Iraq for car bombings, for example, with more than 135 of them being set off each month. And the bombings are getting more deadly. May was a record month for deaths from bombings, with 381 persons killed in "multiple casualty" bombings that took two or more lives, according to figures collected by the Brookings Institution in its "Iraq Index."  The Brookings index is compiled from a variety of sources including official government statistics, where those are available, and other public sources such as news accounts and statements of Iraqi government officials.

The number of Iraqi police and military who have been killed is also rising, reaching 296 so far in June, nearly triple the 109 recorded in January and 103 in Febrary, according to a tally of public information by the website  Iraq Coalition Casualty Count, a private group that documents each fatality from public statements and news reports.  Estimates of the total number of Iraqi civilians killed each month as a result of "acts of war" have been rising as well, according to the Brookings index.

The trend is also evident in year-to-year figures. In the past twelve months, there have been 25% more U.S. troop fatalities and nearly double the average number of insurgent attacks per day as there were in the preceeding 12 months.

Reconstruction Progress

In talking about Iraqi reconstruction, Bush highlighted the positive and omitted the negative:

Bush: We continued our efforts to help them rebuild their country. . . .  Our progress has been uneven but progress is being made. We are improving roads and schools and health clinics and working to improve basic services like sanitation, electricity and water. And together with our allies, we will help the new Iraqi government deliver a better life for its citizens.

Indeed, the State Department's most recent Iraq Weekly Status Report  shows progress is uneven. Education is a positive; official figures show 3,056 schools have been rehabilitated and millions of "student kits" have been distributed to primary and secondary schools. School enrollments are increasing. And there are also 145 new primary healthcare centers currently under construction. The official figures show 78 water treatment projects underway, nearly half of them completed, and water utility operators are regularly trained in two-week courses.

On the negative side, however, State Department figures show overall electricity production is barely above pre-war levels. Iraqis still have power only 12 hours daily on average.

Iraqis are almost universally unhappy about that. Fully 96 percent of urban Iraqis said they were dissatisfied when asked about "the availability of electricity in your neighborhood." That poll was conducted in February for the U.S. military, and results are reported in Brookings' "Iraq Index." The same poll also showed that 20 percent of Iraqi city-dwellers still report being without water to their homes.

Conclusions or Facts?

The President repeatedly stated his upbeat conclusions as though they were facts. For example, he said of "the terrorists:"

Bush: They failed to break our coalition and force a mass withdrawal by our allies. They failed to incite an Iraqi civil war.

In fact, there have been withdrawals by allies. Spain pulled out its 1,300 soldiers in April, and Honduras brought home its 370 troops at the same time. The Philippines withdrew its 51 troops last summer to save the life of a Filipino hostage held captive for eight months in Iraq. Ukraine has already begun a phased pullout of its 1,650-person contingent, which the Defense Ministry intends to complete by the end of the year. Both the Netherlands and Italy have announced plans to withdraw their troops, and the Bulgarian parliament recently granted approval to bring home its 450 soldiers. Poland, supplying the third-largest contingent in the coalition after Italy's departure, has backed off a plan for full withdrawal of troops due to the success of Iraqi elections and talks with Condoleezza Rice, but the Polish Press Agency announced in June that the next troop rotation will have 200 fewer soldiers.

Bush is of course entitled to argue that these withdrawals don't constitute a "mass" withdrawal, but an argument isn't equivalent to a fact.

The same goes for Bush's statement there's no "civil war" going on. In fact, some believe that what's commonly called the "insurgency" already is a "civil war" or something very close to it. For example, in an April 30 piece, the Times of London quotes Colonel Salem Zajay, a police commander in Southern Baghdad, as saying, "The war is not between the Iraqis and the Americans. It is between the Shia and the Sunni." Again, Bush is entitled to state his opinion to the contrary, but stating a thing doesn't make it so.

Terrorism

Similarly, Bush equated Iraqi insurgents with terrorists who would attack the US if they could.

Bush: There is only one course of action against them: to defeat them abroad before they attack us at home. . . . Our mission in Iraq is clear. We are hunting down the terrorists .

Despite a few public claims to the contrary, however, no solid evidence has surfaced linking Iraq to attacks on the United States, and Bush offered none in his speech. The 9/11 Commission issued a staff report more than a year ago saying "so far we have no credible evidence that Iraq and al Qaeda cooperated on attacks against the United States." It said Osama bin Laden made a request in 1994 to establish training camps in Iraq, but "but Iraq apparently never responded." That was before bin Laden was ejected from Sudan and moved his operation to Afghanistan.

Bush laid stress on the "foreign" or non-Iraqi elements in the insurgency as evidence that fighting in Iraq might prevent future attacks on the US:

Bush: I know Americans ask the question: Is the sacrifice worth it? It is worth it, and it is vital to the future security of our country . And tonight I will explain the reasons why.
Some of the violence you see in Iraq is being carried out by ruthless killers who are converging on Iraq to fight the advance of peace and freedom. Our military reports that we have killed or captured hundreds of foreign fighters in Iraq who have come from Saudi Arabia, Syria, Iran, Egypt, Sudan, Yemen, Libya and other nations.

But Bush didn't mention that the large majority of insurgents are Iraqis, not foreigners. The overall strength of the insurgency has been estimated at about 16,000 persons. The number of foreign fighters in Iraq is only about 1,000, according to estimates reported by the Brookings Institution. The exact number is of course impossible to know. However, over the course of one week during the major battle for Fallujah in November of 2004, a Marine official said that only about 2% of those detained were foreigners. To be sure, Brookings notes that "U.S. military believe foreign fighters are responsible for the majority of suicide bombings in Iraq," with perhaps as many as 70 percent of bombers coming from Saudi Arabia alone. It is anyone's guess how many of those Saudi suicide bombers might have attempted attacks on US soil, but a look at the map shows that a Saudi jihadist can drive across the border to Baghdad much more easily than getting nearly halfway around the world to to the US.

Osama bin Laden

Bush quoted a recent tape-recorded message by bin Laden as evidence that the Iraq conflict is "a central front in the war on terror":

Bush: Hear the words of Osama bin Laden: "This Third World War is raging" in Iraq..."The whole world is watching this war." He says it will end in "victory and glory or misery and humiliation."

However, Bush passed over the fact that the relationship between bin Laden and the Iraqi insurgents – to the extent one existed at all before – grew much closer after the US invaded Iraq. Insurgent leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi did not announce his formal allegiance with bin Laden until October, 2004. It was only then that Zarqawi changed the name of his group from "Unification and Holy War Group" to "al Qaeda in Iraq."

In summary, we found nothing false in what Bush said, only that his facts were few and selective.

I somehow don't see Russia, North Korea, Iran, and all the communist/socalist radicals, falling into line for world govt any time soon. Some of them would more than likely lob off a nuclear weapon or two, not that I want to see that happen, but that scenario jumps to the forefront, rather than world union, more in my imagination.....

And having the leaders of Iran, Russia and North Korea doing welcoming overtures to meet with Obama before even in office, really, really does not give me a warm, fuzzy feeling.....

I understand where you're coming from but really...do you REALLY think now days abortion is just because men want a woman to have one? Women are more permiscuous than ever, starting at younger and younger ages, and THEY don't want a child.

I knew of a woman back in the early 70's when abortion was legal on in a couple of states. She had just started college, found out she was pregnant. The man she said was the father begged her to marry him...he wanted to take responsibility but she didn't want to lose her scholarship. Lose a scholarship....murder a child. What a decision to make!! No, I don't always blame the men because I witnessed a very selfish woman who could have cared less. She came from a family who thought they were on the high social ladder as did she, and she certainly wasn't going to waste her time with a baby!!! She had more important things to do BUT I may add, she certainly didn't waste any time making her rounds with the guys back at college. So, please keep in mind, there really are a lot of women who really do not see it as that important an issue. They too just want to have fun and not deal with the consequences either.
Not so fast....
Palin was never a member of the Alaskan Independence Party. I can find no credible evidence that she supported them or funded them. She did address their convention, but then Obama addressed the convention for ACORN.

From The New York Times: Alaskan Independence Party officials released a statement Monday saying that Ms. Palin had been a member for two years, from 1994 to 1996, information included in reports in The New York Times and other news outlets. In Internet videos of recent party meetings, other party officials can be seen boasting of Ms. Palin’s past membership.

On Tuesday, though, the party’s chairwoman, Lynette Clark, said the earlier statement was false. Ms. Clark said that she had based it on information another party member had given her, but that a review of the records showed only that Ms. Palin had attended the 1994 conference.

Ms. Clark added that while the review confirmed Todd Palin as a member, it did not indicate that Ms. Palin had been one.

On Wednesday, Ms. Clark released a corrected statement, saying, in part, “I, foolishly, repeated and accepted as fact what an officer of this membership shared with myself, and husband Dexter Clark, over a year ago.”

“I humbly apologize to Governor Palin, and to both national and local press and media,” she added.

Perhaps you did not do enough research?

As to the power and role of the Vice President...what she is talking about IS in the constitution. The Vice President presides over the senate and can be present whenever they are if the VP so wishes. Good for her. SOMEBODY needs to be watching them, I would think this recent financial crisis would tell us that. She is not talking about changing the CONSTITUTION. She is talking about exercising the rights it gives the position. No other VP has been interested in doing so. No reason she...or any VP...shouldn't. Read what the Constitution says about the VP position.
Well....not so fast....
we won't know until election night, I firmly believe that. The polls are closing fast, but I don't put much stock in polls, never have.

Whatever the outcome, if a majority of poor misguided folks vote Obama in...it won't be with my help. Got my yard sign. :-)

Going under fast, aren't they.
Starting to sound a mite peeved:) Look, person - we KNOW some people support this screw-up of a profiteering war. Like you. What don't you get about that? WE KNOW.

Now, tell us YOU KNOW that just as many - to judge by the 300,000 versus the 300, ONE HUNDRED times as many DO NOT support this mess any longer.

Why do you seem to feel that people who agree with you are somehow PROOF that yours is the only way to think? What are you going to do about the REST of those who do not believe what you do? What are you going to do when soldiers are speaking 100,000 to 1 against the war? You better think about it, because it's shaping up that way.
I bet it will drop as fast as it did

It's amazing how fast you can backpeddle

You have made some very anti-semetic remarks about the Israeli's, and now you are being called on the carpet about it.  You've documented several times with your supporting remarks of the Muslim protestors in Washington (which I've failed to find any reference to besides your obscure article link) that you think Israel and the U.S. are mean murderous tyrannically-governed countries.  If you are going to take a side take a side, but your attempt to suddenly appear tolerant in the presence of a Jewish person is VERY disingenous, and I for one don't by it for a second.  Pick a side and stick to it.  If you don't support Israel then stand by your assertions.  If you do support Israel then you need to make yourself a little clearer, because all I see you doing is siding with Hezbollah.

I keep seeing posts about how awful the republicans are, blah, blah, blah. Then comes the lies and false statement without any facts. But the minute you put something out there about Obama with a link and reliable sources you get jumped on and called evil. I'll tell ya, makes me think Hitler is still alive and visits this board. I can't write too fast anymore, but here's what I did get

1. Fiscal Stimulus Plan: Before or after inauguration (sp). Wants to get it moving quickly, but if he has to wait until January 20, so be it, but states he will try during these couple months to push one through now.

2. Retooling assistance plan for automakers for fuel-effieicnt cars. He realizes that the auto industry employs thousands and other companies depend on the auto industry for their jobs. Wants this package done quickly.

3. Review implementaion of plans and not rewarding management for housing problems that are caused.

4. Grow middle class in the long term.

Reporters asked questions but couldn't get them all.

1. He wants to help the states financially.

2. As to going to other countries for conferences: He is developing a team and weighing all his options. Iran's nuclear weapons are unacceptable along with the militants. This has to cease. It's not something he can do in a knee-jerk fashion and wants to be careful (not to p--s them off).

3. Tax plan: 95% of WORKING Americans will get it. His first goal is tax relief for struggling families and to build the economy from the bottom up.

That's all I could get.

the problem with responding too fast
...is that you end up leaving out important phrases!

The $72 an hour figure quoted in the article, I should have said, isn't made of *just* the wages and benefits of current employees--it's also including those paid to retired workers, the ones who paid into the retirement fund their whole lives, and are now living off those benefits.

In other words, you take the wages/benefits paid to the current 180,000 or so autoworkers, PLUS those paid to the 400,000 or so retirees and the 120,000 spouses of dead retirees, then divide that by the 180,000 current workers, then say, LOOK HOW MUCH THOSE GUYS GET PAID! It's an incredibly artifically inflated number.

And noooo one in the media ever seems to question it.

Not so fast. Comparative drug use exercise.
There is a distinction between these two types of cocaine/crack use, as expressed in a medical study entitled "Crack cocaine and cocaine hydrochloride: Are the differences myth or reality?"

http://www.cocaine.org/crack/index.html
"...evidence exists showing a greater abuse liability, greater propensity for dependence, and more severe consequences when cocaine is smoked (cocaine-base) or injected intravenously (cocaine hydrochloride) compared with intranasal use (cocaine hydrochloride)." There is also evidence that crack cocaine use is linked to a higher incidence crime/violent crime than the use of "blow." Next time you set out to assasignate someone's character, remember you will be a whole lot more credible with (a) a little more research, and (b) a little less exaggeration.

Obama did not quantify his use in the book. He only defined the time span as sometime during his high school senior year until he arrived in New York to attend Columbia University, to include his 2 years at Occidental College (1979-1981). This would mean that he experimented with drugs at ages 17, 18 and 19 while in his teens. He decided to stop the drug use on his own accord. He then turned around and wrote about this experience in his first book, "Dreams From My Father," which started out as a commissioned book on race relations that later evolved into an autobiography. He began writing the book in 1990 and it was published in mid 1995, a year before he ran for office. It is worth noting that he was not forced to include this information in the book....he chose to. He disclosed one of his "greatest regrets," (his words) within the context of an honest, sincere, and direct expression of its (drug use) relationship to race relations and biographical information. Political agenda does not seem to be the motivation.

Cindy McCain's addiction ensued at the adult age of 35, nine years into her marriage, as a mother of three children, ages 5, 3 and 1. Her addiction spanned 3 years, about the same as Obama's "experimental" use. However, her disclosure (even to her husband) was not voluntary. John McCain was informed of her addiction during a forced (birth) family intervention, who then at the ripe adult age of 52, proceeded to engineer the "diversion program" cover-up/escape of criminal charges as described in the other post and in the midst of an active DEA investigation and pending criminal trial.

Aside from the drug addiction, involving an AVMT MD in providing her with illegal prescriptions and stealing drugs, it seems that there were a few more fires John McCain sought to extinguish. Seems she had approached a member of AVMT's voluntary medical team, demanding that he commit perjury in adoption proceedings of her Bangladeshi baby daughter and had attempted to "prevent" a former foundation employee from giving accurate information to the DEA during it's investigation. Further allegations were made that Cindy had abused her husband's office and diplomatic privileges by transporting illegal substances overseas. Of course, none of these issues were ever formally aired during court proceedings, since John McCain was able to succeed in "diverting" this embarrassing disaster.

So let's see, she comes clean to her husband under the threat of criminal charges, public humiliation and the tangible possibility of ruining her husband's career and is okay with having other people perjure themselves to gain approval for bringing a 4th child/infant into the mix of the not-so-remote drug addiction. Looks like the money and political clout has served her well in staying out of prison, bypassing adoption standards and abusing her own authority over foundation MDs and employees. Also looks like her disclosure did have elements of political agenda as she sought to save her own behind.

Drug use is drug use. But age, context, duration, type, criminality and injury to other parties are also part of this picture. It is not hard to figure out where Obama's policies come from with regard to medical treatment versus incarceration for first-time users and/or non-violent drug offenses. On the other hand, where John McCain's lock-'em-down and shun-'em drug policies defy logic and fly in the face of how he decided to handle the situation when it was HIS house, HIS wife, HIS job and HIS future on the line.

No offense taken. Rumors spread so fast, especially ...sm
bad rumors intended to scare and manipulate people. I think the excitement of the people at his rallies is because they see him as someone who offers the common people hope. He has never addressed or dwelled on any of the many, many rumors being spread about him. I believe he is an upstanding American citizen, a Christian, who has a lovely wife and family and is nothing like what the right wing of the republican party is painting him to be. Keep praying on it but don't get taken in by people who are not so Christian themselves.
Woohoo...change is coming fast and furious.
President Obama just announced that the pay of top White House employees is being frozen. The Associated Press says it will affect those in positions paying more than $100,000 a year.

"All of you are committed to building a more responsible government," Obama told top staff at a meeting now underway at the White House.

"Families are tightening their belts and so should Washington," Obama added.

The president also announced he's about to sign new ethics rules designed to restrict lobbying by current staff after they leave the administration.
That's why Fox news rating are skyrocketing with MSNBC and CNN are going down fast
Fox News - 1,217,000
CNN - 633,000
MSNBC - 482,000

I was surprised to see that CNN has more viewers than MSNBC. Fox news gives you the news and tells you everything - both sides. The other two don't. They just feed you garbage all day.
The truth sounds rude when put bluntly but still is the truth. nm

Oops, meant to post this under the loose trolls post...
I'm going to keep ignoring these troll posts.  It's kind of fun, actually, just pretend you don't see them.
Liberal truth vs. Conservative truth.
x
The truth, the whole truth and nothing but...It's probably the biggest...sm
reason why I am voting democrat...they seem more honest than the the republicans and it looks like people are starting to get smart and *bailin' Palin*... We don't need to keep hearing her *greatest hits" version of her acceptance speech over and over and McSame's POW story...that was then, this is now...we need REAL change and we need it NOW. I don't need someone to push the red button, I need someone to fix the economy!
Truth? The truth is she is nuts!
nm
Why are you McCain people so desperate? You are just like McCain. No plan. Just criticism of the
other candidate.  I guess you want the same old thing we have had for the past 8 years.  God forbid McCain win with that wild woman, Palin.
Truth

give me a freaking break, okay?  The truth needs to be posted over and over and over again.

the truth
So true and so well put.
You could not be further from the truth. NM
...
Now, now, now... let's tell the TRUTH, which is NOT:

His first guest on his first show was Madalyn O'Hair (very appropo, since he is himself an atheist).

History IS important.  Check yours.

Phil Donahue is a Catholic.

Where's the truth in the above?

It's just your fantasy of wanting Bush to get caught getting a B.J....and quoting Marey Carey, a former porn star.  Any credibility you had you just flew out the window.

The truth is that no one really knows the truth about 911.sm
I think their secrecy surrounding the matter is creating oddball theories. I do not know if I would call them a subculture, but I know the 911 truth movement is quite large (millions). This will even be used as a political platform for a few running for office. One that comes to mind is Robert Bowman running for Congress.
Truth.

If you believe –
That the Bible is the inspired Word of God
That Jehovah God is a God of integrity and it is impossible for Him to break covenant because of His character,
That Jesus Christ is our example, and we are to follow Him,
Then there is no Biblical alternative to supporting Israel and the Jewish people.

Are you all nonbelievers here?

We already know the truth. nm

The truth (as you see it)...sm
Quotes from Mizz Coulter:

Freedom of Speech

* They're [Democrats] always accusing us of repressing their speech. I say let's do it. Let's repress them. Frankly, I'm not a big fan of the First Amendment.
o University of Florida speech; October 20, 2005.

Immigration

* I'd build a wall. In fact, I'd hire illegal immigrants to build the wall. And throw out the illegals who are here. [...] It's cheap labor.
o Fox News; The O'Reilly Factor; Transcript via Media Matters; April 14, 2006.
o On illegal immigration

Liberals

* VESTER: You say you’d rather not talk to liberals at all? COULTER: I think a baseball bat is the most effective way these days.
o (FOX News Channel, DaySide with Linda Vester, 10/6

New York Times

* My only regret with Timothy McVeigh is he did not go to the New York Times building.
o New York Observer article; August 26, 2002.

* Of course I regret it. I should have added 'after everyone had left the building except the editors and the reporters.'
o rightwingnews.com; June 26, 2003.
o On her (above) statement concerning Timothy McVeigh

* [Learning difficulties are a cover for] rich parents with dumb kids...That's why 'Pinch' Sulzberger, the publisher of The New York Times, is alleged to have dyslexia - because he's retarded.

o Philander Smith College January 26, 2006 [6]

Women

* I think [women] should be armed but should not vote...women have no capacity to understand how money is earned. They have a lot of ideas on how to spend it...it's always more money on education, more money on child care, more money on day care.
o Comedy Central; Politically Incorrect; February 26, 2001.

* It would be a much better country if women did not vote. That is simply a fact. In fact, in every presidential election since 1950 - except Goldwater in '64 - the Republican would have won, if only the men had voted.
o [8]; May 17, 2003.

* I think the other point that no one is making about the [Abu Ghraib] abuse photos is just the disproportionate number of women involved, including a girl general running the entire operation. I mean, this is lesson, you know, number 1,000,047 on why women shouldn't be in the military. In addition to not being able to carry even a medium-sized backpack, women are too vicious.
o Fox News; Hannity & Colmes; May 5, 2004.

Voting

* I think there should be a literacy test and a poll tax for people to vote.
o Fox News; Hannity & Colmes; August 17, 1997.

Liberals hate religion because politics is a religion substitute for liberals and they can't stand the competition.

* Slander (2002) ISBN 1400046610, p. 194

Liberals hate America, they hate flag-wavers, they hate abortion opponents, they hate all religions except Islam, post 9/11. Even Islamic terrorists don't hate America like liberals do. They don't have the energy. If they had that much energy, they'd have indoor plumbing by now.

* Slander (2002) ISBN 1400046610, p. 5-6

I think the government should be spying on all Arabs, engaging in torture as a televised spectator sport, dropping daisy cutters wantonly throughout the Middle East and sending liberals to Guantanamo.

o Paula Jones

* If those kids had been carrying guns they would have gunned down this one [teenage] gunman. ... Don't pray. Learn to use guns.
o Politically Incorrect; December 18, 1997.
o Heath High School shooting (where a gunman killed 3 students at a prayer meeting at the school). When she said Don't pray, Coulter may have been asked whether she approved of praying in school.

* [A] cruise missile is more important than Head Start.
o From a speech, November 2001, rebroadcast by C-Span in January, 2002.
o Education spending vs. defense spending

The list goes on:
These broads are millionaires, lionized on TV and in articles about them, reveling in their status as celebrities and stalked by griefparrazies. I have never seen people enjoying their husband's deaths so much. -on 9/11 widows who have been critical of the Bush administration

We need somebody to put rat poisoning in Justice Stevens' creme brulee. That's just a joke, for you in the media.

Liberals love America like O.J. loved Nicole.

There are a lot of bad republicans; there are no good democrats.

We need to execute people like (John Walker Lindh) in order to physically intimidate liberals.

Whether they are defending the Soviet Union or bleating for Saddam Hussein, liberals are always against America. They are either traitors or idiots.

We should invade their countries, kill their leaders, and convert them to Christianity.

Liberals are stalwart defenders of civil liberties -- provided we're only talking about criminals.

We've finally given liberals a war against fundamentalism, and they don't want to fight it. They would, except it would put them on the same side as the United States.

Press passes can't be that hard to come by if the White House allows that old Arab Helen Thomas to sit within yards of the President.

The swing voters -- I like to refer to them as the idiot voters because they don't have set philosophical principles. You're either a liberal or you're a conservative if you have an IQ above a toaster.
