It would certainly

not help some people who deserve it, but government funded programs do that now anyway.  The number of times I've seen someone getting disability who was very capable of working but was using the government and then the person who really can't work and needs disability being denied.  The people on welfare who won't try to help themself.  People who want to get a second job to try to make ends meet and better their life but they don't because if they do....they loose their food stamps and are right back to struggling.  It disgusts me that the government funded programs now will help those who won't help themselves, but someone who is barely making ends meets....gets no relief at all because they make just a little bit too much for government help. 

Once again, the dishonest people, scum, and crooks have ruined things for the honest people who just need help.  Our country cannot afford to help the few who are honest and really need the help compared to the scum who just want a handout for life. 

The number of times I've seen a morbidly obese person with a cart full of junk food and crap along with 4-5 kids in the store with them and they pay with food stamps.  The same people who can't afford health insurance but buy their $4 pack of cigarettes and usually have beer in the fridge.  If you take the amount of money some of these people spend on cigarettes a year....they could afford health care.
