No. My ex owned many and he had an anger problem, he would chase me around the house with the gun and shoot in the floor or ceiling. When I finally got the courage to leave him, I wanted nothing to do with guns. My friends have advised me I should get one, as I live in an extremely rural area in the Mojave Desert (only three houses out here) but after my experiences with guns, they scare me. I do have pepper spray and three enormous dogs that are protective and I also am in pretty good shape. Friends in town that worked with me at the local hospital, we took a class teaching self defense a few years ago. I lift weights and power walk. I think I can take care of myself fist to fist but I have a fear of guns. Im working on it, though. Maybe one day.
