to do with it and most intelligent people understand this. If you enjoy an artist's music or books, you will listen and read; however, when that artist admits to a deviant behavior, you no longer respect them as a person, regardless of their talent. It is hard for the younger generation to separate the two. You can't just "adore" Adam because you love his singing and "despise" Adam for the deviant choices he has made. Many parents do not wish for their children to respect and adore a person who leads such a deviant lifestyle. I don't watch Ellen, I don't listen to Elton John simply because of their deviant life choices. If they had kept their deviant, immoral lifestyle quiet, it would be different as we all sin and have things to hide. But, if you're a Christian, you are not proud of your sins and shout them from the rooftops for all to hear. They are between you and God and should stay that way. People who are proud of their sins are not deserving of respect and adoration. We do not want our children to respect or adore them regardless of the talent they possess. It is that simple.
