What is the most appalling to me is...
the sneering, condescending attitude, like anyone not liberal is their enemy. And I do mean enemy. And yes, that is a SAD existence. And they must be very insecure because they cannot tolerate an opposing view. They who want civil liberties for everyone want to ban anyone with an opposing idea from this forum. Sounds a whole lot like a dictatorship to me. And they wonder why we are concerned when they are in power....SIGH.

It is just appalling to me that people think it is acceptable...
to allow a living, breathing infant to die because there is a remote, and I do mean remote, chance that the language might be used to somehow overturn Roe vs. Wade. For that matter, that it would be acceptable under ANY circumstances. Horrendous.

This is one of the most disappointing yet of all the posts I have read on this board. So much debate over a stupid pin. Maybe he just doesn't want to lower himself to be like the other the cookie-cutter officials who wear a "symbol" in order to appease the multitudes of small-minded people in this country that actually think that is an indication of someone's "patriotism". As a whole, people in this country are clueless as to what the rest of world is about, they are greedy, self-absorbed, a bunch of sheep and spoiled as the day is long, and the founders of our constitution are rolling in their graves over how we have butchered our "freedoms" that they fought so hard to uphold!! Wake up, America!!!

MSNBC (I know you all love it) is still reporting quite fervently on what is going on there. The report about the axes is very disturbing. I think no one really knows how many people have really been executed -- not to mention the fact that the Iranian soccer team members that showed their support the other week have now been banned from the team for life. I guess Fox is way too busy with their Obama hate-fest to bother with something as insignificant as world news.

A couple weeks back there was a discussion about abortion. I am athiest and wanted to give a different point of view. For the benefit of showing diversity I chose the name *the big bad athiest.* Of course, that turned into a back and forth about religion. In the meantime another poster said (not quoting, just trying to get the point across) that I was trying to spread my lack of religion (I think was the point) by posting my name as *the big bad athiest,* so I changed it to *Just the Big Bad.* I thought it was funny, especially as there is now a poster who goes by the name *christian,* who has not to my knowledge, by the way, been accused of spreading christianity.

I didn't ask for pity...I asked for hospitals that paid their bills on time, which they didn't and maybe you should reread my posting, I don't have a $300,000 house. My house is nowhere near that amount of money. I said the woman I worked for after my surgery who did not pay any of her subs was building a $300,000 house while not paying HER subs. And you cannot foresee everything that will happen to you in your future...4 layoffs in 15 years, people who don't pay you, emergency surgery because you were working so hard to get the hospital's work done that didn't pay that you didn't notice symptoms until it was too late, work that dries up, lost accounts. For 25 years I never missed a mortgage payment or a bill payment. I am not a deadbeat. If I had never gotten into this profession I'm sure my life would not have ended up like this. Before you judge other people make sure you read correctly what they post.
I find it difficult to tolerate stupidity.

Most likely, as McCain said about Obama, he is a "good man, a family man." I think he has run a campaign that could be described as win at any cost, no matter what lie or deceit has to be used. The black fellow who stood up and said, "please sir, I'm begging you" right before the little old lady, is anyone so dumb that they didn't recognize that man was planted? Many, many people can't see past the end of their nose.
I'm voting for LOU DOBBS for president. Seems he's about the only one these days who tells it like it is and fries both candidates.

I've been poor, woe is me, nobody knows my plight. Well, poster may find this hard to believe but there are others who were also poor while young, went through horrific things in their life, and still don't use that as an excuse to whine their entire life and live in the past until their dying day.

By your logic, Palestinians are in charge (yeah, right). That's the only way they could possibly be occupiers. When was the last time they blockaded Israel's food, medicine, fuel and money? Point to the place on the map where they have "expanded" their settlements, especially in light of the fact that the majority of them live in refugee camps. Israelis have not right to return? Return from which diaspora? They are there, or not, by choice, not by force. There is a difference. Palestinians try to tear down the wall, not construct it.
Since when do they have the power to imposed ANYTHING on the Israelis, let alone a police state. This current so-called retaliation is in response to the expiration of a cease fire, not renewed by Hamas because Israel did not live up to its own bargain and refused to lift the blockade. Palestinians invaded what part of Israel? When? Remember, they are the ones living on the ever-shrinking, splintering geography. Israelis think nothing of plundering even the most basic of resources, and scarce at that....water. Just another routine starvation tactic as they swim in their pools. Again, consult the disproportionate fatality statistics on fatalities and injuries. No matter how hard you protest, you cannot turn your lies into truth.

Well, you certainly should not feel ignorant. The entire problem is lack of knowledge about what has really caused this. We do want to blame the corrupt business practices, but we should at least understand where it all comes from.....
I have posted a complete explanation of the Federal Reserve below and I hope you take the time to watch it. It is 42 minutes long but this is why so many feel they don't understand the problem. This is in a nutshell the root of the problem and why we need to get away from paper money.
I'll post the video site again. This should be taught in all classrooms in high school and again in college and they all should be made watch this to better understand.... taking the time to watch means better understanding and should mean outrage that we have gotten to this point and allowed our government to screw us over.......for decades and decades

First of all, not one of Obama supporters has threatened to riot for not voting for him. Secondly, Democrats have way too much class to act like mindless, bloodthirsty fools -- I believe you missed all the incidences of McCain supporters being worked up into the hate-mongering mobs that became so common at their rallies. I personally have been saying for weeks that I was afraid of the backlash from the crazy fanatics blindly following McCain, and that I fully expected there to be some riots on that side of the fence. Lastly, I do not personally know one Democrat (and I know a lot) who have defected to the other side, whereas, there have been many, many longtime, famous, staunch pubs who want to distance themselves from the cartoon characters that McCain and Palin have become. I mean, you guys are the ones that just love, love, love your guns!! You guys want to talk about ACORN, so stupid. Have you not heard about McCain's bullies at the voting centers trying to intimidate people into not voting for Obama? And let's not forget those Robo calls.
