I'm also in my early 50s and never paid that much attention, as well!!

Harold Ford has been showing up on more shows lately.  The most current one I've seen him on is Imus in the morning.  His appearance impressed me so much that I actually emailed him and asked him to run for President!!

I'm not sure if my age is the reason for my sudden interest or whether it's because this is the first time in my life that things seem so WRONG and I don't ever remember feeling this scared and feeling like the United States isn't being led by someone who is able to do the job.  First time in my life I'm extremely worried about the futures of my children and grandchildren.

Too bad there wasn't a Ford/Obama or Obama/Ford ticket running for President in 2004.  Might have made a difference.  I know I would have voted for them (and felt GOOD about it, too, for a change).
