Interesting Quiz
I found this site to be interesting. The quiz is not terribly in depth, but my main result was accurate as to the direction I am leaning. The second choice match surprised me though.

Short quiz...(sm)
Who was the president on 09/11/2001?  People seem to forget that for some reason.

Why did the chicken cross the road?

DR. PHIL:

The problem we have here is that this chicken won't realize that he must first deal with the problem on 'THIS' side of the road before it goes after the problem on the 'OTHER SIDE' of the road. What we need to do is help him realize how stupid he's acting by not taking on his 'CURRENT' problems before adding 'NEW' problems.

OPRAH:

Well, I understand that the chicken is having problems, which is why he wants to cross this road so bad. So instead of having the chicken learn from his mistakes and take falls, which is a part of life, I'm going to give this chicken a car so that he can just drive across the road and not live his life like the rest of the chickens.

GEORGE W. BUSH:

We don't really care why the chicken crossed the road. We just want to know if the chicken is on our side of the road, or not. The chicken is either against us, or for us. There is no middle ground here.

COLIN POWELL:

Now to the left of the screen, you can clearly see the satellite image of the chicken crossing the road...

ANDERSON COOPER - CNN:

We have reason to believe there is a chicken, but we have not yet been allowed to have access to the other side of the road.

JOHN KERRY:

Although I voted to let the chicken cross the road, I am now against it!

It was the wrong road to cross, and I was misled about the chicken's intentions. I am not for it now, and will remain against it.

BARACK OBAMA:

The chicken crossed the road because it was time for a CHANGE! The chicken wanted CHANGE!

JOHN MC CAIN:

My friends, that chicken crossed the road because he recognized the need to engage in cooperation and dialogue with all the chickens on the other side of the road.

HILLARY CLINTON:

When I was First Lady, I personally helped that little chicken to cross the road. This experience makes me uniquely qualified to ensure -- right from Day One! -- that every chicken in this country gets the chance it deserves to cross the road.  But then, this really isn't about me.......

NANCY GRACE:

That chicken crossed the road because he's GUILTY! You can see it in his eyes and the way he walks.

PAT BUCHANAN:

To steal the job of a decent, hardworking American.

MARTHA STEWART:

No one called me to warn me which way that chicken was going. I had a standing order at the Farmer's Market to sell my eggs when the price dropped to a certain level. No little bird gave me any insider information.

DR SEUSS:

Did the chicken cross the road? Did he cross it with a toad? Yes, the chicken crossed the road, but why it crossed I've not been told.

ERNEST HEMINGWAY:

To die in the rain. Alone.

GRANDPA:

In my day we didn't ask why the chicken crossed the road. Somebody told us the chicken crossed the road, and that was good enough.

BARBARA WALTERS:

Isn't that interesting? In a few moments, we will be listening to the chicken tell, for the first time, the heart warming story of how it experienced a serious case of molting, and went on to accomplish its life long dream of crossing the road.

ARISTOTLE:

It is the nature of chickens to cross the road.

JOHN LENNON:

Imagine all the chickens in the world crossing roads together, in peace.

BILL GATES:

I have just released eChicken2007, which will not only cross roads, but will lay eggs, file your important documents, and balance your check book. Internet Explorer is an integral part of the Chicken. This new platform is much more stable and will never cra...#@&&^(C% .........

reboot.

ALBERT EINSTEIN:

Did the chicken really cross the road, or did the road move beneath the chicken?

BILL CLINTON:

I did not cross the road with THAT chicken. What is your definition of chicken?

AL GORE:

I invented the chicken!

COLONEL SANDERS:

Did I miss one?

DICK CHENEY:

Where's my gun?

AL SHARPTON:

Why are all the chickens white? We need some black chickens.

Yep, it helps...off to Google...
however, I know I can find as many or more for the other side. Have you read them as well? I will if you will....
awww come on lighten up
i think it is a hilarious article. but then again, i find politics funny because, if i didnt, id be crying every night. :)
I hope this helps
Each election seems to get worse and worse. This is by far the worst election I've seen in my life. I think in the era of computers people are more quick to say hateful and hurtful things because you can't see who you are saying it to. Stuff you would never ever say to someone's face.

I served my country in the US Army under Ronald Reagan and was proud of my country. I learned that there are many people of different nationalities/ backgrounds and that everyone should be respected. I was proud of my country back then but like you I am ashamed of the way people act today.

I feel that in today's world people have just gotten worse and worse. I think a lot of frustrations arise from what is happening in the country right now (a lot of uncertainty). Even though there are people who will only blame one side or the other and never take responsibility, if you read history you will see both sides are at fault. But more people are angrier and have no fear of standing up and saying whatever they want to without doing research. It's seems a lot easier to blame the other side than try to find a solution.

My g-pappy told me two things you never talk about with people. Politics and religion. He said those two are the hottest of subjects, not everyone is going to agree with you, and you will most likely either hurt someone's feelings or have yours hurt. And as my mama said to me.... "if I ever hear you talking like that to someone I'll slap the snot out of you" HA HA

For me....I just want a qualified President and I'll leave it at that.
Something to lighten things up a little....

I thought everyone needed a laugh or a smile.

Something to lighten up the mood

After the election it was voted that our town did not want to pay taxes to increase the police force or fire department (we have a population of about 25,000 here).  Right now there are maybe 3 to 5 officers or so.  Last night as we were watching TV we could hear a police siren and my husband said.  "Didn't you hear, because nobody wants to pay any more taxes for police they have now designated one house that every half hour or so they play the recording of a police siren going by so that way people will think we actually have police here".

We had a good laugh with that one.

I personally think it helps to an extent...
I listened to Michelle Obama's speech and I thought she was very articulate...and they are a beautiful family. I did listen to Hillary, and in my opinion, she made it all about her. She said the right things, but I don't think her heart was in it. I think there is a LOT of bitterness there still. Bill already put his foot in his mouth, no telling what he will say during his speech. What I found very strange was the camera focused on him while Hillary was speaking, and he had tears in his eyes, and he mouthed "I love you I love you I love you." It was easy to see what he was saying. Have no idea if that was for the cameras or was a really unguarded moment. Who knows? It just seemed really out of character for him. I did notice that she said she came before the crowd a proud mother, a proud Democrat and a proud United States Senator from New York...but nuttin' about being a proud wife...lol. Who can blame her??

As to Barack and Michelle being down to earth, I know that is the message she wanted to send. But when speaking to a group of middle class-type women, she kinda messed up when she told a story about Barack getting on to her for a $10,000 bill for the kids(yes, ten thousand) and she said to him, "Do you know how much camp costs?" That demonstrates that she was out of touch with the people she was talking to. $10,000 is probably a third of what they make a YEAR if they were lucky. She lives a very different life than the middle class. She may remember it from childhood, but she has left that behind her. Not that that is a bad thing...it just demonstrates that they are rich folks just like McCain. Most politicians are. It goes with the territory. All that being said, having money does not make any of them bad people.

I missed the speech of the man from Virginia, so can't comment on that one. Bill's will be interesting. You never know what is going to come out of his mouth.

I think we will find out more about the candidates after the convention, when we have official nominees, get to the debates, and if we can sort through the mud being slung from both sides, that is where most of our information will come from.

Oh lighten up....they're all puppets, we know that.....nm

Having a goal helps! My neighbor used to
he got the idea that he wanted to run in a marathon someday, and I don't know how he's managed to stick with it for so long but in just a year, but he's gone from a slug, to a fit, good-looking athlete! Every day after work, he runs the hills around our town. Then, when he's done with that, he gets on his bike and rides about 20-30 miles. He also cut out the junk food. He's gone from about 300 pounds to a lean 150 or so. Truly amazing!
well put. Marijuana is passive, helps pain. Alcohol kills.
