What research should a person do on Pat Roberson to prove that it was bogus and taken out of context? I mean really. That's the right argument everytime, *Yeah he said the man should be assasinated but it was taken out of context. OR He suggested exterminatoin of an entire race would reduce crime, but it was taken out of context.* Everyone else gets it wrong but you guys, yeah that's the right.
As far as politicizing religion, that's the speciality of the right from what I can tell. I believe there should be a separation in church and state and for one reason only - people interpret things differently. Case and point, how differently you and I interpret Pat Roberson's intentions in his comments. When you don't have separation there is a lot of room for conflict.
Equally, Christian rights should be trampled in the process, i.e., the right to say God in school should be there, prayer should be allowed in schools for those interested, I don't see the problem with the word God on the dollar bill, and things like that.
