Zero credit card debt.
Only 1 car between the 2 of us for over a year to save $$.
Watch a 12-year-old TV.
Bought a house well within our budget, at a fixed rate.
Then husb lost job 5 months ago, applying like crazy, getting nothing.
My MT work dried up considerably, though I still have some work.
HAD savings which is now almost gone.
Never been late on any payments...yet. Credit rating still VERY high.
We did everything right and responsibly, but we're still teetering on not being able to make a mortgage payment.
A stimulus help such as a drop in interest rate would be a HUGE boon to us. WE did not cause the crisis and are doing our darndest to NOT be a part of it...but some things are beyond our control.
