Most Jews believe that the soul enters the body when the first breath is taken, as when G-d breathed life into Adam. So, for the most part (can speak for all Jews) we do not believe abortion is murder.

I am very active in my synagogue and would be considered a very devout Jew by my Rabbi :-)
