Lindsey Graham

I've seen Senator McCain accompanied by Senator Lindsey Graham almost as often as I've seen him with Senator Lieberman.  He's much younger, which is a very positive trait.  He is also very poised and dignified when he speaks.

If I were a Republican, I'd think that Lindsey Graham would be a very viable candidate to consider for McCain's VP.

I agree that he's wacko. When I heard him make that remark, I just shook my head and thought, If that's truly the case, then the whole world should have one big Katrina. What's really sad; he's not the only one thinking such a stupid thought.

There is really no way to say this without appearing to sound superior but it does say in the Bible that God will not be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. As you know from the aftermath in New Orleans all the looting and stuff that took place. It was like the Gold Rush days with no law and order. I guess those who think we are just here by accident will find out one day that there really is a God, a righteous one, who will judge each one of us accordingly. Like I said, time will tell. We can act like there is no God but that doesn't change the fact that He is who He is. Thank Him for that.

Think of a baby being born and how wonderful that is. Hard to believe something that wonderful just happened to appear. If we can appreciate the beauty of new life, then we have to realize someone or something had to create it. Any work of art or anything that we enjoy in this life was created by someone. It didn't just appear.

Try not to be too hard on Franklin Graham. He has helped so many kids overseas indirectly through the Childrens' boxes and Samaritan's Purse. Followers of Christ are not always right and definitely not perfect, but when there is a crisis, 9 times out of 10, they are right in the thick of things helping and reaching out in love. Check out his website: samaritan's purse and see for yourself. Remember: he is there helping not looking on from a distance. Be grateful for that. He, like the rest of Christ's followers, needs to be reminded to love one another as Christ has first loved us. After all, even while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Any man would die for a righteous man, but you won't find many who would did for an unrighteous person, but that is exactly what Christ did. All his followers deserted Him and He was left to die alone in our place.

If you have broken any of the 10 commandments, you have broken God's laws. They are: thou shalt not steal (even taking a paper clip from work or not giving change back that was wrongfully given to you is stealing), thou shalt not lie (white lies are included here or even meaning to deceive is a lie), thou shalt not kill (even thinking you want to kill someone in anger is the same as doing it), not commit adultery (looking at someone with lust in your heart is the same thing), taking the Lord's name in vain (yep, that is a sin), putting idols before the Lord (well, not acknowledging Him as our creator is doing just that), coveting one another's stuff (yep, wanting what your neighbor, coworker, friend etc has is considered that). So, you see we really do stand condemned. We really do deserve to die, but Jesus took our place. Whether or not the New Orleans thing came from God as a direct punishment to sin is anyone's guess. I do know that in the Bible it does say that even the wind and the seas obey Him. The only way we will wake up and start looking for someone greater than ourselves is when we are suffering. When we are happy, healthy, and wealthy, we seem to have no need for anything supernatural. It is only when we are down and out that we either curse God or look to Him for answers and comfort.

It's your call. But before you react to what I have said think about how things are going today and ask yourself, could this all get better without a higher source? Would you want a world with no police? We all want good to overcome evil. Unfortunately, man cannot do it without the Lord's help as we are selfish by nature. It is only because of Jesus in our hearts that we really want to do anything good without receiving anything in return. God is good all the time.

One more thought, try to explain the rainbow in the sky. There really is no way to explain why it appears after some rainstorms and not others. It was a promise to Noah that God would never glood the earth again, and so far He has kept His promise. He will return one day to judge the living and the dead, regardless if you want to believe it or not. You will one day find out, hopefully not before it is too late.

Take care, my friend. Because He lives, I can really face tomorrow. :)

Franklin Graham is wacko
Now we have Franklin Graham saying Hurricane Katrina was sent from God because New Orleans is so sinful..geez..and then we have Dobson saying he is waiting for a signal from God whether to approve Miers.  These fundamentalists ought to be admitted to a mental institution..They are crazy, absolutely bonkers.
Did you see the one where he asked Chuck Graham to stand up?
ROTFLMAO!
