Our government is acting
like bad parents who let their kids do whatever because they are their best friends and they don't want their kids mad at them. It is the "they must like me" syndrome. Instead of keeping our defense strong and standing up against bullies, we are wanting to have tea and crumpets with comrades from other countries to talk about our differences. The only way they will be happy if they take over and are the super power instead of the US. The US has had control of the seas since WWII and now China has a weapon that will take out an air craft carrier. We may be arrogant, but we haven't taken crap from people. We always helped others who needed help. Now all these other countries would love nothing more than to see us fall flat on our face and for them to take over and start telling us what to do and no civil discussion held between Obama and any leader of another country is going to change that.....I don't care if Obama actually gives them a good gift that time. They hate us. They want us to fail. They want to be the super power. There is no talking about this as there is nothing to talk about. Obama is dreaming to think that he can talk to these people. They are just biding their time until the US goes bankrupt so they can take over.
Isn't Obama acting just like any
teenager, as far as his reaction to all this? Thinks he knows everything. Thinks his parents (the rest of the country) are dumb as a box of rocks. Won't listen to us. Won't listen to other grownups (certain European leaders) when they say, ''Learn from our experience. What you're doing will come to a bad end.'' Nobody can teach him anything. Takes a certain type of youthful arrogance to think you have all the answers when you cannot even imagine all the questions, to think that your outcome will be better just because of how special you are.
When a parent encounters this type of pumped-up juvenile behavior, the only thing to do is make the kid get a job pay for his own mistakes, take away the car keys, ground him until he's 21 and hope by the time he grows up he may realize we're not as stupid as we look.

What puzzles me is who cares what any actors think about anything other than acting?
Why should I care what Tom Hanks thinks about politics? Or what Sean Penn thinks about Hugo Chavez? They have no particular expertise that makes their opinions one bit more interesting or any more valid than my mailman. In fact, I'd be more interested to know what an ordinary citizen like my mailman thinks.
I can't understand why anyone interviews them or quotes them on such topics AT ALL. Even more, I can't understand why any of us would listen to them or give 2 cents for their opinions.
