Not really...

In Reply to: So It's the Democrats' Fault? - Silly Excuses
Just a stab back at the person who was criticizing me for being conservative. It really is the fault of the system that LOVES its social problems and, you must admit, Democrats favor them more than Republicans. Really, if those who are poor were made to be uncomfortable, perhaps they would work harder to not be poor. Now, I don't want anyone to go without food or shelter, but I am certainly not against the whole government cheese and canned meat mentality. It irritates me to no end to be budget shopping on my dime and watch somebody buy T-bone steak and lobster with an EBT card. When I went to rent out my house, I had several people that wanted me to take EXACTLY what section 8 would provide them to rent a house. Heaven forbid they chip in ANY money themselves. One lady told me how selfish I am that I wanted to rent it out for $400/month less than my payment instead of giving it to her for $400/month less than that. It is not my responsibility to house you and your children and your-get this-horses. What is someone on welfare doing with horses anyway? You can't pay your rent, but you can pay $19/bale (small square) for hay in Washington state. There is something wrong with the system. It is more comfortable to remain on welfare than to struggle to make your own way. This is a big problem. Now--I will quit ranting.
