I just refreshed my memory on that movie and it is incredibly real. I doubt, however, that I would have believed it unless I had known these people up close and personal like I do. The movie is right on and what really burns me up is that they bring that mind set and part of their culture with them to us in the United States of America. All I can say is if you know a woman or child who is suffering from this is just be there for them. Their only alternative in many cases is to cut off all ties and thus they become "orphaned" here or there. Can you imagine the fear and frustration they feel? How alone?
