Embarrassing and Pathetic
This is only the second time that I have posted, and it is only out of dismay that I do so now. I am absolutely dumbfounded, shocked, amazed, and disgusted by the utter and complete
cluelessness, simplemindedness, closet racism, backwardness, and close-mindedness displayed in numerous messages on this board over the past few days. It is people like you who are truly the scary ones!! It is truly sad that at a time of crisis like this that we cannot come together. After eight years of Republicans having their way and making blunder after blunder, which has lead to this, why can't our new president be given the support, the respect, and the chance to move the country out of this mess?
It is amazing to me that as long as we were being lead by a president of utter incompetence, out of touch and completely wrong, that you were perfectly content. You were perfectly
content with our economy sinking, content with innocent men and women losing their lives fighting a war that should never have been fought, content with our educational system languishing, with millions of your fellow citizens losing their homes and losing their jobs, and content with the country being the joke of the world and the target of intense loathing and hatred.
Now that we have a president who actually has the intelligence to make informed decisions and is surrounding himself with people of equal intelligence, a person who is inclusive and
realizes that all of us need to succeed so that our country can succeed, a man who wants to restore our standing in the world, who cares about our children in the inner cities as well as our children in rural America, who understands that diplomacy matters much more than "tough" cowboy bluster, who embodies those "family values" that those very superior
conservative folks so love to talk about, a person who understands that a good education for ALL of our children makes our country better and more secure, a person who understands that our environment matters to our national security, NOW you have the nerve to be frightened. What
utter drivel!!
Some have had the nerve and the gall to compare him to Hitler. What ridiculous nonsense!! He is a positive, inspiring person who has allowed millions of children to dream and hope and imagine their future in a way that they did not before. Hitler he is not, and those statements are truly the dumbest, most asinine statements that I have ever read on this board. What stupidity and hate you are spewing!! He is black, big deal!! Get over it.
He is intelligent, compassionate, has great ideas, and is open to hearing others' viewpoints. He loves our country just as you say you do.
You should at least have the nerve to speak your truth, which is that you are afraid because he is black. In case you didn't know, there are millions of black people who are intelligent and bright, creative, hardworking, law abiding, family oriented, well spoken and articulate, and they too love our country just like you and just like our president.
I do wholeheartedly agree that God will protect us,. He will continue to protect our country from people outside our borders who wish to do us harm, as well as protect us from those within who let ignorance, hate, and bigotry cloud common sense and good judgment.
