There are a few people on here that do nothing but bash. Very unhappy people. I said it before and I'l lsay it again... the election is OVER. Let it alone. Discuss the issues WITHOUT BASHING. You believe the consumate liar and his lies who sat for 20 years under the teachings of a black racist preacher filled with hatred for the U.S., whose association with Bill Ayers is recent and documented down to the fact that Ayers himself wrote Obama's best-selling book (best-selling in the eyes of far left liberals that is), who is a documented member of the socialist party, whose friends and close allies are extremists who not only bomb innocent people and are unrepenetent but who intend to eliminate (kill) 25 million Americans who they cannot "re-educate" in communist ideaology (gosh dog it, those dreadful capitalists), who refuses to hand over a certified copy of his birth certificate and educational records (my goodness, don't you have to provide your birth certificate to any number of entities who want to know if you are legal, i.e., social security, DMVs, etc., and your educational records would show if you had received aid as a foreigner and in 1963 would have shown you were a negro instead of an African-American which Obama's falsified record shows, please speck up on history), and who thinks Joe the Plumber is so stupid not to realize that if he wants to achieve the American dream, he is going to achieve it only if he lets Obama take what he makes to give to those WHO WILL NOT WORK. I'd like to see you, liberals, give a share of your 7.5 cpl to those who don't work as hard as you, but then with Obama, that's what you will have to do. Don't be fooled by his rhetoric that only those making over $250,00 will be taxed. We will all be taxed, and there will be no incentive to work for any of us because we will all have to give up a piece of our pie so those who do not work can have a piece of our pie.

If anyone here calls themself a Christian and can vote for Osambo, I daresay you are a liar and cheat just as he. One cannot be a Christian and vote for a party and a political candidate who is in total rebellion to God's Word. That is a fact, and if you think any differently, then you, too, like the Obamanation, call God a liar. May He have mercy upon your soul. The whole anti-Republican Republican ruse might have succeeded, were it not for the fact that McCain's rhetoric was at odds not merely with his own voting record - 90 percent with Bush - and his own Bush-on-steroids agenda.
Even as he was pledging to "change the way government does almost everything," the senator from Arizona announced his commitment to much, much more of the same.
He pledged to maintain endless occupations of distant lands that empty the U.S. Treasury of precious resources that might pay for infrastructue renewal, housing and job creations initiatives for hurting Americans.
He outlined trade and tax policies that would extend, rather than alter a failed economic status quo.
He reintroduced flawed proposals for health care, education and entitlement reforms that Americans have wisely rejected.
And he threatened to achieve "energy independence" by declaring:
"We will drill..."
"We'll drill..."
"More drilling..."
McCain's rhetoric was that of a liberated man declaring his independence from his party's failed president and corrupt Congresses.
But his platform was that of Republican candidate who, for all of his talk of reform, offers the crudest continuity to a country that is crying out for change.

Not all Jews believe like this poster. I was reading recently about a conference in Washington by conservative Jews, Ben Stein being among them, and a lot of others, including many Rabbis, who are distressed at the pro-abortion stance of some Jews, including the partial birth abortion stance. Not all Jews believe the same, just as not all Christians do. According to the Mishnah (Sanhedrin 4:5): Whoever destroys one life is as if he destroyed a whole world, and whoever preserves a life is as if he preserved the whole world. This was quoted at the conference. No one person speaks for all. Thank God.

Because they can't let go. I am not happy with the election, but I don't post nasty posts (except when I was in a bad mood that one day). I'm still waiting for O to fall flat on his face, and I know by posting this, I will be bashed big time. But, I'm waiting and watching.
It's mostly the democrats who are being nasty on this board. You can't seem to make an honest comment without certain ones bashing you. All I can say is they better get a life and stop the crap. I'm sick of it. I come here to talk about issues and I don't need the O lovers to call me a liar, etc., even if I post links to hear it for themselves.
I've been called a racist, etc. for some stuff I've posted, but I have posted both sides. Don't get bashed for democrat postings, just pubs. It will never change. There are some people on this board who should be banned big time. I've seen their posts on the other boards and they bash there, too, so it's not just this board. They are very unhappy people and feel if they don't bash someone once or twice a day, it doesn't make them happy.

Doesnt it just crush your heart to think there are people out there that no matter how bad the country is being run, no matter that thousand are dying for a lie, no matter that hundreds died because FEMA just couldnt do the job, that senior administration officials outed a CIA operative, which endangered the United States and all who worked undercover with this operative, that Cheney met with oil officials, no doubt to create an energy policy favorable to the oil industry, on and on and on and on..they still defend this administration when the FACTS are in and more are coming in day in and day out. An upright person would see what is going on and even though they are die-hard republicans, they would realize it is time to bring this administration to task because it is THIS administration not the whole republican party..but no, instead of attacking and questioning this administration, they choose to attack us, *little people* on numerous political boards throughout the internet..

God gave us free will when he created us, and one of the freedoms we were given was to think for ourselves. I am a black woman and I will convey to everyone on this board that NO ONE thinks for ME, and because I AM black it is assumed that I will vote for Obama - if that is not bigoted I don't know what is. I will tell you this though - one thing I have learned from this election is that racism in this country is alive and well and has reared its ugly head, and a lot of things that people feel in their hearts regarding minorities are NOT being hidden because the comfort level to say such ugly and bigoted racist things seems not to be a problem. As far as you 'wishing i don't have young people around me to hear this year in and year out' - you can say whatever you want. here's a girl after my own heart. I have
done my share of camping in the winter inside the house, too. We will probably have a cold winter, we usually do after a hurricane. I had whiskey barrel planters outside that had filled with water and never got any plants put in them and they froze solid that winter; I am 20 miles off the coast. My girlfriend went "skating" on the stock pond that winter and broke through the ice. She says her feet have been cold ever since. Looks like I will be spot heating again this winter, just where I happen to be in sweats and sweaters and an electric blanket or small heater. My son is a train engineer and he tried to tell the boys at the coal plant what would happen, but they were dems and their daddies were dems, etc., and oh, the ripple effect that is coming.

In my own bitter selfish way
I am one of those evil smokers, and every clapped and cheered as taxes have skyrocketed to at least $2-3 a pack because the sanctimonious ones, not content to ban us and our vile little smoldering sticks from all public places, felt it necessary to save us from ourselves.
When they started this tactic, a lot of smokers pointed out that it was a slipper slope to go down...what would be next? Our Twinkies? Our butter? and we were poo-pooed as being ridiculous in our attempt to defend our vice. But it looks like we weren't too far off, and we're going to continue to just blithely let it happen. They've gotten rid of transfats, they're working on eliminating salt, and slowly but surely every individual choice we could make in our private lives is being whittled away.

for it like the Europeans do. We are over taxed enough as it is, and to me over taxation is slavery. I don't expect anyone to be forced to take care of my medical bills, so why do you think I should be forced to take care of yours? I voluntarily tithe to my church...nobody beats me over the head every Sunday and makes me do it. I do it out of a spirit of giving. God doesn't make me do it, so why should the government?
One reason drug prices are so high in America is because of litigation. People want drugs here, but if there's an ill side effect or someone falls over dead....let the suing begin!!! We are a country of wusses and victims, and then we wonder why we pay so much at the counter, because all the costs of lawyers and endless studies just to try and keep litigation at bay
If we would get over our selfish wussification then life would be so much more bearable for all. We would take care of our sick and elderly like God directed us to do in the Bible and our world would be a much better place, but I don't see selfishness ending anytime soon not as long as people think someone else should go to work for them when they are capable working and then pay their medical bills to boot.
