OMG - dissing the dress. How superficial is THAT?

Thank you, Superficial Sally!
So you diagnosed McCain with congestive heart failure.
Funny. I was thinking Obama looked like he had manorexia. Or AIDS.
I am not so superficial that I give a rat's
butt about what anybody wears!! But if one is going to portray oneself as a God-fearing, patriot who is so free and easy about slapping labels like pro-American or anti-American, I think one should at least pretend to be a regular Joe Six-Pack. Hopefully, there there are enough intelligent people out there that are as outraged as I am about these comments of hers. I AM a Real American and I am from a very small town!!
The big O is a superficial cheeseball! If this truly was a ltr from
a loving father to his daughter thanking for blah, blah, blah then why make it public? I would think this would a special moment shared between father and daughters.
Everything Obama does and says is unbelievably and carefully scripted and calculated!
I'm sure she's looking for her dress.sm
A kid after her own heart. But he says *choke* that he would have recorded the teacher even if he said Bush was an excellent president and that he was doing a great job. Yeah? Whattteverrr!
I liked the dress but
was watching in HD and her shoes and gloves were not matching at all. Did not care for the ribbon the dress.
I liked that dress. I especially liked...
...how her daughters' dresses complimented it (or maybe the other way around?), with one of them wearing a red dress and the other wearing a black one. It seemed that she was somehow "encompassing" her daughters with that color choice. (I'm not explaining this coherently; I apologize. I just can't find the right words.)

OMG - dissing the clothing. How superficial.

it is not superficial to be interested in what they wore
and it was a question asked by the OP, so are we not allowed to answer in fear of being called superficial if we don't like it, as i didn't?
I love fashion. People make a living off of that too you know, I wouldn't call it superficial.
unless we were talking about the MONEY it cost... then you have a valid point
What did you think about Michelle Obama's dress?
Just wondering
I don't dress in tshirts and worn out jeans, but...
I dress very nice and am appropriately dressed at all occasions, and I don't spend $150,000 a month, a year, and maybe even a lifetime. It is not necessary and it is wasteful! I think she can look the part without spending $150,000 and that is the bottom line - those clothes going to charity? It would have been better to take the $150,000 and given that to charity!
You can put lipstick & a clean dress on trailer-trash,
;p
You are just mean period.
You obviously have anger issues. The poster was being respectful while asking questions and you ripped them to shreds. You are a very hateful person. You talk about not judging other people's views and how they live their life, and you judge someone when they just ask you questions. You are very two faced. No wonder this board is not very active. The two or three posters who I see posting here are very mean spirited.
Period.
rasberries
My solution is to get out, period, now.
and I resent having to come up with a solution to a problem that I did not create, an idea that I found ridiculous, that I opposed, that I petitioned, attended rallies with those blood-thirsty Quakers against, and wrote letters to editors, senators, congressmen about. There is nothing to be gained in Iraq.
here we go again. last time period.
(Chris) Matthews is the one with a "thrill up his leg!"
Yes, I AM real. I don't get that syndrome around members of the opposite sex, or around any politician, for that matter.
You should have stopped at Not Tolerant. Period.

Limited government period. nm

It is just a sampling of a 3 year period. TI
Actually, no. There was much violence when we left Gaza.
Barack is not a socialist NOT NOT PERIOD sm
get ovah your Fox faux news propaganda. Fair tax cuts do not equal socialism. That's really insane. Any day now, the McCain Bush camp is going to say Barack is a commie. Just wait.
Obama groupies don't think period, let alone think for themselves!

Coretta King Rejected War (period).
We must remember it was Coretta's funeral, so sentiments were made in HER honor, NOT SUGAR COATED FOR THE BUSHES.

Coretta King Rejected War |
Editorial |
|
President Bush may have tried to claim a little bit of the legacy of Coretta Scott King with a warm and generous reference to her at the opening of his State of the Union address this week, but it should be remembered that King was a foe of this president and a frequent critic of his abuses of power.
On the eve of the invasion of Iraq in 2003, King celebrated the anniversary of the birth of her late husband, the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., by recalling that the slain civil rights leader had been outspoken in his opposition to unnecessary and unwise wars.
We commemorate Martin Luther King Jr. as a great champion of peace who warned us that war was a poor chisel for carving out a peaceful tomorrow. We must pursue peaceful ends through peaceful means. Martin said, 'True peace is not just the absence of tension, it is the presence of justice,' Coretta King told a crowd that had gathered at Atlanta's Ebenezer Baptist Church. She continued, May his challenge and his example guide and inspire us to seek peaceful alternatives to a war with Iraq and military conflict in the Middle East.
Coretta King continued to speak out against the Bush administration's policy of pre-emptive war-making, and she always make it clear that she disagreed passionately with this president.
Coretta Scott King ponders a reporter's question in front of a painting of her late husband, civil-rights leader Martin Luther King, Jr., in this Jan. 14, 2003 file photo from Atlanta.
When Bush showed up to lay a wreath at the Rev. King's grave in January 2004, Coretta King was polite but pointed in her remarks. Before greeting Bush, she said at another event at Ebenezer Baptist that she sided with those who opposed the war rather than supported it, and she lamented the fact that those people are not in charge of making the policies of their nations. If they were, she added, I think we would have more peace and more justice.
There will be many celebrations of Coretta Scott King's brave and inspiring life, as well as her rich legacy of activism.
But none will be so appropriate as those that recall her absolute opposition to this president's illegal and immoral war-making.

It aint gonna happen - it's over for her - period!!!
Do you really want to live under a socialist dictator. If so I think you are in the wrong country. I think there is plenty of room in Cuba or other socialists/communist countries.
Let it rest. She is not going to be president and she is not going to be VP - Even Palosi (sp?) said it's not a good idea. I trust her judgment more than Hillary's and the other feminists pushing for her. Besides...that is just what Obama needs...someone with their hand on the assassination button only too happy to push the button so that she can finally sleeze herself into the seat.
Even the top democrats who kept pushing and pushing for her to be the nominee last night started saying what in the world is going on? Why isn't she conceding? Why isn't she congratulating Barack? Why is she being announced by Terry McAulife as the next president when all votes have been counted and she lost and they know it? Have they totally lost their mind?????
She has no decent characterists about her. Everything is "me, me, me". Not once whenever Barack won a state did she congratulate him, yet everytime she won a state he congratulated her. Now she's giving a speech last night, does not mention the enormous victory this country has finally having a person of color (even though he's half white) win the nomination. Come on - that is a huge victory! And lastly she says "Thank you South Dakota, you had the last word" when Montana's voting booths had not even closed. Oh, which just so happened to be in Barack's favor (oh lets just forget them, their votes don't count because they didn't vote for me). She's a disgrace to the human race! Moreover she's a disgrace to all women!
I don't think Cindy McCain thinks period.
Not at all impressed with her.
Clinton was a worse embarrassment. Period.
There is no reason to resort to this measures - period
But because the current administration is not listening to the top economist, their answer is print money we don't have anything to back it up with. Your lack of education in economics really shows here. It does not matter how much debt someone inherits or makes themselves. You don't print money you have nothing to back it up with. You DO NOT add more debt by adding more trillions then turning around and blaming it on the previous administration. He needs to listen to the economists. "Please stop blaming the fact that we have to resort to these measures on the current administration" Resort to these measures???? Have IQ's dropped that sharply in this short amount of time. He has just increased our deficit in the trillions. This is nothing the previous administration did. This is something that the current administration did, and no fault of the previous administrations. They did this by themselves without the input of anyone with any sense. He didn't have to do this to our country and our children and granchildrens future but he did. So, yes, we are blaming the current administration. This was not the solution to get us out of debt - spend more money. Especially since the "more money" does nothing to stimulate the economy and create jobs. It has gone overseas to other banks and to the most wealthiest in this country. Once again we have another administration who cares nothing (by their own actions) about the American people and getting our economy back on track.
Did anyone count Obama's blinks or are democrats the only superficial ones counting blinks? nm

Right, and no rich people means no jobs, period.
nm
Fox lies PERIOD, the rest are just intelligent, can't you tell the difference? nm
nm
Agreed. Teach no bullying or violence, period.
"Lifestyle acceptance" doesn't have to come into it at all. I don't have to accept anyone's lifestyle in order to learn that bullying and violence are not acceptable ways of expressing my disagreement with them.
You see, there's a conflation between the principle of "nonviolence" and "acceptance of lifestyles" going on here, and it's very, very calculated and it's very, very deliberate.
In fact, "acceptance" is really an inadequate basis for nonviolence - if you stop for a moment to think about it - because I am obliged to be nonviolent toward people whose lifestyles not even you would suggest that that I (or my children) should EVER "accept".
Yes, by all means, lets condemn the religious right or for that matter religion period but ...
let's continue murdering babies by the millions. Prophecy is being fulfilled.
Bush lied and our brave patriotic soldiers died..PERIOD
Of course Bush lied about WMD and the threat of Iraq..He needed a reason to invade Iraq..If you would do some research you would find many papers that document meetings between Cheney, Wolfowitz, Perle and others who devised a way to take over the Middle East in the 1990's..all they needed was a way to present it to the American people, as we would not allow our children to die for no reason. With 9/11, they got the reason and tried to tie up 9/11 with Iraq..I, frankly, think they also had a hand in 9/11..For any who poo poo this..I ask you to do some surfing on the Northwoods Operation..same kind of thing, only in the 1960's..Let a few CIA Hispanic/Cuban operatives invade a few curise ships on Floridas coast, kill a few Americans and we would definitely agree to invading Cuba and killing Casto..Our govt did not agree to it, however, 9/11 seems to me like an updated plan..there are many who also wonder was this an inside job..
Amen to that!!. Ann Coulter is an embarrassment to ALL women, period. She is a race-baiting
hateful, tragically misinformed, stunningly inferior shell of a human being who has been paid by the media to vomit forth inflammatory nonsensical words to the mainstream U.S. who quite frankly, wish she would stick her head up her posterior, exhale and blow herself up.
Just teach "no bullying" PERIOD and leave the lifestyle crap out of it.
I'm sorry, but you're very naive about what these children are actually being taught - i.e., that one family is "just like another" (there's a cute little song they sing about this), etc.
You want to teach kids not to be physically violent toward any other kids - fine. You go beyond that and start preaching the gospel of lifestyle equivalency and you're wandering off into the parents' domain.
Oh, yeah - I almost forgot. Get back to T E A C H I N G!!
When McBush is talking, he isn't talking to you unless you are wealthy or CEO
who provides campaign funds. Do you know why lobbyists are making the headlines? Because they are bribing the politicians of both parties - lobbyists work for private interests (AIPAC) along with the pharmaceutical company ($280.00 for a bottle of pills? Only in America, folks), oil industry (record profits at your expense) credit card companies and unethical banking procedures (Funny isn't it how Visa wrote the reformed BK bill, making virtually everyone end up in ch 13 (garnishing income, including SS) after raising credit limits and offering transfer balances at 0 percent to everyone with a last name and a roof over their head? Along with mtgs that were bound to turn into bad loans when house prices dropped which they always do after a bubble. God, I could go on and on here but I get tired. The nation is in such trouble. Serious serious trouble. There is a huge loan to an unfriendly country (did you watch the Olympics? did you ever see Bush look more uncomfortable other than during the Stephen Colbert roast during the national press conference. lol.
Well I want you to know what fascism. And I want you to know that those treasury notes are backed up by the taxpayers (you) and real estate including roads and govt buildings and parks. Have you noticed why Save-Mart Center is owned by savemart and not a community business or the community itself? There is somethign happening slowly and surely and it is NOT going to benefit middle class america one iota. You must know that as a poor person, you have no power, no voice. Elections are rigged and the politicans cease to care whether you like them or not - oh wait, that has already happened.
THINK ABOUT THIS!!!! Your 401Ks and investments/assets are what at are stake!
Fascist governments nationalized key industries and made massive state investments. They also introduced price controls, wage controls and other types of Soviet-style economic planning measures.[12] Property rights and private initiative were contingent upon service to the state.[13].[14] Fascists promoted their ideology as a "third way" between capitalism and Marxian socialism.[15] Fascists in Germany and Italy claimed that they opposed reactionaries, and that they were actually revolutionary political movements that fused with conservative social values.
Talking to them is talking to a brick wall.

I am, not talking about Clinton, I am talking
about the torture of prisoners, crimes against the Geneva conventions.
It seems that you did not read the last sentence in my former post.
Are you saying that crimes from the near past should all be forgotten?
Not really, you'd have to know what they were talking about
which I didn't know about the incident of the soldier accidentally killing other soldiers.
Thanks though.
Wow! what are you talking about???nm
x
What are you talking about?
.
I was talking about myself when I said that.
You might want to re-read my post.
What are you talking about?
I am sure I don't know. I know your game though.
Not what I was talking about
Wasn't referring to WMD, as stated in my post.
Saddam had gotten rid of the WMDs, said his son-in-law, quite a few years earlier. If your theory of invading a country that no longer is a threat, then would you also advise invading Germany since they used to have a Nazi regime?
If you are talking to me...
which question did I not answer?
who are you talking to?
I don't understand the anonymous post... there are plenty I think it could be addressed to, why did you not point out what you mean? PS you are just stirring the pot more right?
Exactly what I am talking about. Think for yourself.
xx
Talking about yourself again, huh?
nm
what are you talking about?
straight out of left field... you random people!
Yes the baby has Down's syndrome...
He is so adorable did you see him when she held him on stage?
Babies are so amazing!
Okay, what are you talking about?
I just mean in terms of the baby being passed around. That's what people do with babies. They share the love.
Doncha have any babies in your family?
What are you talking about??
And you still have nothing positive to say about Obama.
All I'm asking for is something positive and you can't even do that.
