I really do not believe

that "coming clean" will make other countries like us more or cooperate with us more.  I think that is wishful thinking.  It will take a larger time frame to gain their trust and better opinion of us if they think ill of us in the first place.  Besides, how is coming clean about whether or not we tortured terrorists going to make people like us more.  Aren't these other countries like Iraq, Afghan, and Pakistan being bullied and blown up by terrorists as well?  Why would they care how we treat them?
