Nope, never said I wasn't black, but I remember the argument you're talking about...sm

Nan, Military Brat and Bush supporter took me to task over whether or not I was black when I said *and who said I was black anyway* I'm trying to find this in archives.
But, what I can't stand is people having a preformed opinion about how I am going to think or should think since I'm black, that's why I don't post my race. Once I posted that I was African American that's when they started the *I thought you said you weren't black.* Which I have never denied my race. Sorry, but not true.

I wasn't kidding. I don't remember a disaster like Katrina during the Clinton sm
presidency with someone inexperienced at the helm of the fed agency responsible for it, but I will do my research on travelgate.
Nope. -was protecting the country instead of talking
nm
I wasn't talking about you in particular
I was making a general statement but not about you.
And seeing as I don't "assume" anything that doesn't apply to me.
I remember the post you are talking about. SM
It has been removed, I am sure because this Dixie person posted a horrible post to Nan and if memory serves, Nan's response was not to call her a drunk but to ask if the bars had closed early. It seems to be gt is the one calling people a drunk. Just an observation.
I remember the post you are talking about...sm
and even during the Lunsford trial back on the old board this did not seem to be a conservative concern. Liberals posted more about this and conservatives posted more about the Shiavo case. I'm not going to get into who cares or who doesn't because all I know is child molestion is hovering at the top of the list for me. I think while this is a morality issue, it is a legal and political one as well. Our legal system has to protect the most vunerable in society - the children, and our politicians should do whatever in their power, i.e., change laws to protect them.
This is the one topic that I see eye to eye with Bill O'Rielly on. He thinks every state should adopt Jessica's Law and I agree and I think people should consider if the person they are voting for will make changes in this direction. Just look at the Groene children and how the man who killed that family and abducted the two young children was out on BOND for molesting a 6 year-old. A repetitive offender can waltz around with no worries and continue his spree on innocent people.
Jessica's Law should apply to the leader of the Oregon Christian Coalition too. The thing that disturbs me the most about the priests and religious leaders is that oftentimes other people know what's going on but they cover it up.
Yeah, well, I seem to remember Democrat saying she wasn't African-American awhile back. sm
So which is it?
Nope. I don't just post talking points. I back it up.
see above.
I wasn't talking about mindset at all. sm
I was talking about the effect the antiwar movement had on the war and how the war was conducted because of it. I don't know where the rest of what you are saying came from but it wasn't from my post.
I wasn't talking about your posts tonight, gt, and you know it. sm
Your old posts are still on this board. Like the poster who asked if you were strapped to the White House gate, I found your posts out of control and over the line. Laugh all you want.
Reagon wasn't specifically talking about
Barrack Obama.....however, what he did say can be applied to what Obama wants.
Bigger government gives government control over us. Government is supposed to work for us....not control us. Obama wants bigger government. He wants a government that has more control over us.
Taking guns away from US citizens will leave them defenseless. Obama wants to take away our guns.
Dictators take away weapons from their people so they have nothing to fight back with....therefore leaving the dictators to do what they wish. I do not know if Obama will in fact turn into a dictator, but I don't want him to my guns to find that out either.
I wasn't talking about mainstream media....... sm
I was talking about this forum. Apparently you have not been around here for long.....or just chose to ignore the Bush Bash Fest that has been going on here.
Go ahead and kick back. Don't forget to get a refill on that kool-aid......you'll be needing it.
maybe if you're black... or the VP...he's not going to live out his term

You're right - Obama does look like a black Dickie.

So what you're saying is a black person couldn't possible

Nope you're wrong
I haven't posted here in quite a while. And as I said, there are apparently quite a few others that post here. When some of us see your posts deteriorate into bullying and name-calling we speak up about it. It's as simple as that.
I don't know what you're talking about.
But I find it funny that you throw out a bunch of words and suddenly your friend below accepts them as fact.
I'm being investigated? Fine. Investigate away. I have nothing to hide.
If you're talking about....sm
McCain, he has said he doesn't believe in torture, and I have doubts he would use it on anyone else, especially since it was used on him.
Hey, that's me you're talking about....LOL (sm)
Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it), religion does have an influence on politics. So when we start talking about abortion, for example, you really can't talk about the issue without talking about religion. For me, the idea of religion being brought up on this board is not the issue. The issue is that people seem to have little tolerance of other religions (or the lack thereof).
No idea what you're talking about -
...except the person who posted whatever it was on the conservative board, so why don't you take it up with that person ON THE CONSERVATIVE BOARD? You sure give yourself a lot of license coming here to bash everyone else over it, as if that's some kind of excuse.
Looks like the NeoCons are getting bored talking to each other...have to come here to troll instead. Had to happen!
I don't know if you're talking about my post or not.
I think the subject line that All Americans Deserve to Live (or something like that).
I see that my post is gone, and if mine is the post you're referring to, I'm sorry. I can't repost it. It was just something I quickly wrote from my heart, and I didn't keep a copy of it.
I guess I'll have to start saving a copy of everything I write. :-(
Sure sounds like you're talking about yourselves here, you two....nm
It's okay to glom on and bully down the republicans, be it the candidates or posters. But let one do it to you, and you cry foul, like the hypocrites you are.
Every description you use to define the right, sounds a lot like your libby posts. How ironic. Right in front of your nose, and you can't even see yourself.
So sorry for your small, closed mindedness.
I'm guessing you're talking about
the old fart, right? That's all he does. He doesn't care about our country. He only cares about being in power, why...I can't figure out. He'd be the second worst in history, BUSH first. Remember when you voted for BUSH? HaHaHaHa...Oh, not really. Look where we are now.
Don't have a clue what you're talking about so
Quran Surah 4: Women
Have no unbelieving friends. Kill the unbelievers wherever you find them. 89
If the unbelievers do not offer you peace, kill them wherever you find them. Against such you are given clear warrant.
Quran Surah 5: The Table Spread
Christians will be burned in the Fire. 72
Quran Surah 6: The Cattle
Allah chooses to lead some astray, and he lays ignominy on those who disbelieve. 125
Allah will send everyone the Fire, except those he chooses to deliver. 128
Surah 9: Repentance
Don't pray for idolaters (not even for your family) after it is clear they are people of hell-fire. 113
Fight disbelievers who are near you, and let them see the harshness in you. 123
As much as Christians are harshly put down on this board, my God does not teach me to fight disbelievers, to not pray for them, to ignore idolators (not even for your family?), which would be the very ones we would want to pray for.
Also, my God does not purposefully lead people astray so he can them burn them in hell.
Basically, Muslims are taught to love other Muslims; otherwise, everyone else are nonbelievers and are not worthy of their love.

Don't you realize who you're talking to?
These type of people have no loyalty to this country. They just don't get "free people". They have never gotten what it means to be in a country where they have freedoms other countries don't have and they never will.
They are so wrapped up in their own lives, they will never get the big picture. Just like with this president. They will sing his praises for the next 4 years even if he took every freedom they have away because they won't admit he is taking this country down the wrong path..... that's because country doesn't mean anything to them; the "party" is all they see and for some, the fact we have a black man for president is all they care about. Either way, it's very sad for us all.
I didn't like a lot of things Bush didn't do while in office... closing our borders for starters, so more moochers won't crawl, the crime rate wouldn't skyrocket, and our prisons wouldn't be full of still more freeloading moochers I have to pay for for years to come. The fact that he didn't pardon the border patrol agents sickens me. There is no excuse for that.
So, for those who are stuck on "party" lines instead of what is best for their country, they will pull this country down. The fact that poster thinks it's a good thing to keep "free speech" silenced is frightening. Those people are what's wrong with this country!
You don't have a clue what you're talking about.
You obviously don't know a thing about Britain in the 1930s, when Hitler was coming into power. Britain banned Winston Churchill and wouldn't let him speak in the house of parliamant, because he was speaking the truth about what Germany was doing to the Jewish people, and they didn't want to hear it! Well, we all know what happened there!
This whole thing started with Jacqui Smith..... because of ALL the violence in Muslim neighborhoods and all the Muslim leaders in Great Britain inciting hate and violence, she was to compile lists of Muslims who incite violence around the world with a call to jihad and make sure no more of these types of people can get into Great Britain. Well, they were on the right track there until of course politics got in there and someone convinced her they didn't want to seem to have a problem with Muslims, so they thought it best to throw in a couple of white guys so it wouldn't look so "profilish".
Speaking of hate-mongers, they have lots of muslims standing in their streets threatening violence to Britain and the United States, standing right in the streets of Great Britain big as you please incisting violence. Now that Britain has realized what a mistake it is to have them in their country and just what evil people they are, they are seeking to get them out and at the very least, keep anymore from getting in their country.
Too bad they didn't go after Rev. WRight....now there's a violent man inciting hate and violence if ever I saw one!!!
Kim Jong II isn't on that list. Chavez the sicko isn't on that list.
There are British people in the streets calling for the overthrow of their own government and for good reason! Their government has turned into just what this country is turning into. Butt kissing sissies!!!
Remember Abu Izzadeen? The race hate preacher? I doubt you have a clue who I'm talking about, cause you know nothing about anything, just diarrhea of the mouth. Izzadden PRAISED the July 7 London suicide bombings in the streets, and has been freed after spending barely serving 12 months of a 4-1/2 year sentence!! I believe his words were, "The Americans and British only understand one lanuage, the language of blood". He has called for ALL UK Muslims to kill British troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. But I suppose YOU no doubt find him more appealing than Savage. Now THERE'S a hate monger...no... there's an evil human being. He now walks the streets of London again, spewing his inciteful hate and in full view trying to encourage all Muslims in London to KILL Britains and Americans.
Yep, you got it all figured out. Britiain is scared to death; their own police won't even go into Muslims neighborhoods because the violence is just THAT bad!!!
They're a bunch of sissy wimps who have now found themselves stuck with very evil people by the thousands in their own backyards and now they are regretting it!!!
Do you have any idea what you're talking about?
You sound like a blithering boob just parroting what the Huffington Post told you.
It's quite obvious you didn't check your facts, or do a moment's worth of research.
You're missing the point. She's not talking about
people like your stepdaughter. She's talking about all the free loaders who won't get off their lazy butts and get a job even when they are more than capable of doing so.
When I was little my mom struggled to feed the two of us because my dad was a deadbeat. She went to the welfare office asking for just a little help to feed us. They told her that she made too much money but if she quit her job, they would pay for everything: housing, food, everything. She could have easily taken the easy route and taken them up on their offer but had too much integrity. Here she was making too much money in their eyes but many weeks only had $5 after bills to feed herself and her only child. Now that is a messed up government. I'm all for helping people help themselves. Pay for day care while they get an education, pay for food while they work to better themselves but NOT pay for them to drive fancy cars, have satellite that they watch on big screen TVs, and eat potato chips and ice cream. Get real, open your eyes, and quit making excuses for the lazy! We're not talking about the needy. Yes, there are people are mentally or physically unable to work. That is NOT who we are talking about!
Unfortunately, you're talking to ignorant people!

So what, you're 80, 90 years old and know this? Previous poster talking about...sm
Joseph Kennedy back in the 1940s and 1950s, some 60-70 years ago, and what he did and didn't do? It's all in the history books.
Maybe Teddy is like that today and pays for nothing (doubt that, but hey, you say live there, whatever), really don't care for him much at all, what with Chappaquiddick (sp?) and all, and how daddy Kennedy got young Teddy off on murder charges on that poor girl, Mary Jane Kopechne. Daddy Kennedy called in favors for that one, too, doncha know.
It's well known how much daddy Kennedy did for JFK way back then, to get him elected. It's called history.
We're talking about a brand new baby born with Down's...there is NO comparison at all...nm

AR, you can't remember what you were talking about from moment to moment.
Sorry for the late reply, I've been gone a week. Now AR, I have no problems admitting when I'm wrong about something. However, you STILL have not pointed out anything I said that was factually wrong. First you attack me for claiming R. Bennett was a partisan Republican, which I never did. Seeing that YOU were wrong, you then shifted gears to try and attack me to say that the Bennetts don't LIKE to be lumped together and that was what I really intended to do!! Just admit it!! LOL - sure I was speculating that they may share the same upbringing and philosophies, which is a very logical SPECULATION to make. I never said I didn't do that. That was the point of the whole post.
Arm yourself better next time and you might not come off looking like such a ninny.
I will remember that one...if you remember...thou shalt not kill. nm

McCain wasn't desperate and wasn't behind in the polls
In fact, they have been neck and and neck, and McCain has been gaining in the polls while Obama has been slipping. McCain could have taken the easy way and kept the stable course and picked safer, sure. Instead, he picked a maverick leader like himself, who isn't afraid to get in there and make changes even if it goes against their own party. I believe he wanted to say that the Republicans are the party for change, and wanted to make a bold statement. I've seen statements at "other sites" as well where people are absolutely joyous at this pick.
LOL No argument s/m
I'm neither Democrat or Republican, I usually call myself independent. I march to my own drum. I would have liked to have seen 2 different candidates than what we had. I would have liked to see a true Christ-like man, humble and honest in his/her campaign...i.e. the "Straight Talk Express" which McCain claimed to have and didn't.
I simply voted AGAINST the man who bragged that he had voted "with the president over 90% of the time, more than even his Republican colleagues." We certainly need change. I know I haven't fared so well under Bush. All is not lost for those who think Obama is a monster if he in fact turns out to be what he's been accused of being. . Remember Richard Nixon?
you win the argument
If you like Bush you are a rare person indeed. His approval rating is 26%.
So now is your time to shine because your guy is still in charge and you should enjoy it.
Yes, anything to make an argument...sm
No pun intended to reality check, but yes anything can turn into an argument. Yep.
Why don't you take your little argument over to the CON board.
You can con each other on the CON board. How's that?
So is posting the same argument.
I remind you that the monitor recently posted we could cross-post, as we have had liberals on the conservative board, as long as the posts were not bashing.
Wow, that's a good argument....
it is not a personal choice. There are two people involved, one of whom has NO choice. Not fair.
Is that your only argument for socialism?
My word....people are committing adultery on both sides of the fence, that will never change. What in the world does that have to do with socialism and socialists candidate?
But you have made your argument here FOR
You already know where Obama stands. He has said outright he will raise taxes to pay for more social programs. He wants to tell you how to get your healthcare. I agree we definitely need to do something about healthcare but then that could be easily done if the fat cats on capitol hill, including Obama, would stop insurance lobbyists and make it illegal for lobbying....period!!! They then would have to make it more affordable or they will not have a business to run in the first place.
I too would like to see our troops come home from Iraq but not give that money to Obama because it will be wasted faster than you can blink and on what? More socialist programs...
If you look deep into what Obama hasn't detailed in his healthcare plan, you will see that you WILL be paying DEEPLY for it. He has managed to waltz around the details of his plan, which include HUGE tax hikes to pay for that wonderful healthcare he wants to give you.
With the two candidates I am left to choose from, I choose a capitalist over a socialist any day. I'm about to believe Obama would sell his soul to the devil to get in that position.
Okay, that argument aside, here's a legitimate
What will be your thoughts, and more importantly - your ACTIONS - if the candidate of your choice doesn't win?
Where do you go from there?
Do you have a plan as to what you will do, or not do, or change, or flee, if your candidates lose the election?
I can see both sides of the argument
Yes, many people are getting threatened and businesses getting picketed for supporting Prop 8. You cannot deny that (what was the pink taliban or whatever that disrupted church service a month or so ago?)
But on the other hand, if they want these donations anonymous, than that means Obama and other politicians can make their donations anonymous, and I think it's the publics right to know who is financing the next leaders of the country.
I just find it interesting that the homosexuals are assaulting and threatening supporters of the Prop 8 for what they believe in when they themselves are asking for fair treatment for what they believe in.
You don't do your argument any good
by talking down to people. The point I gathered from the the Bloomberg article seems to state what many have said and that is that with all the spending the government has done and will continue to do, the government could have paid off almost all mortgages and settled what was touted as the root cause of all the problems, the subprime mess.
Bailouts don't work, handouts don't work, the free market does.
With one mistake after another, rookie Obama's decisions and policies demonstrate one thing only and that is his stimulus package is political payback instead of finding genuine solutions. The vagueness of his campaign speechmaking was the work of a hollow wordsmith after all.
"I contend that for a nation to try to tax itself into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket and trying to lift himself up by the handle." -Winston Churchill
I am so sick of this argument
All that clause means is that their will be no state sponsored religion - like saying everyone has to be Baptist or Lutheran or Catholic. It had nothing to do with taking God out of the white house or supreme court or anywhere else! The only reason that happened is because Christians just sat by and didn't say anything while everyone else whined about it and now it's too late to reverse all that because the mindset now is "oh we have to have separation of church and state!"
Of course as greedy and grimy as politicians are these days they probably feel better thinking that God doesn't pay attention to politics!
Here's some quotes from the founding fathers:
William Bradford
• wrote that they [the Pilgrims] were seeking:
• 1) "a better, and easier place of living”; and that “the children of the group were being drawn away by evil examples into extravagance and dangerous courses [in Holland]“
• 2) “The great hope, and for the propagating and advancing the gospel of the kingdom of Christ in those remote parts of the world"
John Adams and John Hancock:
We Recognize No Sovereign but God, and no King but Jesus! [April 18, 1775]
"We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge, or gallantry, would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." --October 11, 1798
“The Law given from Sinai [The Ten Commandments] was a civil and municipal as well as a moral and religious code.”
John Quincy Adams. Letters to his son. p. 61
Benjamin Franklin: | Portrait of Ben Franklin
“ God governs in the affairs of man. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without his notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without His aid? We have been assured in the Sacred Writings that except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it. I firmly believe this. I also believe that, without His concurring aid, we shall succeed in this political building no better than the builders of Babel” –Constitutional Convention of 1787 | original manuscript of this speech
In Benjamin Franklin's 1749 plan of education for public schools in Pennsylvania, he insisted that schools teach "the excellency of the Christian religion above all others, ancient or modern."
Patrick Henry:
"Orator of the Revolution."
• This is all the inheritance I can give my dear family. The religion of Christ can give them one which will make them rich indeed.”
—The Last Will and Testament of Patrick Henry
Thomas Jefferson:
“ The doctrines of Jesus are simple, and tend to all the happiness of man.”
“Of all the systems of morality, ancient or modern which have come under my observation, none appears to me so pure as that of Jesus.”
"I am a real Christian, that is to say, a disciple of the doctrines of Jesus."
Article 22 of the constitution of Delaware (1776)
Required all officers, besides taking an oath of allegiance, to make and subscribe to the following declaration:
• "I, [name], do profess faith in God the Father, and in Jesus Christ His only Son, and in the Holy Ghost, one God, blessed for evermore; and I do acknowledge the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testament to be given by divine inspiration."
