in Alaska and in our oceans is only a temporary fix.  But it will at least help until we can get a better solution to our energy problem here.  That is if government continues to search for alternative fuel sources instead of calling it quits when we drill for our own oil. 

As for the war, it is costing us a butt load of money and we can't continue this forever.  However, in watching a program on terrorists and the attacks on the USA, I realized that there was a pattern of terrorist attacks on us that were not handled well by the government and that stemmed all the way back to Reagan all the way to G. W.  Granted, they weren't as huge of attacks as 9/11 but they still happened.  We had to do something.  We had to show terrorists that we would not take their crap.  They were bullying us by terrorist acts.  If you keep backing down from a bully....they will continue to bully.  You stand up to them....they back off.  I truly believe that was the whole point of going to war.  The surge has worked.  Now is the time to slowly pull back so we can stop the spending there.  If we had sent more troops there to begin with, I think the surge would have been more successful sooner and that is one thing McCain pushed for was more troops.  Obama was totally against it and said it would fail.  Well....the surge did not fail.  Obama's government plans,  however, WILL fail.

1.  Sarah's socialism is fine and dandy for Alaska:  "...and Alaska - we're set up, UNLIKE other states in the union, where it's collectively Alaskans own the resources. 2.  She agrees with Obama's windfall profits concept...a windfall profit, by any other name, is...well, a windfall profit.

3.  Sarah is a hypocrite.

4.  Sarah can articulate the shrub's oil policies even more precisely that her running mate.

My, must be nice. Trying to pass a bill for clean energy and who is going to profit from this? T. Boone Pickens owns Clean Energy Fuels. Nancy and her husband bought #50K-$100K worth of stock in May 2007. No wonder she's pushing it. It means a fortune for her.

Another site states her husband bought the shares alone, but she lives in CA where it's share and share alike.

Read, listen, and weep.  Right from his own mouth.  He now states this 2 days before election.  No wonder he wanted earlier voters.  He did say he needs to kill people's expectations if him being president.  No kidding.  Sorry you ya, I will be blaming the one's who vote for O for this.  This guy is CRAZY.  He FREAKS ME OUT.  There is something not right with him and this whole picture and his motive.  He says that is why we should have energy efficient lightbulbs and efficient appliances to help with the skyrocket of electricity?

When did Lindsey Graham suddenly become liberal?  I believe he was a former JAG and is totally against Bush's torture techniques and military tribunals.

And when GENERAL Colin Powell says something, I put much more credence in what he has to say than in a bumbling authoritarian idiot who never had the guts to set one foot on foreign soil to serve his country. 

Bush talks about the professionals, yet he refuses to listen to any of them.  And the faithful Bush disciples don't even care that the torture Bush wants will come back on OUR troops, the same troops they claim to support so much, leaving them susceptible to the very same treatment. 

Have you noticed how many Republicans are starting to stand up and do the right thing?  And have you noticed how angry Bush is becoming in press conferences and interviews?  (I thought the was going to hit Matt Lauer the other day.)

Bush's temper is definitely about to explode, and he doesn't look like a very stable person.  Elections are less than 2 months away, and if the Republicans lose control, Bush is finally going to have to be accountable to the country.  He's getting angrier and I think he's beginning to panic.
