Do you hear yourself? Fetus? Embryo....?
This was a living breathing infant no longer connected to the mother even by the umbilical cord. You "understand" why he took the position? The most horrific and inhumane "position" that allows a poor child to suffered alone in a dirty linen closet for 45 minutes until it dies?? I'm sorry...that is abhorrent on SO many levels. How can anyone "understand" something like that, or support someone who actually is willing to let infants die due to lack of care because someone might say it gives the infant rights?? The most innocent among us? And he says he cares about people? Please.
Wrong...when the fetus could live on his/her own outside (sm)
the mother's body and is aborted and either killed or left to lay there and die, it is most definitely murder.
Injury to fetus...........and abortion

I have to weigh in here as someone who aborted a fetus sm
in what you would all consider late term; I had an anencephalic fetus and aborted at 30 some weeks. Am I a murderer according to your logic? I did what was right for my family and myself. And I thank GOD that I had a courageous provider who would do this for me.
While a fetus remains a part of MY body, is sure
And it will never be yours, or anyone else's.
Do you religious freaks only care about the fetus and not of
the woman that got raped, the real VICTIM?
How about ASKING HER what she wants to do with this fetus of a rapist and let her decide. Last not least it is HER body and her FETUS (at least half of it, the second half is that of a rapist), who belongs in prison!
I'm sorry, but are you comparing an embryo, fetus to a turkey?!?!? And you think it is funny?!?!
I wonder if I'm the only one who finds your idea of a joke offensive. Just when I was ready to be offended by "blob of tissue" you chime in with your turkey joke. I'm stunned sometimes at the callousness of some people. I don't know why I would be stunned considering the world we live in, but I still am from time to time. Thank my Heavenly Father! I wouldn't want to be so cold.
Those "blobs of tissue" have heartbeats. Those "blobs of tissue" have such beauty and such potential. Those "blobs of tissue" are alive.
I think this post belongs under this one.....sm
as it may be relevant to others.
From Linda:
First of all, Jewish people should not be condenmed for taking their religious holidays off. Unlike a lot of us, their religion means the world to them. I would never vote for a person (on McCain's ticket) that cannot even string together an intelligent sentence, i.e. Palin. What a disaster. You do know, don't you, that even conservatives are calling for her to step down, because of her lack of intelligence. Working in the medical field since the 60s (worked for oncologists) I know myself how deadly melanoma is and McCain's was found in his lymph glands the last recurrence. I think anyone that has seen her interviews, be they Hannity (totally for McCain) or the others (not sure where they stand) would see just what a diaster this is. I am a 65 year old white southern female and have already voted for Obama. I have told my husband this should be a landslide mostly because of McCain showing such lack of judgement in getting a totally unqualified female. Have you seen http://tinyurl.com/3jsqhc - does that not scare you? Have you read the Alaska newspapers?? Have you seen the video about the witch doctor in Palin's church with laying on hands of Palin and doing away with witches? Does that not scare the crap out of you? Google Alaska newspapers and you can get all the above there. The US is in dire straits and I would not add to the mess by even thinking about McSame/Palin.
Leave her up there where she belongs.

No, I think it belongs on the pol board. It's in
context just as much as anything else is here. The subject was global warming. Auntie just told you how hot it's going to get. Are you the only one allowed to have an opinion here?
Keep it in the closet where it belongs? (sm)
You know, the same could be said about religion --- which is just another "choice." As in keep your sermons to yourself. Maybe I don't want my children exposed to fanatics who believe in a nonexistent being, but you guys just keep on preaching. The ironic thing about your post is that religion itself is a choice. It is a choice to believe. So, you think everyone else should abide by what you choose to believe -- as opposed to how they choose to live. Quite a double standard you have there.

The post belongs on this board because...
Many Republicans on this board, including one in particular who shall remain nameless, continually accuse Barack Obama and the democrats of being socialist and possibly communist for supporting social programs to help our fellow Americans in need. Oldtimer is responding to those ridiculous accusations by posing the question about Jesus and socialism.
Probably because SNL is where Sarah Palin belongs. n/m

She belongs behind some pulpit in St. Croix
good riddence
Carrying a hydrocephalic fetus doesn't put the mother at high risk. Please.. nm

Getting serious means putting blame where it belongs.
Bush Sr., Clinton and Bush Jr. All of them had a hand in bringing this country to its knees.
Of course its going to take a long time to get our country out of this mess. This is not instantaneous, and the messes go way back to before Bush Jr. even got in the office. So with that said, it is time to stop blaming past presidents and start looking to the future. Yeah, it would be nice if magic could be spun. But it can't. Going back to Obama's campaign slogan "hope". We have to hope he can pull us out or at least get us started back on the right track. Truth is, he's not off to a good start.
So, time to put down to kool-aid and get a cup of coffee and come back to reality here with the rest of us.
I think the flip flop prize still belongs to Joe Biden...
from "He is not ready to lead; the job does not lend itself to on-the-job experience" to "He is ready to lead." Talking about the #1 on his ticket. Think that one still takes the prize. :)
You're right. It IS Bush's fault. He belongs in jail,
.
Now, now, GT, that is precisely the kind of post that belongs on the Liberal Board!
Do you know where we can find one?
