The Bush bashing gets old very very fast. As I heard one time "The guy is one fry short of a happy meal". These people who come out and say he's an imbecele - is that what they would say about special needs kids too. Are they that cruel towards people. The cruelty that people have shown to him gets a little old, well actually very old. So he didn't make some very good decisions in the white house. Neither did other presidents in the past. Time went on, a new president was elected and the country healed. Like the poster said Bush is a human being with people who love him, beautiful daughters who look up to him and a loving wife who stands by his side. He has a very loving family members and I believe he truly does care about the country. One thing people always forget is that Bush does not "run" the country. He doesn't make decisions. There are meetings after meetings after meetings. George Bush did not plan this war all by himself without any input. He may have signed paperwork but he was told what to do. This is not like in the movies where you see the president leading a group and he makes the decision to do this or that. In real life he IS told to do what he does and sometimes he doesn't have a choice. I always refer to them as "big money" who are people like Brzezinski and the Bilderberger group. Those are the people who are running things. People will say Bush is an imbecele, but then they turn around and say he masterminded the whole war thing himself. Now that takes a lot of strategic planning which I'm sure if Bush is the imbecele that every says he is, there is no way he would have been able to do that. I believe the plans are made, he is told to sign them and then told to go in front of the camera and given a speech that he will give. I think if he looks less than intelligent it would get everyone focused on him and off the government. So like Lee Harvey Oswald you have George W. Bush. Anyway...like my DH always tells me you can't tell me he's such an imbecele and then did this whole war thing. I say enough with the Bush bashing. So he wasn't the best of presidents. He has the lowest approval rating in a long time, but congress also has one of the lowest approval ratings in a long time too (and we have a democratic congress).
