But I do know that 1 of them referred to an Anchorage newspaper article at the time of when it happened; I don't think it was like a recent article in the Anchorage paper. I am terrible, I read stuff and try to get it all straight and forget to write down or take note of where I saw it, but I will look for it again later when I am done working.

**As far as *bad language* is concerned, I think I'd rather be told the truth by someone who curses like a sailor than to be lied to repeatedly by someone hiding behind a Bible.**
I have to agree with you 200% on that. I'm in search of a new church home for this very reason.
As far as Lila, I'm squashing it, tomorrow is a new day.
Every religion has it nuts...remember 9-11? Just checking.
By the way...calling yourself Christian does not make you one.
PS to where's sam/web sites
I realize I'll get bomb-throwers, but I could care less. I will probably just ignore it. These people are literally drunk on Kool-Aid!
There are other forums for overall conservative thinkers. If you go to activitypit.com, it's for RedEye fans (like me). The show itself is very funny in my opinion. Of course, they do have some libs on there, but they don't behave anywhere near like these people. I've become very good friends with a couple people from there. I found out one of them lives in the same city as me. Talk about a small world! Here are a couple links from RedEye's Activity Pit:

Another thing many don't know is that The History Channel is owned/run by libs, so watch with caution. I personally prefer War Stories with Oliver North on FNC. Tammy Bruce was formerly president (or whatever they call it) of NOW, but not now. She has a very interesting story to tell about their ways of doing business. I wonder if any libs will look into this. And imagine this, a conservative lesbian!

Thanks for the links.
There are also other far more credible sites...sm
which give valid information as to why it is not real.
The whole point to this, GP, is not JUST the birth certificate. This plays into a much larger picture in which Obama appears to be unqualified in terms of foreign policy and experienced in so many other areas. It has to do with past associations and shady current assoociations, who is backing him, how he rose through the ranks so quickly, some if not all of his campaign platform and plans for this country, some of the statements he has made that sound positively socialist if not marxist and the way the American people have been so capitivated by him. It's not even about McCain being POTUS because I can tell you that, even though I voted for him, I have some doubts about him just as you do about Obama. It is about the safety of our nation, laws being upheld on EVERY level (yeah, I know all about Bush, this isn't about him) and the future of our nation. The BC is just the tip of the iceberg.
There are two sites I checkout
Snopes - which is liberal and Truth or Fiction which is conservative. I figure if I check out both sites I've got it covered.
You avoid the nutball sites? LOL. nm
nm
Oops - your are correct - there are two sites
I had his website saved in my favorites, and that is the one it took me too. When I googled McCains name I saw the one you mentioned (plus I clicked on your link to make sure I wasn't getting different things).
The website I listed has been the official website for a long time. I was even on there just the other day. This is a new one. However, it's still a positive message. Compares the differences between the two without candidates without lying about Obama and has a buttons to the side with different links. Still nothing negative. I don't see anything regarding his family, which is fine, I'm not voting for that reason. I'm voting for what he will do for our country and how he will help us to prosper and be a great nation again. Pretty positive message there.
Again I commend her daughter for getting involved in politics. Always good to know both sides, what each politicians policies are. How they have voted in the past, what they have done in their careers and their experience (or if they even have expereince). It's great for kids to know both sides. Even greater if they learn about the other candidates too like the Independent, Constitution, Green, etc. There are more than just two parties. I'd actually like to see the Republican and Democratic party done away with. They have BOTH done a lot of damage. Especially these past couple years have just gotten worse and worse.
ok...will keep checking myself. Thanks! nm

I am checking you..
I read your posts. You sound very nice. But you also sound almost apologetic for putting down your beliefs! You have a responsibility to clearly teach the unsaved Jesus' message of eternal life. Your passivity may be what is needed for this day in age, but that is not what God called for. Yes, we are supposed to show love, yes we are supposed to be caring. He did not say be tolerant of someone elses god or beliefs. He said we should have no other god before him. You telling the unsaved that it is okay to have their beliefs in other things is NOT okay. There are consequences for this. This is for real. If you sugar coat everything, it takes away the real necessity of what is needed to be done. It is NOT okay to believe any other god but God Almight and his son Jesus Christ. Jesus was NEVER tolerant of that in the Bible. And telling someone the consequences of h*ll and just saying that straight out, is not coming across wrong in God's eyes. It is just wrong in this modern world where tolerance is supposed to be the number one rule. God destroyed whole cities over idolatry and sinful desires. Was that tolerance? I read your messages and I dont see where you outline to anyone who is not saved the consequences or the way to get saved. I just see your beliefs. They are not just your beliefs, they are GOD'S RULES.
Just checking
if...

It has been noted as a casual aside on many search sites......
That the mega-wealthy are trying to "hide" their wealth. Clothing catalogs for the rich are pushing "dressing down." Those fancy cars are getting garage duty. They did the same thing during the depression - no one drove their Duesenberg (sp?), i.e., "made to order" cars. They can sit out decades in relative comfort, they have high-tech security on their homes. Wouldn't it suck if we didn't dare venture out of our homes? What kind of "freedom" is that!!!!
Your exact words....

It was someone else below. So sorry.
Next we will be checking the political....
affiliation of serial killers. Sigh. What do you think Osama bin Laden would register as if he could register to vote....ummmm....don't think it would be with the Christian right.....? Are we going to try to list the perverts and see whose list is the longest? Why even post this, when you have cigar-wielding Bill Clinton on your list? Do you honestly think this man in the bathroom did what he did because he is a Republican? If so, that means Billy must have wielded the cigar because he is a Democrat....?
I repeat...why even post this?
Thanks for checking out the site
with an open mind. If he's not your cup of tea, I know it's not easy to plow through a site like that. I had a hard time becoming familiar with McCain's site before the election, but I did manage to keep myself on there long enough to correct some wrong impressions I had about him from hanging around the lefties too long.
I logged in and made it through about 250 votes on questions and gave the civil, even-handed questions about Blagojevich a thumbs up, but some of them (and ones on other subjects as well) were just plain disingenuous.
Hey sam....glad to see you, but I'm still checking out....have to...sm

And the whole Greta series this week has been great on Alaska and all the people who know her. We went to Alaska for our honeymoon in 2000, and went through Wasilla....it was a beautiful place, and great people....Real people....No wonder Sarah is such a gem!

Your post sounds like you were reading my mind and posting it here! I am clueless now. My husband's not even voting. This back and forth is driving me nuts. I really don't know who to believe.
As for the exact nature
find them described in detail in the Blueprint for Change. Don't you find all that pessimism and fright exhausting? Give yourself a break and try to simply beleive that things can and will get better. Just how secure do you feel right at this moment in terms of the economy after 8 long years of clueless leadership?
The exact point is
as you said.......only 2 posters besides myself had anything to say as to what they would do but there is about a mile of posts going right back to the old Republican/Democrat posts that are really wearing thin......not an iota of substance to any of them.
More fact checking.....
Transcript from CNN last night:
FOREMAN (voice-over): A tax cut for every working family with less than $250,000 a year in income, tax incentives for businesses to create jobs, investing $15 billion a year in green energy, on it goes.
The biggest question that economic and tax analysts have raised, over and over, how will he pay for all this, without ballooning the deficit? Obama still did not give an answer.
In the same vein, he once again said he is going to save an average American family $2,500 a year on health care. Health care experts widely say, that is misleading. They do not believe his plan will produce such savings.
And one more quick item -- he said, we can create schools that work. And he had an example.
B. OBAMA: Three years ago, only half the high school seniors at the Mapleton School in Thornton, Colorado, were accepted to college. But, after a rigorous school reform program, this year, all 44 seniors were accepted.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
COOPER: Tom, it sounds like a great school. What is wrong with that?
FOREMAN: Well, it is a great -- that is a great school, Anderson. It sounds wonderful.
"Keeping Them Honest," there is something he did not mention. The revolutionary changes at Mapleton School were financed by Microsoft billionaire Bill Gates and his wife. And, of course, Obama cannot promise that kind of support to every school in the country. It is right there on the school's Web site. You can see it easily. He presented it as if this were simply a reform in a school that worked really well.
It was a heck of a reform. It cost a lot, and it can't necessarily be replicated everywhere -- Anderson.
COOPER: All right. Tom Foreman, "Keeping Them Honest." Thanks, Tom.

Checking adoption records
I agree. I think the media is way out of line with that. Judge Roberts and his wife should be commended and respected for having the love and compassion in their hearts to adopt these children.
The more I see of him, the more respect I have for him and the more I like him.
25 million people to be exact
be afraid, be very afraid. It's the vast right wing conspiracy. Boo!
I am sure while you were checking on how many posts I made...
you also noticed that every post I made was in reply to a post made by a liberal poster. That is not domination. And yes, I am certain my main purpose for coming here was to learn other points of view, and why people the way they feel. I cannot know that if I do not ask, and counter.
I made a simple post stating I would respect the request of two posters not to make them *defend* their positions (their words, not mine). And look how quickly I was attacked for that, in a very childish manner. We do not always agree with each other on the conservative board but generally it does not disintegrate into *get out of my sandbox if you don't want to play MY game MY way." The attack on me on the first post was the very definition of trolling, it was baiting and wanting to start a fight. And when attacked, I respond. Simple as that.
If men checking out women's butts ....
means they are not qualified to be President...take out the whole male race. Sheesh.
And you could have been a little less crude in your description.
Being led by his anatomy didn't seem to bother Clinton's ability to govern. Multiple affairs including one in the white house, but many Democrats think he was the second coming.
If Slick Willie could do it, I have no problem believing McCain could.
JFK had affairs. RFK had affairs. Why don't we just go down a tick list? Where was all the righteous indignation then?
Doing spell checking on others can get you thrown off
I don't use spell check here and I definitely do not correct other's errors, see them all the time but know better than to do for the above reason. When you pay my check, then take note of any errors, ok?
I was going to post the exact same thing...
Absolutely President Bush had to justify everything he did no matter what it was. Same goes for Barry.
No thanks!. Was just checking on the kids room.
nm
Geez....I repeat....Clinton had the exact same...
intelligence that Bush had...Bush inherited most of it from the CLinton administration along with Richard Clarke and George Tenet...and all the democrats were on board for it then, believed it then, LONG before Bush took office. That is fact. So if Bush lied, it is because Clinton lied first and Bush believed him. And one air force colonel is not going to change my mind on this. Do you have any sources but this colonel's book?
It is not weapons grade uranium, correct...yet. But it certainly could be enriched. Don't tell me Saddam kept 500 metric tons for peaceful purposes?
As far as the niger/yellowcake thing...Plame and her husband were right in the middle of that, and she claimed and it is documented that there was no evidence of yellowcake in Iraq at that time. Which we know is a lie, because they just exported 500 metric tons of it last week. So please...I don't buy what the Colonel is selling. You can if you like.
I do not dispute that abortion is legal in this country. I do dispute that the Supreme Court has the write to strike down a perfectly good state law and replace it with an "opinion." If you will check the constitution, it says only the congress can enact law. Not the Supreme court. Issue an opinion, yes. Strike down a law and replace it with the opinion of activist judges...no. It is unconstitutional and should be struck down. But then it would have to go to Congress to be voted into law, and so far congress has not been willing to legislate abortion. So activist judges did. They imposed their will on all of us. That is unconstitutional no matter how you look at it. Suppose conservative judges overturned Rowe vs. Wade, the same as liberal activist judges overturned the state law prohibiting abortion? Would you be as strongly behind that decision or would you be screaming you can't legislate from the bench like I am? LOL.
What is fact that in poll after poll after poll, over 50% of this country are against abortion. Those activist judges took the will of the people and said, basically, up yours, and forced their opinion on all of us. Unconstitutional, unfair, and so much for the majority will of the people.
You are right, it is not my choice. You speak for the right of the mother to choose, I speak for the right of the child to live...and I feel has as much right to life as any human being. Period. And I will fight for it, through legal channels, and hope that some day we may have a conservative majority to overturn Roe Vs. Wade and then put the question on state ballots where it belongs. Let the people decide, because Congress will not touch it with a 10-foot pole.
Geez, listen to ya. Morality is already legislated. We have laws against murder. We have laws against theft. We have laws against pornography. We have laws against child molestation. We have laws against rape. Hellooo....legislating morality. And you better be glad we DO legislate morality. What a statement...we can legislate morality when the American theocracy is established. Good grief!!! If it is all about choice, then why can't we choose to just take whatever we want, no matter who owns it. Why can't we just shoot people who annoy us or get in our way or hurt us. Why can't NAMBLA just grab up all the little boys they want? Because we legislate morality...that's why.
Good grief, we have laws against cruelty to animals, but it is okay to murder millions of babies in the name of "choice." Perhaps that all works in your mind...does not in mine.
As to Bush's contempt
He denies it for the exact reason the interviewer said...
it is a basic tenet of socialism. They want socialism, they just don't want to say it out loud. And Obama is gifted at it. He taught the Alinksy course while he was doing his community organizing. It is patently obvious to most of us, but not to the ones he is pointing it at. He is not pointing it at us...he knows we know better. He is pointing it at his faithful and hoping there are enough of them buying into it to get him in the white house where he can go about his business of turning the US into a socialist state.
You heard him state those exact words? He has
nm
Pay attention. Said the exact opposite of what BT implies.

I am hearing the exact opposite about unemployment
I think what you have posted is absolute rubbish, scare tactics once again. I am hearing not just on the local news but national news about the work situation picking up. I think most repubs are literally cringing inside seeing just what a good job Obama is doing. I just heard from my husband yesterday his job has posting on the board his company is buying 2 additional companies which means more employees, heard about a company in the state building new plant that will hire about 600 people. Like I said, rubbish.
and I made that exact statement in several posts -
but, as I also stated, I do not think it would be awful to have mandatory service for this country in some form. Ya'll can get mad all you want to, but the rich benefit just as much as anybody else, but when it comes time to stand up for this country and defend it and keep it, they hide behind their money, their schooling, anything to keep from serving, so therefore only the poor people are ever at risk.
If you know some good democratic blog sites, please respond to this post with the links. nm

The exact quote is "What a terrible thing to
have lost one's mind, or not to have a mind at all. How true that is.".....Dan Quayle If you Google Dan Quayle, there are more quotes made by him which are very funny. Amazing how Americans form their decisions to vote for these people.
His exact quote was "Last week, they released
techniques and that was clearly a political decision and ignored the advice of their Director of National Intelligence and their CIA director".

Nuff said.
I agree. This is the exact reason why Colin Powell wouldn't run..sm
He didn't want his privacy or his entire family's personal life to be dug up and exploited by the media. He got a lot of respect from me when he chose to protect what was the most important to him...family.
Funny i heard the exact same line from the Obama campaign spokespeople...
this morning. Almost word for word. I would think being endorsed by an outfit under investigation for voter fraud in 10-12 and more states every day would not be a good thing...but that's just me.
Well as far as voter fraud my friend...so far it is all ACORN all the time, and ACORN is not registering Republicans. For a supposedly "neutral" voter organization....kinda tells the tale, don't you think?
I heard 1 time during this entire cycle about possible Republican voter fraud and that was on the part of 1 man. This is a coordinated, organized effort to steal an election.
Excuse me...in Ohio they registered and voted in a single day so there HAVE been votes cast. And when law enforcement investigates or indicts on voter fraud...they are pretty sure fraud occurred. ACORN has even owned up to the fact that yes, there will be fraud, but they can't monitor the people they hired (felons on work release in one state) and can't check every registration.
Obama DOES have a relationship with them. He spoke at their convention last year. He worked with them on Project Vote and helped train the folks going out to register.
Give him a pass, I don't care. Just don't call people cowardly or hate filled because they aren't on the Obama train. That makes you look hate-filled and cowardly...same thing you accuse others of.
If checking the adoption records is part of the normal background check, then the only reason this i

tricky d!ck. He lost the election when he appeared at the first television debate against JFK, slam dunk! He was a very crafty, evil man in my opinion and the latest news reinforces my opinion even more. It was so interesting that he eventually did become president years later and proved to be a disgrace to the presidency.
Just remember
"the South don't need you around anyhow..." from Lynard Synard "Sweet Home Alabama"
we each remember what
we value most. I will remember the years of prosperity and delight of having such an intelligent, charismatic leader. You can remember the blow jobs if you wish. I rarely think about JFK in the WH pool with bimbos, because he was so much more than that. Just a helpful hint.
