You obviously are on your soapbox FOR abortion so you missed my point completely, which was if the law says abortion is legal and this lady was trying to abort her baby, why should she be arrested? She just didn't go to a clinic to have her abortion....
BTW, she had an alternative. There is a local clinic that performs abortions paid for by so-called private donations.....she could have gotten one all day for free. Who said I begrudged her food stamps, you hypocrit? There is lots of help here for a pregnant woman, free of charge, to help with her cost, free delivery of her child, adoption discussions, extended follow up and care for her and the baby if she decided to keep it, etc. I know, I volunteer for one of the pregnancy crisis centers that tries to help a pregnant woman through this difficult time when she feels alone and not cared for, and feels there is no way out but abortion. This agency does not do abortions but gives a mother very supportive care, which is why so many now keep their children; they know someone out there really does care and will help her through all the anxiety and worry about the future......
What a hypocrit! How many volunteer organizations do you help with for pregnant mothers?
