Come to think of it, it might not hurt if Obama did call some of us for consultation. 

As with all change, the gas guzzler issue  needs to start with we, the people.  If there was no demand for gas guzzlers they wouldn't make them.  I have no idea who makes those stupid, very ugly hummers but there are plenty of them on the road.

Gas-guzzling trucks:  If people would like to continue to eat as long as possible, it might be a good idea to keep making heavy duty pick-up trucks.  I'm having myself a good laugh on this early morning with  the mental image of one of those ugly little Chinese matchbox cars trying to pull a stock trailer fully loaded with maybe 20,000 pounds of beef down the road.  BAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA
