If McCain were elected and fell dead, I would hate to see Palin try to run a country with her wild
antics.
Hey! I live in Ohio! I didn't get a free Coke! LOL!

Dee, it is still a free country....
and the Constitution guarantees the right of Christians (or any faith) religious freedom and the right of exercise thereof. Most people want to leave off those last 4 important words. Christians do not take off their faith at the door. It is part of the fabric of our lives and decision making process. If that offends you, I'm sorry. I am a bit offended by people telling me I need to keep God out of posts, keep Him in the closet and let Him out on Sundays. So I guess we will both have to be offended. Have a wonderful day! :-)
Free country...
Exactly, it is a free country. That also means that we, as Christians, should be able to visit the mall, watch a movie with our kids, watch a television show with our family WITHOUT being bombarded with sex at every turn. Why is it that WE must not "go to the mall, watch TV", etc., when this is a free country, founded on Christian principles...founded on the belief in God and Jesus. This is His country, like it or not...and one day He will come back and claim it and His people. Then what will the rest do???
Why not? It's a free country right?
Why not a park bench? Trailers are acceptable. Deplorable houses are acceptable. So what's wrong with a park bench?
Tough. Still a free country. sm
I think people like Bill O'Lielly and Hannity, Limbaugh and Colter should be banned - but atlas - it is still a free country. Ha ha.
How America is a free country of you...
ROFL. Amazing.
Try this....America is a free country....
if mormons want to go to california, why shouldn't they? Code Pink travels all over the country to protest. Mormons shouldn't? SHould they be called retards because they believe differently than someone else? Sounds like more like another country which shall remain nameless.
In a country that is still free for now, we have rights
nm
You must live in another country! Sorry, but the
I was better off, made more money, paid lower taxes, and had more job security during the Clinton Administration than now. Same with all my MT friends & co-workers.
Yes, it IS a free country, and he is an AMerican citizen...
and should have the right to ask a Presidential candidate a question without fear of reprisal. That is not what happened. Just because you don't like him, you don't think he has rights? Do you know what that sounds like? Put on your jackboots and sleeve ornament and stand up for the right to quash any kind of freedom if it doesn't help the big "O." Good grief!! This is ridiculous!
Bottom line: NO ONE forced Obama to answer the question, and NO ONE forced him to give a socialist answer. Is there a part of that that escapes you?
And you must want to live in a socialist country
What part of my message didn't you understand? It was pretty simple. It was Biden's words himself. So let me spell it out for the intellectually challenged (maybe if you read this slowly you might understand it).
1. We don't need the liberals stealing from the american people who have worked hard (the ones who have small business, etc (words of Newt Gingrich).
2. Taking more money from the people who work hard to earn it while not stopping the spending will not help the economy grow.
Most importantly - now read this extra slow so you can understand it.
Stealing money from the american people under the guise of "taxes" while trying to make them believe its their patriotic duty to pay more, when we can hardly afford to live anymore and while government does not stop spending on uneccessary programs is not patriotism - it's socialism.
You do the research. And you say I'm not too bright???
She doesn't have to tell me....good grief, it's a free country...
I just asked. You read all these posts and all you got out of it is that we just insulted each other? :) And you don't have to tell me anything. Just an observation.
Typical, let someone make a decision in a free country..
to support the person he believes is best and his party turns on him like he is a traitor. How can you call yourself Democrats with a straight face?
I am raising my hand...I certainly give a flying frito if someone wants to send this country down the road to a Marxist government. How is that working for Cuba? For Venezuela?
Doesn't anyone know what it will mean for us to live in a socialist country?
While everyone is busy attacking the republicans while crying that everyone is attacking Obama, nobody has answered the question.
You can't even see the end of the nose on your face. Its a fact that democrats have put us economically where we are. Who cares about Bush! He did not vote on the FMFM thing 2 years ago. There are bills signed, records voted on. It is black and white. with Dodd, Franks, and Cox at the top (not to mention Obama). It is undeniable, yet you continue to ignore the facts (plus the democrats had control of the congress). Stop living in the victim state and face the facts.
Still just trying to find out what socialism will mean for us in our daily lives IF Obama is elected. Nobody knows yet if he will be elected or not - especially with the latest news of the swing states finding republican registration cards thrown in the garbage. I don't trust any poll until the day after election (look at the Bush/Gore election). That was close.
Anyway...guess I will have to do some research but not sure where to start.
Baloney, I live in coal country and I should know
Maybe you should look up some statistics from real sources.
Judging by all the twits that live in this country,

Free Sarah Palin! I love this. sm
I love what Campbell Brown said and I don't think you have to be a Dem or Rep to agree. Here is what Campbell had to say last night: (Yes, she is talking to Katie Couric tonight I think, or soon at least but still...)
"Tonight I call on the McCain campaign to stop treating Sarah Palin like she is a delicate flower that will wilt at any moment," said Brown. "This woman is from Alaska for crying out loud. She is strong. She is tough. She is confident. And you claim she is ready to be one heart beat away form the presidency. If that is the case, then end this chauvinistic treatment of her now. Allow her to show her stuff. Allow her to face down those pesky reporters... Let her have a real news conference with real questions. By treating Sarah Palin different from the other candidates in this race, you are not showing her the respect she deserves. Free Sarah Palin. Free her from the chauvinistic chain you are binding her with. Sexism in this campaign must come to an end. Sarah Palin has just as much a right to be a real candidate in this race as the men do. So let her act like one."
And my grandfather died in WWII, defending the country where you live now in freedom (nm)

Vote McCain and Palin! -oh and why does Palin
nm
Don't forget about free broadband, free gas, free healthcare, hey they are "rights" now YIP
xxx
And neither does John McCain. He is cancer free - see link.
http://www.newsweek.com/id/113705
And at least he isn't at risk for lung cancer like Mr. Obama who smokes like a chimney. That is more worrisome to me.
Yes, McCain has made mistakes in what he has said. So has Obama. But at least McCain doesn't associate with radicals and hasn't had communist mentors, and on and on and on.
Palin stating Africa was a country
Even after losing the election, VP candidate Sarah Palin has continued to be in the news for various reasons. Among them was the claim that Palin is so stupid that she thought Africa was a continent, not a country. She was also said to not be able to name the three NAFTA countries. The source: “Unnamed former McCain advisers.”
Makes sense, right? After all, Sarah Palin is your typical simple-minded, non-Ivy-League-educated, baby-making, hick conservative Republican, right? She was John McCain’s middle finger to the American people, right libs?
Well, turns out the whole story is false, a hoax, a scam.
Only this time, one of the guilty parties is Fox News.
Country first/Palin support of Alaska succession=topic.
nm
Yes, and McCain actually sacrificed for his country.
nm
McCain would sacrifice his country with
wanting to war with Iran and Russia. He is absolutely crazy for war, but you rightwingers like fighting, war, death and bloodshed, so he's your man. Might is not always right.
Has McCain really served this country
all his life or has he served himself? I am sick and tired of these career politicians. My opinion is that McCain will be the next Herbert Hoover if he is elected. What Obama will bring if he is elected I do not know but I do know that either politician who is elected, and one will be, they had better be a rocket scientist if they hope to save this country. Again, I'll take a chance on the unknown versus the known. I was going to do a write in for Lou Dobbs but the last few days he has really started to show that he is really a McCain supporter and I have lost a great deal of respect for him and his "telling it like it is" Mr. Independent.
As for Obama's birith certificate, I wish people would get over that. Donchathink if there was anything illegal about it the McCain camp would have ferretted it out? I do. Nothing but stupid rumors. I'm far more worried about Palin's air head than I am about Obama's birth certificate. Not to mention the question of McCain's judgment in selecting her as his running mate, which IMHO he selected her not for the "good of his country" but thinking she would get him elected. What does it say about him that he had only met her once? twice maybe? and really didn't even know her. His first major decision even before he was elected tells a lot about how he would run the country.......business as usual...do what's best for his big business cronies and to he11 with the American people, same ole, same ole.
And for the Democrats..........they don't have such a hot record either, passing the bail-out and trying to ram illegal immigration down the throats of the American people regardless of what the PEOPLE want.
Flame away, I'm in an unusually grouchy mood this morning.
John McCain actually sacrificed for his country.
nm
McCain sounds like he is putting his country first...sm
And Obama probably wishes he would have thought of it first.
I just saw Obama on TV just now, and he sounds rather childish about the whole thing, making accusations. Poor Obama.
He lost out on this one, and now he just plain looks bad. Not very presidential at all, I'm afraid.
How can one doubt that McCain served our country?
Did you miss the part where he was a prisoner of war and served our armed forces? Anyone related to a military member knows that they make less money than their civilian counterparts and, in exchange, get the honor of putting their own lives in danger to serve this country. I am sure that McCain did not want to be a prisoner of war and I can bet that it was not exactly self-serving. If you do not like his politics, fine, but don't cheapen his sacrifices to this country!
Me Too -Go McCain and Palin!
nm
Go McCAIN and PALIN!
nm
And McCain/Palin's could be
;D
McCain and Palin.......
No, I was talkig about "I'll help the poor, needy, and uneducated" Obama. That man is clueless as to what keeps most people poor, and I am NOT talking about those who really try and have fallen on hard times for reasons beyond their control.
I'm talking about the lazy souls that Obama knows will vote for him because they know he will continue the social programs, the free handouts, which will only continue to keep them poor and feeling entitled, with no motivation to do anything else for themselves. He talks a big talk like throwing more money at those kids is going to help their situation. He needs to get with the program...more money won't do a thing to help educate those children. Taking them from parents who are worthless might though, then the child might actually be able to make something of themselves and won't feel entitled and be fooled into those Obama scare tactics of how they NEED the government to take care of them. You better believe, millions will vote for him because they are afraid their monthly check might stop.
McCain/Palin
I think Sarah Palin has a backbone and is very bright. I would much rather see her as president if something happened to McCain than Obama's pick for VP. Now, there you would have some trouble. Personally, the only thing that scares me about Obama, is his wife. She is a shark and cannot be trusted. Of course, none of them REALLY can be trusted. I am just stating my opinion.
McCain/Palin
McCain/Palin
This is why I believe McCain/Palin will win
There are too many "changes" to his plans. His campaign motto is A Change we can believe in. How can we believe in it when he keeps changing it. He's saying and doing anything to get elected and people are gullible enough to believe it. I agree with above posters too.
If McCain/Palin win this election,
another catastrophic attack on US citizens happening not soon after. The rest of the world won't take another GOP leader in the White House lightly, especially our enemies. Hopes for a more peaceful world will be dashed, and you just KNOW that certain parts of the country are going to have what they consider a perfect excuse for another WTC-like attack.
Ladies, this election is far too important to the US and the rest of the world to be voting GENDER. As much as I would love to see a woman in the White House, this is the WRONG WOMAN, and most definitely the WRONG MAN.
We have already begun a downward slide in wealth, power & credibility, and other, much larger nations are on their way up. The warmonger currently in the White House, and those who aspire to follow, should realize that it's no longer so inconceivable that the next major war could end up being fought on OUR soil.
I agree that if McCain/Palin win this one,
Big-time.
I'm a McCain/Palin supporter, sm
And I think it's pretty silly to be focused on this so late in the game. I for one, am a woman and a republican (sigh and a poor one at that) and I for one don't think Obama was calling Palin a "pig", it was just his choice of phrases. Many have used it before.
Yeah, Go McCain and Palin! :)
nm
McCain and Palin supporters
feel the Obama supporters are making a mistake. However, we would not say that we deserve the downfall that will happen with Obama in office. No one deserves that even if you are stupid enough to vote for him!
It is a combo of McCain and Palin, get it? nm
.
Anyone who hates McCain & Palin would think that
Unfortunately it is not true.
McCain/Palin - where's the beef?
McCain/Palin is my ticket
Isn't anybody on our board a Republican besides me? I'm disappointed that McCain didn't start getting tough earlier in his campaign. He doesn't have the charisma and speaking style that Obama has, but I believe that he has what it takes to lead our country. I also think President Bush has done an excellent job.
Oh, okay, McCain and Palin are not moral, but
nm
If McCain/Palin win...heaven help us all! (nm)
:(
Uh, that's McCain/Palin - really do need to get that one straight
There is no such a candidate named McPalin. If so can you tell me what his first name is. Euphemism smeuphemism...there is no such person. Tired of hearing it. Do you hear us saying Obiden, or Obamaden? I would follow your advice if I were you - do try to read a little more.

Me too, and this Independent is voting McCain-Palin.
Was before the speech. Nothing changed. What is great about her is that she is everyperson. You can see her as your neighbor, chatting across the breakfast table. Regular people can identify with her. She is not a member of the "Washington cocktail circuit." She has been there, done that. She is a true reformer...thinks that politicians should not have planes, chefs and chaffeurs on the people's dime. I am tired of elitist politics as usual. I think she will have a very positive effect on Washington.
That being said, she is the #2. McCain has it hands down as far as national security is concerned. He won't tax us into oblivion, which will not help the economy, it will just make it worse. You cannot continue to put ALL the tax burden on the people who provide most of the jobs in this country. That makes absolutely no sense.
He has what she lacks; she has what he lacks. Win-win.
Definitely voting McCain-Palin. THAT is the change you can believe in.
