My conclusion

We have no real clue what this program will or will not do. Everyone spins it whatever way benefits them, but I guess that's politics for ya. That site I found compares what SCHIP currently does with the proposals by both the house and senate. No where does it mention half the stuff that people are arguing. And, again, the arguments do not take into consideration cost of living in any given area. It's all argued on the basis of the federal poverty level. I don't know about where you all live, but here, you would pretty much be absolutely homeless if you lived even AT the poverty level and probably only be able to afford groceries - no house, clothes, transportion, and certainly not insurance.
Anyway, I give up! I'm sick of hearing the spins on this issue (from both sides).

Perhaps we came to the conclusion...(sm)
that Palin is dumb because she had 3+ chances to describe the job she was trying for and never did get it right. Maybe it was because she didn't know what the Bush doctrine was (much less what it meant), or that she couldn't name one magazine/paper that she read, or that she thought she had experience in foreign relations because she could see Russia (literally), or a whole host of other things along that line.
As for spending money in a recession, guess what? That's what we are supposed to be doing. The other option is to do what Herbert Hoover did -- a spending freeze....oh wait...that's right. The pubs are actually proposing that idea. It lead us into a depression last time, so it's bound to work this time. Now that's dumb.
Also, when you say "raising taxes" you might want to be more specific instead of going with that broad stroke the pubs like to use. Only 5% of people will actually see a tax increase.
Oh, btw, why are all you pubs up in arms about spending when 6 out of the top 10 earmark'ers in the Omnibus bill are pubs?
I've come to the conclusion he NEVER has anything
nm
Only an ignoramus would come to that conclusion
xx
How do you reach that conclusion?
From what I have seen, many/most of the people that are in favor of gay marriage rights are those mid-30s and younger. Not to devalue the opinion of our youth, but I'm guessing most of them were more concerned with Donnie Osmond than future cohabitating.
Conclusion to this mind merry-go-round
Yes, but just because Hitler made a case for exterminating the Jews by calling them socialists, and because Ford may have also hated them.....doesn't mean that in reality the Jews all really were socialists.
As I said, they were propagandists, or at least Hitler was (and if Ford publicly wrote about or ridiculed the Jews then he would be included) and propagandists pass off LIES as the TRUTH. So therefore we cannot draw a historically accurate conclusion that Jews are basically socialists.
The conclusion you have drawn about Palin's detractors
I feel I can speak for just about all of them when I say that we would really love it if she would go back to Alaska and tend to the own business of being governor, mom and wife, disappear from the spotlight and leave national politics to those more qualified. Most definitely, she would not be missed. Beyond that, we wish her luck, a good life and that NO HARM comes to her.
You continue to skip over the main issue...that being the relationship between hate speech, racism, bigotry, violence, crime and murder. Can you address that directly or not?
Facts don't matter to some people, I've come to that conclusion. sm
The democratic party leaders stand up there day in and day out, saying it wasn't their fault, it's the republicans, even when audio, video, etc., are available for anyone's review, even on this site today, that prove that they, the dems themselves, are/were the ones at fault....somehow they weasel out of it and scream and point fingers at the republicans.
I am just amazed and astounded......
How predictable that I read an entire thread and am capable of forming an independent conclusion?
that's quite predictable. You're obviously not one of those people.
