The only thing Palin and Hillary have in common

We are not so stupid to vote for someone just because she is a woman. That is insulting. Palin is a nasty, evil, stupid person. The fact that old saggy man chose her for VP put our country at risk. He even lost the republicans on that one.

The only thing I have in common with SP
is that we were both pregnant when we got married. My daughter is 19 and never been pregnant. I don't own a gun. I am not religious. And I don't have a tanning bed.
Sarah Palin is smart and common sense. Snooty

There is also such a thing as common sense.

One thing I like about Palin is that...
she is not a McCain "yes" person. They do disagree on some issues. And I myself would not classify an abortion clinic bomber as a domestic terrorist. I would classify them as criminals who should be punished according to state laws. Just like that guy who was shooting abortionists. Not a terrorist, a criminal. Just my opinion. And isn't she (Palin) entitled to hers?
Sorry, Palin ain't my thing.....neither is Obama

Palin believes teaching abstinence only is the thing to do - nm

These people would not give Palin credit for a thing.

Sarah Palin fans are as whack as Palin.
Even John McCain's top adviser referred to Sarah Palin as a whack job.
Vote McCain and Palin! -oh and why does Palin

Palin over Biden any day. Make fun of Palin all you
nm
Well, we do have something in common...
I would vote for your dog before I would vote for any of the Democrats running.
Have a nice day, LD.
So you 2 have a lot in common.
Seriously, hon, let it go. Your childish jeering says volumes about your lack of emotional maturity.
And you have the superballs to snipe about Palin's intelligence? She's a governor. She's articulate. And intelligent.
And you are......so far you haven't proven to be any of those things.
That might be more common than you think...
we ran across that while trying to sell our house. Every real estate agent looked up online how much we paid and then tried to get the price way down based on that number. Of course, they did not know that we bought it way below market value and that we put a lot of money and work into it.
Common ground! Woo-hoo! nm
No, that just has to do with some common sense
@
You need to get some common decency. nm
nm
No, but I do have common sense.
nm
Exactly! Thanks for being common sense
nm
Well, for those with common sense
it's no secret that MORE money will have to be printed to pay for all those ridiculous programs and trillions of dollars in junk stuff. The dollar is worth nadda right now, so it will be worth nil afterwards. How much lower can you go?
Anyone with half a brain knows even if we weren't paying for a wars, that wouldn't even touch the money needed to cover the trillion dollar screwover job he's doing to the American people. He can cut this and cut that and call it duplicate programs, blah, blah, blah, but what good is that when he turns around and ADDS and ADDS more and more trillions of dollars in spending programs?
Government has never and WILL NEVER be the ones who know how to spend your money. All you Obama lovers need to stop pointing fingers at the republicans. Republicans AND Democrats spend too much; that's why it continues to this day. Doesn't matter who is in office. BUT, this is one president who has absolutely gone crazy with spending..........and we thought Jimmy Carter was a nut!!
Common Decency
I have a very strong backbone and am not offended by anything posted on this board because I take into consideration the ignorance of the posters. I am, however, a decent human being who refuses to lower myself to your level by using a phrase that relates to one of the most horrific acts of our time. Your lack of compassion for the people who died in Jonestown says volumes about you!
Fortunately, since I do not come into personal contact with people such as yourself, I find this board very enlightening and have no intention of finding a different board to frequent.
Can I put a more common perspectiveon this?.....sm
I am sorry that I brought up Rush's drug problems and buying prescription drugs illegally through his housekeeper, or whatever. I guess what makes me mad is he puts himself out there as the moral majority, he presents himself as an ultimate authority passing judgement freely, but I am sure HE does not want to be judged. And as for Barack's drug use, how many of us, as stupid kids, might have taken a hit off a joint, or tried something. Perhaps he dabbled a bit in cocaine, I don't remember, and I am not excusing that at all, but it is NOT THE SAME as being addicted or a junkie. That is really slanderous talk.
Common sense would say
that prices may go down a tad bit, but don't be looking to get a car for free. Dealerships still have to at least break even on vehicles to survive. They can't just give a car away for nothing. Dealerships are hurting big time right now and people have the common misconception that they will sell something really cheap because they are hurting. Well selling something and taking a huge loss isn't going to help that dealership so why would they do it? These salesmen work on commission and they are starving here. What is the point of working if they can't make anything off of a car to feed their family?
If I were you....I'd just kind of shop around but I highly doubt that prices are going to drop dramatically. Even if Chrysler files bankruptcy.....that doesn't mean dealerships selling them will file too. It certainly won't help sales but it doesn't automatically mean they are going under too. They still have a product to sell and to make money off of to survive.
Did your common sense tell you...(sm)
that I wasn't talking to you?
Common sense...
some have it...some don't...
what makes these 2 so much different? They have a lot of common,
overlapping characteristics.
Where is your answer?
Have none?
But valuing over the price of a dollar is a right thing wing thing, so you are on the wrong board. n
x
Yes, well, you and the Dixie Chicks have a lot in common. sm
Only a few more years, Lurker. Hopefully, the hatred most here feel for him will not have consumed them before then.
Lack of common sense
An 83-year-old woman is too old, most likely, to be of much assistance in Iraq. Not ruling it out totally, but most likely this is the case. I have gleaned from the posts I have read that the rah-rah-war conservatives doing most of the posting are fairly able-bodied, some in their 30s, some in their 50s and some older. I am 52 and if I truly truly believed in this war I feel I would be over there doing what I could to support that effort (especially since many over there do NOT want to be there and have serious qualms about our involvement). But go ahead, call me names and make even more ENDLESS excuses why you won't go. Maybe even mention a 95-year-old or a 5-year-old that supports the war as examples of folks who aren't over there.
In the meantime I read more and more that the Taliban and Al-Qaeda continue to grow and operate at ease and at will in a large area of Afghanistan near Pakistan.
It common sense - if we can afford one
Simple as that. You can twist it around as much as you want, but the truth is the money is there, and it is just about priorities. I am not trying to personally attack you. I have not resorted to childish name calling or anything like that, I just think your view is warped, and you obviously think my view is wrong, and we will obviously never agree on this issue.
Exactly, that is the common thread in Democratic...
party these days. And the only way to end that stalemate in Waashington is for that, for lack of a better word...crap to stop. McCain and Palin are reaching across the aisle, saying they are willing to work with democrats to stop the stalemate...country first. McCain says he wants Democrats and Independents in his cabinet. Country first. This election is a no-brainer for this Independent. McCain/Palin.
You would say that. Common sense is lost to the
nm
Common sense and ethics
seems to become less and less around these days. I agree with your post. The b/c issue is so the least of my worries and I simply don't understand exactly what it is the supporters of same want to accomplish.
I fear we haven't seen anything yet. Heard on CNN (which of course some will say is not credible) that the unemployment rate could reach 20% within the next few months. I should think with MTs not having enough work now, that would keep them sufficiently busy worrying. I don't know what Obama will do. All I know to do is pray. I think it is entirely possible that Bush AND the congress have put us so far in the tank there may not be any way out economically. My guess is that we will be taken over by one of our creditor nations and there goes what's left of our freedom, certainly the freedom to get on the internet and state our thoughts. But then Bush has bought himself a ranch in Argentina isn't it? So if his residence in Big D doesn't suit him along with the condition he has left this country in, he has an escape. Unfortunately most of us can't afford that luxury so we'll be left to deal with the mess he and the idiot congress have left us along with a massive debt in proportions I cannot begin to comprehend.
Yes, there are many more things at this point that are far more important than the b/c issue. Wouldn't surprise me if these lawsuits are being filed to dupe people who believe everything they hear. As I've said before, I do not believe that those who are keeping this b/c thing rolling posting the same thing over and over and over are actually MTs. I think they are promoting a political agenda. I have said this before and I notice no one has posted challenging my thoughts.
I had a great holiday. Thanks for asking. I hope you had a great time too.
No, some of us have values and common sense.

It is just common sense that the economy has to ...sm
come first before any big changes are made. When change is made it needs to be slow and deliberate.
thought u would have enough common sense
when I posted my original post FOCA I was responding to some people below, if you do not like my posts or are sick of hearing about the video, then common sense tells you, dont read my posts. A blah blah blah post or I'm sick of hearing it post, really doesn't have anything constructive to offer to the conversation. If you are sick of hearing it, move on already. No one asked you to comment. And what the heck is a diest anyway? My what they come up with these days.
Agree. You'd think it would be common sense.
Tax breaks for the top 2% and corporations, or tax breaks and programs to get the economy going again for working people. I don't understand why so many working-class republicans fight against their own interests.
Ron Paul's common sense
never fails to restore my faith in the democratic process. His ideas are rooted in thoughtful, down-to-earth analysis and free of partisan affiliation and agendas. It makes me proud when an elected official has the guts to stand up and speak against US involvement in the Middle East, call it exactly what it is and in the next breath expouse the wisdom of centrism when speaking on the economy and the bail outs. I hope he's around for many years to come.
What we need is a common-sense quotient.
;)
Sorry Shelly, but the common thread
parental responsibility versus government interference. You folks can't have it both ways. I have no problem, big or otherwise, understanding these concepts, but you, on the other hand, need to take off those blinders. Government interference in responsible parenting applies to both situations in exactly the same context, that being one of expecting laws to act as the eyes, ears and voices of reason for parents on behalf of their children.
What's that you say? Parents don't have time to be with their children while in the library? Huh? If they don't, what makes you think the government sould be held responsible for this?
I'm not interested in straw issues. Rather, I want to see the constitutional ban on government censorship enforced with clenched teeth while parents stop whining and expecting government to do their jobs for them. Government censorship is a steep and slippery slope. I can't think of ANYTHING that poses more of a threat to our democracy than that and am happy to see a deputy AG nominee who understands that.
Glad to know there are still posters with common
JTBB wouldn't know facts if it bit her in the butt. Same posts over and over, bashing Bush with absolutely NO facts but when facts are presented back, JTBB absolutely goes bezerk and starts ranting more and more about Bush. Made all these accusations when Obama was running for president, bashing Bush and actually rambled on and on about HIM destroying the constitution? Well, Bush has signed things into law which are against the constitution BUT I think it's about time JTBB got off the Obama love fest wagon and realize her precious Obama is just about to sink this country..........he doesn't even BELIEVE in the constitution let alone our civil rights.
Hope your post shuts JTBB up for a while until the Bush rants start again....
That one just takes a little common sense...(sm)
and a little fact checking. You might want to try it sometime.
not negativity, just common sense sm
that whether the president is "hot" or not shouldn't even be an issue. He is in Washington to run the country (that is a joke) not to play beach model!
maybe common for your age group (my dear)
zoom, zoom, zoom
I think you have a misogynistic overtone. Look that up.
I think we have found common ground
I don't usually agree with you, but in this case I do think we have found a common ground. I am amazed at the homophobia displayed here. I find it frightening that people can be so prejudiced. By the way, this is a pretty impressive list. Just think what we would have missed out on without the genius and talent of these individuals.
Taking a course on common sense
nm
Why can't some people just use common sense?
Obama is going to try to "force" those who want healthcare to be unionized..... which is illegal, but you hide and watch........which will, of course, kill small businesses. Ron Paul does have it right..........
