Right, God help us

I tend to lean more toward Democrats because of their history of being more the party of the working class people (of which I have always been a member).  I also hold with the Republicans on such things as abortion and same sex marriage.  With that being said, I personally do not feel that government has any place in those issues that belong to God and ONLY to God.  If one is a believer, then His Word says what is right and what is wrong but He gave each of us free will to make choices for ourselves.  If one is not a believer then I guess it is on their conscience to decide right from wrong for themselves.  There is plenty more the government needs to be involved in but they need to stay out of private lives of citizens period.  They cannot legislate morality and especially when the majority of politicians aren't moral themselves.
