and have always preferred Leno over him. I typically don't watch much late-night TV, but when given the choice, I always watched Leno. I haven't seen much of Conan's show yet, but I'm sure I would prefer him over Letterman any day.
I want to see what happens to the first "comedian" that makes fun of Obama's children. You'd have to get a tic sheet to count the number of times that person would be called a racist.

Thought this was funny...
My 4 year old son was looking at the front of our newspaper. On the cover, there were pictures of ALL the Republican and Democratic presidential candidates. All that I told him were these were pictures of the people who want to be the leader of our country.
He looks at the pictures, points at Hilary Clinton and tells me that she should be president. I asked why and he tells me he just thinks a Mom should be the leader. Gotta love how kids think. Thank you for letting me share.
If you thought it was funny, I see why you are a fan
nm
thought it was funny, too
Did you hear the sound bite of the woman who said she wasn't going to have to worry about putting gas in her car or paying her mortgage? He was going to take care of everything! No wonder our country is the way it is. Gimme gimme gimme so I don't have to get off my couch and get a job.
I thought I was being funny
Why is this board so bizarre?
I thought we would have more in common, but it turns out we have absolutely nothing in common except that we are strapped to our chairs eight hours a day as MT. Past that, forget it. We are not sisters at all. I have never actually met another MT in 15 years other than here, and now I am glad of it.
Thanks for the funny! Almost thought you were
serious for a minute!!
Although this article was funny (I thought)..
either one of the 2 could blow us to kingdom come at the drop of a hat and would. I heard 3 people (don't know their names because I do not often watch Fox) regular news people on Fox News say when asked Do you think Bush will attack Iran, they all 3 said Yes and these guys like Bush. If that were to happen, the Americans in Iraq would be the first target, then Israel, then Europe and then us. I guess that makes Bush a great white in bass clothing. Bush has messianic delusions of grandeur. He really believes God is channeling him and wants him to bomb the Middle East, pretty much all of it. Besides, we no longer have the terminator to contend with, we have The Decider.
I thought that was pretty funny too.
It's nice to see a lightening of the mood every now and then!
Well isn't that funny...I thought irrational was more like...
yes its alive, well no it isn't. It doesn't have a soul so it doesn't matter. Well yes, if it breathed it is alive and G-d gave it a soul, and then defend Obama voting AGAINST saving that child. That sounds somewhat more irrational to me.
Frankly, I don't see a difference between shooting someone who inconveniently is wearing the shoes someone else wants and slicing and dicing a living child because someone DOESN'T want it.
They are just as dead either way.
I laughed. Thought it was funny. nm
I've been giving your question some thought
Webster defines socialism as "any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or government ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods".
Now, that being established, my sister gave my 6-year-old nephew this analogy after he said he'd vote for Barack because "he has a cool name." She said the kids in his class get prize tickets for doing homework, raising their hands, etc. She said to my nephew, now suppose you have 3 tickets and the girl next to you has 3 tickets, but the boy across from you doesn't have any tickets because he acts up and doesn't do his homework or whatever. Now suppose your teacher says to you and the girl beside you to each give 2 of your tickets to the boy that doesn't have any so you all have tickets. His response...Well, that's not fair. He didn't EARN any tickets.
If a first grader gets it, I don't see why the supposed adults in our society don't get it. So, kids, get ready to give away even more of what you have to those that don't have anything because they're here illegally or too lazy to work and have a gigantic sense of entitlement. After all, we have to be FAIR!!! Right?
IMHO....
wanting segregation no matter what race you are (minority or not) is racist. That is what I took from her thesis.
IMHO....
First of all, I agree wholeheartedly with you that ILLEGALS should have their butts shipped back home and not hired to fill jobs LEGAL citizens can do (regardless of those who actually believe no one wants "those" jobs....that's crap!!) AND our borders should be secured to the point (unlike now), if you dare try to cross, you will be shot on sight....THE END! Wonder how many will continue to try to cross if they actually think they will be killed or how many will risk giving birth in our hospitals with their anchor babies? Probably not many after a few are picked off!! AND we stop punishing our border patrol agents for doing their job. One can only imagine the glee illegals got from knowing our government is so a**backwards that we lock up our own border patrol agents for doing their job!
On the other hand, taxing AIG executives 95% isn't legal in the first place and why should we suddenly go after them. Not ALL the executives are the bad guys. On the other hand, Obama's administration KNEW darn well these bonuses were already contracted when they handed out these billions of dollars, so they just look like fools trying to get it back by illegally taking it! These were legally binding contracts a private company has every right to do. If Obama was so worried the American taxpayer was suddenly giving them money and this MAY have been going to their bonuses, why did he let it pass? Wasn't it his DUTY to go through this thing LINE BY LINE. Wasn't that his campaign promise....of course, he has reneged on so many of his joke promises, nothing surprises me coming from him.
But once the word was out that Obama's bunch KNEW full well these contracts were signed LAST YEAR and were perfectly legally binding contracts and AFTER someone blew the whistle on it, THEN he pretends to be SOOOO angry and wants to get the money back?!! He's such a joke. These were last year's contracts and were/are legal!
Maybe they should have done their homework first instead of jumping the gun and handing over billions of taxpayers' dollars before they start back peddling and strutting around like little peacocks boasting how they are gonna get our money back. Pleeeze! This administration is a stinking joke! Looks like the keystone cops running around up there.
Heck, many democrats are turning on Obama left and right and calling for him to REIGN IN his spending. Even they are smart enough to figure out this guy is OUT OF CONTROL!
Sorry, IMHO
When Levi Johnson and Bristol Palin signed on as the poster children for the McCain-Palin ticket, they became political figures. The more Sara Palin continued to exploit these pathetic pregnant teens, the more political they became. If you don't want to discuss it and are looking for a more intelligent read, I suggest you start reading comic books!
Sums It Up, IMHO
Pretty much sums it up, if you ask me:
From the Sunday Portland Oregonian:
"Other than telling us how to live, think, marry, pray, vote, invest, [balance our budgets], educate our children--- and now, die--- I think the Republicans have done a fine job of getting government out of our personal lives."
Thank you, IMHO. (Please see message.)
Wow! LOL. I can certainly relate to making MANY mistakes, and I agree that it's okay to say you're wrong. I also agree that it keeps us humble and human, and to me, some of the best laughs I've ever had were when I was laughing at myself!
Although I appreciate very much your message about being nice to you, I can't help but feel sad that it's come to the point on this board where someone has to thank someone else for just being civil. I plead guilty to sometimes letting things get to me and have complained bitterly about those things at times, but I have always tried to complain about the issue at hand and not personalize it because I believe we can all agree without being disagreeable. (If anyone on this board believes I have attacked them personally, then I truly apologize because it wasn't meant that way.) Being nice to someone shouldn't be the exception; it should be the rule.
I, too, enjoy reading people's different opinions because I want to learn as much as I can, as well, and find new things to research, just like you.
As far as Anthony Hopkins is concerned, I couldn't agree with you more, and I can understand how one might think his characters are based on real people. I laughed out loud when I saw his inclusion in your list of doctors, and I'm very glad you interpreted my post in the manner it was intended: as something funny and as something I, myself, might be more than capable of doing and laughing at myself for it, as well.
I just wanted to thank you for such a lovely post and wish you a great day.
Not really a loss, IMHO.
I believe the term for him and others like him are RINOs (Republicans in name only).
Now at least he won't have to lie about which party he belongs to.

It is criminal neglect, IMHO
The more I read articles and watch videos in the net, the more horror it all becomes, I truly believe it is criminal neglect. I would think whomever will be found responsible after investigations (I assume Bush will be, the evidence is there), should be put on trial. This was just simply neglect by the federal govt to respond to a national emergency and hundreds or thousands have died because of it, animals are dying, billions will have to be spent to rebuild, people no doubt will be traumatically scarred for years to come, especially the children. Some will never know what happened to their family as the longer the bodies lay in the water and heat, their DNA breaks down. Beautiful New Orleans destroyed. Its like Bush is truly disconnected..he does not comprehend impending emergencies, he just does not get it and he would rather joke about disasters, like he did last week. I wonder if all that alcohol and cocaine he did in his youth burned part of his thought processes? Im just wondering what the next catastrophe will be under Bush's watch. 9/11, Iraq war and now this..American's dirty little secret is out to the world..we dont take care of the less fortunate, we would rather spend billions killing people in other countries than helping poor American citizens and strengthening our infrastructure. I hope the momentum continues and we demand from our servants, the politicians, to put America back on the right track.
Teaching about contraception is the key, IMHO
We need to start teaching men and women about contraception. Im amazed when I read medical reports at how many do not use anything or the *rhythm method*. Yes, I agree with you..I would love for there to be no thing such as abortion..It is a terrible thing, breaks my heart, however, until we educate people about contraception and taking responsibility for their sexual lives, abortion will continue, whether it is legal or not..and that is the terrible part. I can remember back in NY in the 1970s..Abortion was not legal..and women ended up dead in back room alleys, dirty motel rooms, in their own homes, trying to end a pregnancy with a coat hanger, their insides ripped out. I remember seeing pictures in Ms Magazine of police files of women who died trying to terminate a pregnancy. I fear it will go back to that..
IMHO, this is a ridiculous assertion.
Just how does appointing Panetta serve as pay back to the Clintons? He has Clintonites around him because that is where he has to go to look for leadership that is not tainted by Bush's one-man disaster area, especially when it comes to the CIA.
You're right...should be McPain... IMHO.

Down the drain? Beware of Obama's plan to 'spread the wealth around'
By Betsy Newmark High School History and Government Teacher/Blogger
If the McCain campaign can’t use this Obama quote to raise doubts about his attitude towards wealth and success, then they deserve the shellacking they seem headed for.
“Your new tax plan is going to tax me more, isn’t it?” the plumber asked, complaining that he was being taxed “more and more for fulfilling the American dream.”
“It’s not that I want to punish your success. I just want to make sure that everybody who is behind you, that they’ve got a chance for success too,” Obama responded. “My attitude is that if the economy’s good for folks from the bottom up, it’s gonna be good for everybody … I think when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody.”
Plumbers of the country, unite! Forget about the work and effort you put into building up a business or the scummy work that you do that many of us don’t know or don’t want to do. If you have succeeded, you should be willing to give up more of what you earn to help those who haven’t had the great good luck that you have had to be a successful plumber. Remember how Obama is going to give 95% of all of us a tax cut even though over 30% of the population doesn’t pay taxes?
He might call it a tax credit, but what he’s really doing is his vision of “spreading the wealth around.” It sounds a lot like Huey Long’s 1935 plan to “Share the Wealth.” And when he finds that he can’t tax the top 5% of the population to gain enough wealth to spread to the 95% of the rest of us, do you really think that he’ll stop with that 5%?
Remember…This is the guy who said in the ABC debate during the primary season that his approach to raising tax on capital gains is not based on whether it would provide more revenue but on his idea of what is fair:
GIBSON: All right. You have, however, said you would favor an increase in the capital gains tax. As a matter of fact, you said on CNBC, and I quote, “I certainly would not go above what existed under Bill Clinton,” which was 28 percent. It’s now 15 percent. That’s almost a doubling, if you went to 28 percent.
But actually, Bill Clinton, in 1997, signed legislation that dropped the capital gains tax to 20 percent.
OBAMA: Right.
GIBSON: And George Bush has taken it down to 15 percent.
OBAMA: Right.
GIBSON: And in each instance, when the rate dropped, revenues from the tax increased; the government took in more money. And in the 1980s, when the tax was increased to 28 percent, the revenues went down.
So why raise it at all, especially given the fact that 100 million people in this country own stock and would be affected?
OBAMA: Well, Charlie, what I’ve said is that I would look at raising the capital gains tax for purposes of fairness.
Just what we need in these fragile economic times — a guy who wants to raise taxes because he thinks it’s a matter of “fairness” and time to “spread the wealth around.”
That will be some incentive for other plumbers who want to work hard and build up a successful business.
But don’t worry - according to Joe Biden, it’s the patriotic thing to do.
Haha! I thought I was the only one who thought he looked
Can't chew gum. Would've if I could've.
Even got hypnotized. Supposedly guaranteed to quit. Lasted 5 hours. Thank heavens I never smoked anything stronger.
I told you what I thought he thought....
and thank you so much for reducing it to "a piece."
That being said, here is link to article from Wall Street Journal about both candidates and outsourcing...Obama is not going to stop it either. He has said on the stump the answer is more highly educated American workers to compete.
It seems to me, and although you may think this is also a "piece," that if you put our corporate tax rates lower, if that corporation is inclined to hire Americans and not outsource then they will do so.
You honestly think the majority of corporations just WANT to outsource and taxes don't matter?
This is funny.nm

So are so funny
LOL, your posts get funnier and funnier..with more hate shining through, LOL.
This is so funny! Thank you.
I copied it and sent it to everyone I know, and they love it, too.
OMG! Too funny!!
Especially the guy who said he was in favor of national healthcare because he works 40 hours a week and his benefits are terrible. Yet he didn't know that Bush doesn't WANT him to have good medical benefits.
The last guy was right on the money (even if he didn't know Bush's name): Bush SHOULD be over there with a gun in his hand since he started this mess.
Someone should point out to these people who can't remember that his name IS what he is: BU_ _ SH _ _!
Vanna... I wanna buy a vowel.
That's funny. No, I am most
Too funny - here's 1 more
Donald Rumsfeld was meeting with George W for their daily brief regarding the war in Iraq. Rumsfeld said to George, And yesterday, 3 Brazilian soldiers were killed in Iraq. Bush is visibly distraught; hanging his head, wringing his hands. He finally looks up at Rumsfeld and says, My God, that's terrible. How many are in a Brazilian?
This is what is funny about this?
They have made up their minds they have got this thing won just like they did in 2004. They don't even entertain the possibility that they will lose. They are so egotistical to think they might even throw the elections to make the Republicans look like fools. This is along the same thought process that they think they won by losing California primaries and losing on Prop. 50.
I think they know they're in trouble, but have chosen to lay their strategy out like they've got things under control. The Democrat blogs are all up in arms about what is happening with the party. Let's just say the extreme left is very unhappy with them right now, and they think the extreme left is their bread and butter. They thought that in 2004 and look where it got them.
Wow, this really shows how screwed up they are, not you dem, but your party.
LOL - too funny.
Too funny. One of the best
http://seattle.nwsource.com/horsey/viewbydate.asp?id=1400 David Horsey from the Seattle Post-Intelligencer and Mike Keefe from The Denver Post consistenly nail it....too good.
It's almost funny to me
How heated this debate has gotten. When I looked at that site I posted, where it compares the current legislation and the proposed legislation, it doesn't look all that different, just more funding so that more children qualify.
Funny that. sm
Yours and one other are the only bad comments about her I have seen. it doesnt' appear to be working.
Too funny
Unfortunately too true.
I don't think it was funny....like I said, if he DID say it...
she should have slapped him silly right there in front of the cameras and everybody. But it IS rumor. It was told, supposedly, by 3 reporters from Arizona to this guy writing a book who has a bone to pick with McCain. As to not coming forward because of fear of retaliation...I don't buy them for a nanosecond. I am sure when this guy went looking for dirt some money crossed hands and a lot of embellishing went on...like any political smear book on any political candidate. When you can't deal with real issues that can be proven or disproven (Read "The Case Against Barack Obama" and you will know what I mean). There is none of the personal smear tactic where innuendo and "anonymous" quotes are used. Just plain simple historical fact that can be proven. THAT is the kind of information I pay attention to. Not the "anonymous" rumor stuff.
Obviously if it DID happen they wish it never happened. Obama wishes someone had not been taping when Wright went off on his rants. Obama wishes no one had checked on his fib about voting against saving babies who survive abortion. McCain wishes he hadn't done the things he did to cause his first marriage to fail. Everyone has regrets.
What about all the rumors and innuendo about Hillary Clinton bathmouthing the secret service people and calling them names every bit as hateful as what the rumor says JOhn McCain called his wife? I just chalked that up to rumor and innuendo because it could not be proven...just like I am doing about the McCain thing.
As to them denying it...why bring more attention to it...ever heard of "I think he doth protest too much?" I don't blame them. I would not dignify the accusation with a denial either.
DO YOU THINK THAT'S FUNNY?????
x
Funny...no.
Sad and pathetic......yes. How can they ban one speaker because of his affair and lies and yet let another man speak who did the exact same thing. The only difference is that Hilliary was not dying when Bill shoved a cigar up Monica's.....well....you get the idea.
Something funny about
the sandbox. Your subject line is a phrase I used a while back when I was on the run from the Bible thumpers. Their fearless leader will be hopelessly confused now that the libs are coming out in droves sporting all kinds of intimidating intelligence. Their heads snap around like Linda Blair in the Exorcist as they spin themselves into the ground and especially when the same phrases and concepts start showing up from all different directions. They really do not know what to do when they can't dominate the board and woop up on one lib at a time...seems to be their limit.
too funny
Yeah and McCain has a biracial love child..........just ask GW, his campaign told everybody the REAL truth. O is a closet muslim (just ask the mental giants on this board!). He eats baby brains for breakfast. He wants to teach kinder-kids the proper way to put on a condom. He's hiding, he's hiding, he's hiding..........but, he hasn't been able to drop a decent deuce since the onset of his campaign because the media is so far up his bum. Bad Obama. Bad, bad, bad. Spank him, spank him hard. Yeah, just like that. And the truth shall set you free.
