I truly do not see how

smokers really pay the amount of money that they do. I remember the amount of money my dad smoked through and that was back before prices have skyrocketed since my dad passed away 2 years ago from emphysema.
As for banning people from smoking in public places....I agree with that ban totally. It isn't fair to make non-smokers inhale poisonous smoke. If you want to kill yourself with cigarettes.....more power to you but don't taint the air next to me and my children. I lived in a house with a chain smoker and I watched him die a slow painful death. Only God knows what will become of my health later down the road after being exposed to that smoke most of my life. You say you have a right to smoke anywhere you want.......well nonsmokers have a right to not be poisoned by someone smoking next to them.
I lost my dad to those d@mned things. I can't hardly stand to be around the smoke now. It makes my sinuses clog up and I get the worst headache. Why should I have to suffer through that just because some inconsiderate smoker wants to light up right next to me?
Like I said before, if you want to slowly kill yourself with cigarettes....whatever. That is your life. But don't expose others to your secondhand smoke....that isn't fair.
