In fact, I am quite happy in my life. Don't need religion or guns. I have my family, my friends, my hobbies, the ocean a few miles away. Life is quite good. Just don't have anything in common with her. My neighbors all make more than $30K a year because we couldn't afford to live here on less. Average home price is $350K. Not elitist, just a lot of hard working, honest people, who enjoy living in a beautiful part of the world. If I could afford to spend on 10K to send my kids somewhere I could. Don't begrudge anyone that can.

to something other than religion and guns like a lot of us out here in flyover middle America. Sad tho that you can't find something more in common with her than you mention. Using your rules, I have nothing in common with Obama either. I don't spend $10 grand sending my kids to camp. I don't live in a 1.2 mil mansion. I don't look down my nose at middle America with comments like "people bitterly clinging to guns and religion." I don't attend $30,000 a whack dinners with Hollyweird folks...most of my neighbors make that in a YEAR of hard work. Yep, I have much more in common with religious gun-toting Sarah than I do with elitist Obama, and I think she understands how I live much more than he ever will.
Feel free to keep clinging to them.
