Palin was a pawn. I believe she served her purpose to the Republican party, sad though it is to think that ANY party would do that to their VP candidate, much less the entire party.

And I'm not a pub...... I'm an independent and have been for the last 30 years. I have always voted my conscience based on the candidates and the issues and not according to party lines.
