That was eloquent and I am also PROUD !!! Gobama!
everyone else is sour grapes!
come on, don't keep stealing
everybody's lines. If you can't hang with the witty "gals" drop out.
It's not really stealing a job
When the union strikes, these people have walked out of their jobs. As I said, I do not agree with scabs, but I cannot really call it "stealing" a job. It is merely filling a vacancy--and they usually lose the job once the union and company come to an agreement.
Stealing taxes
Actually, I had the same thing happen. I know you're mad. So am I. But you absolutely must remember the core truth -- the reason you had a tax bill that was more than your fair share and more than you could come up with by April 15th in the FIRST place was because democrats are leaning on you to fund the vote-buying giveaways with YOUR labor, YOUR income which they believe to be theirs. You are supposed to thank democrats for what they LEAVE you with, not grumble that they enforce their sick idea of social justice and obligation on people who actually get up in the morning and go work. I did the math. I had some of their constituency who are sucking on the government teat live with me for a homeless few months. I will never do that again. We are rapidly approaching a point in this country where half the country is living free off the other half. This economy will collapse when more than half live off less than half. Meaning me. And you. Remember, that you will never qualify for any government benefits under democrats because you work. You will however, qualify for their giveaway program, just not as a givee. At least the Republican plan is to share the burden of common needs (roads, defense) and let people who work hard keep as much as possible. Don't get me wrong. I am no lover of that RINO capitulator our party is running. He's made good press and put forth his false front of courage and honor, but every time he has had a chance to take a stand since he got into politics, he has compromised with the socialists. Please don't forget -- Socialism has failed everywhere it's been tried and it always will. Nonconfiscatory capitalism works. Unfortunately, we don't have that in America anymore. But we do have socialism. All socialist economies eventually collapse to third world status unless they are coupled with a political system of tyrrany and fascism. Please don't vote for the communists.
STEALING is not winning!!!
Blogger responses to the rigging of Ohio's voting system:
The law growls a bit but comes up toothless for the common man most of the time--at all levels. Take the Supreme Court (please! as Henny Youngman would say). It was right down there in the gutter, snarling over the bone, which it wrested away in the 2000 election and handed over to George W. Bush. Democrat John Kerry did not attempt to even test this right-leaning court (with its Bush appointees) over the foul voting-day thievery in Ohio that cost him the election in 2004--his resolve no doubt already weakened by the vicious "Swift Boat" slander that had had been slathered over him during the preceding months. Consider, if you will, the eventual condition of our court system all across the country due to the appointment of federal judges at all levels. It's bad enough after 8 years of George Bush. Do we want another 4 or 8 years at the hands of McCain and/or Palin? Start by considering the decisions concerning just the environment--pollution, land-use, etc. They come up on a regular basis. We are fortunate to still have some long-time judges with integrity who date from earlier times. But this, too, could pass. Palin, in addition to being a Creationist, also doesn't believe in Global Warming. McCain, despite his inane campaign remarks, is right there in the hip pocket of big oil, opposes alternate energy sources (check his Senate record) and isn't really much concerned about the melting of the polar ice cap and glaciers everywhere. Not to mention the extinction of species (eventually our own?) and old-growth timber, the conversion of the Pacific ocean into a floating garbage dump that is a bird and fish killer. The country and the planet just can't stand the theft of another election by the Republicans.
You, like most of the country, believe stealing from

it's not stealing - it's legal!
They are not married so they qualify for the earned income credit on their taxes even though they pay nothing in. It is based on how many children you have and your income.
It's been there forever! My sister gets upwards of $6000 a year every year and has for as long as I can remember; of course, when the children hit 17 or 18, that is gone, but for now it is like an extra $500 or $600 a month in income if you spread it out.
That's why I cannot figure out why these people are so upset about Obama giving money to poor people - heck, it's been going on for as long as I can remember... it's nothing new that Obama just came up with and decided to do.
Well, then, don't shoot somebody for stealing your food. LOL

"Wealth distribution" LOL. Its really STEALING

Guess most of the country is cool with stealing

Uhh, no! Stealing from wealthy to give to people

Cindy isn't interested in helping the victims down there. She's just mad they are stealing
her thunder. Hopefully, she will be relegated to the pathetic pawn that she is and real news of real importance will come back to the world. Every time she speaks, she puts our troops in danger. The troops even said so, but she is too far gone to listen to the troops. They are all brainwashed.
Stealing and reselling...and only got a slap on the wrist...sounds about right...nm
She adopted a child while stealing drugs for her addiction.
If she was poor the state would have seized her kids. It's not the rich and special treatment that is so upsetting. It's the fact he is the one making these rules while his wife is an addict.
This guy is AWESOME!
And from what I've read about him, it would be really hard to *Swiftboat* this guy (not that they'd let facts get in the way of their smear campaigns). If the election were held today, he'd be my choice, as well.
Awesome. Maybe she can use this against the

I don't have time to really reply to all points here (I'm working again now... just took a few minutes off to watch the press conference).
I didn't make the original post about the stock market, although I did give a shout out.
I know there are casualties in every administration. Everyone has a different story to tell, none of which may have any impact by the government.
Thanks for your extensive response and I hope to be able to respond better later.
Awesome....(sm)
Yet another rambling session and yet....something is missing. Oh, that's right. What's missing is the fact that you can't back up the claim that was made. The question was "what regulations." Your answer thus far is seemingly...the ones that he might put in place...the onces that are in a supposed hidden agenda....the ones that only I can see....
In other words....the claim that small businesses are laying off people as a direct result of Obama legislation is nothing but BS spouted out by the likes of Limbaugh, Hannity and O'Reilly and regurgitated by the likes of you. Thank you for proving my point. You know, the thing that absolutely cracks me up about this board is that when people like you are asked a direct question, 9 times out of 10 you can't provide a valid answer. Why is that...I wonder...LOL.
Strike 3...
I think he's awesome...(sm)
I think he is a litte awkward on TV, but I think it's absolutely hilarious. However, he is absolutely dead on with the issues.
Awesome!...(sm)
He doesn't have to go back on Fox. All the other stations will run that clip until its dead.....LOL. BRAVO MR VENTURA!
Awesome post, Sam.

I have an awesome deal right now too (sm)
My husband is a firefighter so we have insurance through the city (BC/BS). That's a relief all by itself! However, the city has gone one step further for its employees. They provide FOR FREE a clinic where you can go for the small stuff (cuts, colds, UTIs, etc). They also provide city employees with FREE medicine so long as they carry it. It has to be generic, but it's such a huge help. What this service provides us: For me: lipid-lowering agent, happy pills, sleeping pills, and PPI. For my husband: Blood pressure medication and PPI.
They did this because it is actually cheaper for them in the long run to provide this service to their employees with health maintenance drugs, thereby reducing the added cost to the insurance from people not being able to afford this medication and ending up in the hospital which in the long run increases the cost of insurance. I just hope they can continue to do this.
Awesome post!!! (sm)
He nailed that one!!!
Awesome post!
Too bad not enough will be motivated by it.
Obama is doing an awesome job!!!!
It's nice to have a president who can go overseas and not come back with the imprint of an Adidas sole in his forehead...
Yes, his speech was awesome, wasn't it?
You ROCK! That is an awesome summary! :-)

my doc is so awesome -- sees me for free
i am so blessed. knows i don't have insurance, doesn't bill me. says if i pay for Rx's and lab work, he won't charge me. and, unbelievably, spends at least 60 to 90 minutes with me talking -- just amazing. small office, just doc, secretary and nurse. says he's not in it to be a millionaire. (put himself thru med school, 1 of 12 kids in his family.) i even know the names of his cats and all of his hobbies. he's in his mid 50s and i hope he never retires...

Kaydie, your post is awesome and 100% the way that I feel s/m
about the whole thing as well. We are all entitled to our opinions, but let's remember that behind these screen names sits a real person with people who love them. Every one of us has value and something to add to this world. EVEN McCain and Palin are valuable citizens and have something to contribute, even if not from the White House. Obama, although I personally do not agree with his policies in general, will probably be good for our country in many ways. I am giving him a chance in my heart because I know that we all have to stick together. I wish him well and hope that we are a better country because of him, eventually...
Have a good day, MTs!!

Awesome, thanks. Now I have a list of companies to patronize.
Actually, the list was more a list of individuals who made contributions towards passing prop 8. Seems silly to boycott an entire organization because one guy or gal who happens to be employed there contributed to passing prop 8. Just goes to show you that gay right's activitists lack a certain amount of intelligence.
Awesome, thanks for posting, we fought and won the Revolution......sm
against all odds, a bunch of farmers with old muskets and pitchforks in Condord and Lexington, we were rabble, but we beat the British Empire, the greatest empire of its time, not once but twice to maintain our freedom. If we can get that mindset back, then yes we can, we can free ourselved from the tyrany of elitism, suppression of the middle class, and overhaul our social and banking systems. We fought to create and maintain this country, we now have to fight to save it from becoming a sad third-world country, a wasteland. We went from being a "Beacon of Hope" to a laughingstock among nations.
Awesome. Taft, Harding, Coolidge, Hoover
Eisenhower, Nixon and Ford all bigtime republican socialists! Who knew?
Not about the election.
As I have stated before, I am pro-life, but am just appalled at the things that extremists do--on both sides of this issue. I went to my OB/GYN the other day for a prenatal exam and my 2-year-old son found a business card with pictures of bloody pieces of fetuses on it that said that anyone who has an abortion will go to...well, you get the picture. While I am not entirely sure that this is not true, I am disgusted that someone would leave such a thing lying around where small children can find it. Luckily, my son just turned two and really did not realize what it was he was seeing, but just think if an older child had found such a thing. Sometimes I think that people get in their own ways when trying to make their points. I am sure that I am guilty of this, as are many others on this board. I actually just wanted to vent a little. Hope everyone is having a good afternoon!
No way did JFK's dad buy the election
I live in the same town as the Kennedys and they are notorious for not paying for things.
Election Day
A large group of my neighbors will be walking down the street together at 7:00 a.m. Tuesday morning to cast our votes for Barack Obama. It will probably end up being like a little block party in celebration of Obama.
No matter who wins this election, it will be a thrilling race and a shocking result!
LOL! Maybe next election!

If you mean McCain and Palin and "best man and best woman", I don't think so. Not unless you are super rich or, if middle class, you would care to get stomped on again, like we have been for the last eight years?!
Another example....if the election had gone the other way....
would you just have dropped all your concerns about McCain and started supporting him on this board? Of course you wouldn't. Don't act like you would. Geez. LOL.

When they come up for re-election
we will be provided the usual substandard party-approved (both parties) candidates to choose from - if it is an actual contested election. How often does a rogue candidate even get past the primaries in this country? And how effective could this hypothetical nonpartisan candidate be if elected, when the other kids in the House and Senate won't let him play?
Most candidates don't stand much chance against any incumbent. Seems that we vote based on 'name recognition' and don't much care in what context we recognize the name. Has to be the explanation for how some of these guys (and gals) stay in office term after term despite the fact that we despise them. Nobody can unseat them without party approval. And if you spend enough advertising bucks in the several weeks before election we'd vote for Genghis Khan.
Same theory as they use in product advertising. Say the name and slogan enough times on TV and when we get to the stores we'll recognize it on the shelf and figure it must be okay. See? All the hard decision-making has been done for us!
Obama was anointed by the democrats; McCain was anointed by the republicans, and I did not see a whole lot of difference between them. Both promised to take us in the same direction at slightly different speeds. So I voted for the lesser of two evils (lot of good it did me). And when you do that, it's easy to forget you still voted for evil.
Sad to say, we seem to get the candidates and products we deserve. We vote for whoever the party runs, buy the products that spend most on advertising, and that's pretty much that.
I am at a complete loss as to how to change any of this because it all seems to be one big interconnected system. Throwing the bums out is a great idea, but replace them with what? More party clones? I don't think a true populist candidate stands much chance against the two party machines we have.
the election is
