No one is defending bleach deliberately thrown on a 70 year old woman, but in the absence of fair reporting and video camera evidence, for all we know, the bleach could have been aimed police in self defense during one of their sweep-ups that included that lady. When it comes accurate reports of police overreacting, it is rare indeed that we ever get a full story. All I am saying is that during Patriot Act years, war protesters have been portrayed as terrorist degenerates and I do no necessarily accept anything I see on TV or read in the paper. One thing I know for sure. Amy Goodman was there with a new crew trying to report the incident and being a daily listener of her and her show for years now, she ahd her crew subscribe to NOTHING but Ghandi nonviolent protest methods, yet still she and her crew were beatened, detained, arrested and (hey, what a surprise) later released WITH her crew.

This is an attack against a Christian group, plain and simple. Once the Christians are sufficiently quieted, they will move on to the next group that threatens the reign of the government.
Should I report the Mormons down the street who gather every week?
Or what about the girl scout leader who has sleep overs all the time and meetings at her house once a week? And they sell cookies! That should definitely be considered a business!
Anyone trying to twist this around to building codes really needs to pull the wool off of their eyes. It's infringement on our rights, plain and simple.

I wonder how long it will take before they stop letting returning soldiers gather together? Since they are also on the list of suspected domestic terrorists...
Oh and I remember how much the Jewish community down the street from where I grew up loved to get together on a weekly basis to socialize, eat, etc., wonder when they will be stopped?

we have an antecdotal incident where, in the absence of taped evidence, it is essentially one person's word against another. Here's a woman who has obviously bought into some of this hate rhetoric by responding to the question by calling Obama a socialist and baby killer.
Without a tape, there is no way to know presisely what this woman may or may not have said to the campaign worker. However, I am not surprised that in the current volatile environment, whipped up by an "energized" Christian right-wing McCain/Palin base, campaign workers are instructed to report any PERCEIVED death threats that in turn get passed on to the Secret Service for disposition.
If this woman makes statements to a newspaper reporter during a routine interview such as "panties in a bundle," when describing an Obama supporter, there is no telling what she is capable of saying when her own drawers are in an uproar.
I for one am grateful that the SS is airing on the side of caution...after all, it is their job. I am old enough to remember the non-stop democratic leadership assassignations of the 60s and the hate speech that prevailed during those times. BTW, we live in a post 911 Patriot Act world here where the shrub and his cronies would have us believe we are surrounded by home grown terrorists.

I saw clips of him from his interview on The View. Bill said Hill never wanted to be Obama's VP but would have accepted had she been asked but only out of duty. For a democrat like Bill to say that he admired both presidential candidates and that he genuinely liked John McCain....wow. I was just shocked. He did say that he thought Obama will win but stated that he thought both candidates ready to be president.
I personally think that neither Hill or Bill want Obama to be pres....obviously wanted her to be....but Hill is just waiting until her next run for pres in 2012. Right now she is backing her political party and I'm not really sure what Bill is doing. LOL! I've never been a Bill fan but it is nice to see someone say nice things about both candidates instead of spreading lies and tearing one candidate to shred while kissing the other candidate's back side.

president is a matter of opinion. Besides, former president or not.....why should he get to speak when Edwards is being banned when they both did the SAME BLASTED THING. I just heard that Bill Clinton admitted that the democrats in congress are responsible for this economic crisis stating that even he tried to stop this FMFM situation and each time the dems voted against it. I was trying to find the information on the internet but I just saw it on TV and not sure if there is a link to that information yet or not.
