I am ashamed to say that this is the first time in my life I have really paid attention to the election process, and I just wonder, is it always this hateful and spiteful and full of rumors and outright lies - putting each other down and name calling and being just downright rude to people about their opinions?
Is it just because everyone has their own opinions about how this country could be best served or is the hatefulness and bitterness coming from the fact that we have a black man running for president, or that we have a beautiful woman on the ticket, or that we have so many negatives in our lives right now that we really don't believe that it can be fixed?
I love my country, but I'll be darned if right now I am not ashamed of its people and the way they are acting!
