By you guys I mean you and the other conservative posters who have done the bulk of the posting on the liberal board in the past few days. I probably should have been clearer on that.
You do have a point about my posts and in some ways I would agree. However, as stated, it is not worth perseverating over and restating the same points repeatedly, as I have stated.
In the same league and someone's equal would be very close in meaning the very same thing. They would pretty much be definitions for each other. Look it up if you disagree.

I am the OP here, and just want to clarify. I meant no harm posting this and I am sorry if I offended anyone. I don't like getting bashed for making a statement either. I didn't make any other comments about the two men. It's just one of those things, being an MT, I have always noticed the way words or letters go together. It was something that I saw, and I just thought it was really weird. I just wondered if anyone else had made that connection, since we are all in this business together.
Now go on and flame me, I could care less. You all think I did it to bash Obama. I didn't. Take it for what it's worth. I just thought it was crazy weird. I NEVER compared him or put him in the same class as OSAMA. Just made an observation. Leave it at that.

Bush was not against SCHIP. That program is still in effect today. All he opposed was expanding it ever higher up the income ladder.

What religion does with politics is abuse of rights. Yes, they should have the right to worship and do whatever within the guidelines of the law, but when it gets to the point it is now where every time you turn around the govt has to worry about how the "religious community" will respond it is obvious that those "rights" have turned into a lobbying force.
It is illegal for a church or pastor with nonprofit status to endorse any candidate, and yet all through the presidential election the church down the street from me (as did a multitude of other churches) posted signs all over the place about how Obama is the anti-christ, etc, etc. Exactly where do those rights end?
Also it was evangelicans who initiated the campaign to pass prop 8 in California and did so with huge donations not only from individuals but from the church as well. In that case the "church" actually facilitated taking away rights from people. They didn't think twice about that, and actually rejoiced in their victory, but when it comes to their rights its a different story.

That apples and oranges line of thinking does not compute (life in the US, Russia or Cuba). My brain cells do not connect along those same pathways. Let's try some logic.
Since we don't know what it going to be like (your words, not mine) under O, one can only speculate. Knock yourself out on that one. I'm not into that. Bush, however, has had his debut, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th acts. The curtain is coming down and we have concrete evidence on which to base our individual takes on his regime. There is reliable data available (approval ratings, whose better off now than in 2000, the state of our economy, our standing in the world, etc) which suggests that for many of us, W has managed to single-handedly turn our country into something we can barely recognize. The hatchet job he and his buddies did early on with the Constitution is all the evidence I need to feel justified in my absolute contempt for the man and his legacy, not to mention the fact that pretty much nothing he has done has even begun to address the problems we face with terrorism on the international front and the economy, health care, the environment, etc on the home front. The decider to some, the destroyer to others.

everything I have posted about Obama is a fact...he has an association with an anarchist. I also said in the same post that until the papers from Oolumbia came out I would reserve judgment. That is in no way a slam. It is a fact. He voted against the Infants Born Alive bill in Illinois. Twice. He is the only senator who got up and actually spoke against it. That is a fact. All you have to do is check the public record of the Illinois state senate. I posted it because it is the truth and that is a concern to me as a voter. That is my right,much as you would like to take it away from me. And you people have the GALL to call me intolerant. Good lord, people.
I don't hate the Clintons. I don't hate Obama. I don't even hate you poor people. I don't hate anyone. Hate is a useless, wasted emotion. Maybe one of these days you people will realize that.
I have said this over and over, and perhaps you people can make me understand this question. Democrats are supposed to be all about individual freedom, including freedom of speech. Yet you do not practice it. What is that about? Don't you need to just come clean and say yes we believe in that for us, but not for you?

thankfully has been translated into the King's English, as I, too, never found the time to learn the old languages, but if you look into any bookstore, you can pick up a copy, best seller, very easy to read and follow with an open heart. Why the nasty slams, do they stem from some very frayed, exposed nerves that come from trying to defend the indefensible? Mr. Bush is a very nice, Christian man in my point of view, I would probably love to meet him, but he made an abdomination out of the office of the presidency, and I am just hoping and praying for a return to respect, decency, hope, altruism, etc for this country. But if the haters have their way, it will never happen, a house divided against itself really will fall, and we can all continue to argue and ridicule. Really sad.

objective views. This is a one-sided publication that asks for donations to keep it going. Nothing I read in there posts anything against any democrats, just republicans. It is not a fair-minded reporting.

My post was a direct answer to the direct post...
of Democrat. It was not a blank open-ended statement. And dial it back a notch...it is certainly your right to protest anything any time you want to. Just like it is my right to protest you protesting while men and women are still in harm's way, because you are in effect aiding the enemy. Apparently the Viet Nam experience taught you nothing. Americans protesting in the streets heartened the enemy and when they were about to surrender decided not to, based a lot upon what was happening in the American streets. I believe that the protesting in that war prolonged the war and cost more American lives. Hanoi Jane should have been tried for treason. That being said...lessons were not learned and the protestors are doing the exact same thing now. Exercising the very right bought for them by shedding of American military blood. And I still say common courtesy should keep people out of the streets and off the TV until the military are home safe. But it just proves the same thing to me over and over...the selfISHhness of the protestors vs. the selfLESSness of the military. They continue to put it all on the line for your right to protest anything you want to protest...it is up to YOU to decide where and when that is appropriate, and it is up to you to take the heat for same. It is up to me and others like me (in my opinion) to apply that heat. Go ahead and do whatever your conscience or lack thereof moves you to do. But do not expect those of a different mind not to protest the protest.

I know for a fact that when he ran for President in 2000, I told every single person I knew that if he becomes President, we're going to go to war with Iraq. (Nobody's gonna treat his daddy like Saddam did and get away with it.)
I didn't have a crystal ball. I had common sense and a good memory from the Gulf War when his father was President and how he didn't "finish the job." Seems a lot of other Americans forgot about that.

There are some evil people in this world but my first wish for them is that they find Christ and turn from their evil ways with His help. I too hope one day you find Christ, gt, and quit letting misguided Christians and Christian leaders keep you from HIM. Their blunders are not worth your eternal soul.
