I don't think any of us need a lecture on Christian belief systems and the Bible. We should ALL be concerned, interested and knowledgable about what is happening in Israel. I seriously do not understand where you are coming from at all. Your placating tone reminds me of a mother comforting a child who has just gotten a boo boo. If you don't want to be concerned about Israel and what is happening, fine, don't join in the discussion, but to say that Americans, most especially Christian Americans, have no need to worry their little heads is not only bizarre, it is insulting.

I'm much more concerned
about Obama saying that he had visited 57 states in the US. LOL! Sorry pal.....there aren't that many states in the good ole US of A. Personally, I think that is much worse considering that is our own country compared to a man who doesn't know who the prime minister is of another country.

So are you saying that you don't think there's any involvement with these men in the last 10 years (or less)? If so, you'll be in for a huge surprise as more info comes out. Frankly, I'm amazed at how lethargic the public has been, just accepting anything the driveby media reports (more like FAILS to report)!

The frenzy that has come about through all of this is like regressing us back to the 50s, and there are a lot of crazies out there that might be thinking about vigilante-style retribution -- on either side depending on who wins. I believe we might be in for some trying times. Be safe.
As far as I'm concerned
it's all in the definition of "brother" and "sister." My brothers and sisters are those I see in need, not necessarily my biological brothers and sisters. I haven't heard Obama (or McCain for that matter) describe who they consider their "brothers" and "sisters."

Is anyone else here concerned about
the control the unions are getting. I know unions contribute to democrats, but the very idea of the Obama administration allowing the unions to have so much during Chrysler's bankruptcy....which isn't the way it should be at all. Obama has literally blown off everyone to make the unions have more control and make money. Now in CA we have the White House telling CA that they cannot cut union wages or they will lose their stimulus money. I just don't see how this doesn't concern people on here. Our government is out of control. I don't know that I agree with Obama wanting unemployment to go up. However, I have to wonder if Obama really cares about what he is doing here. Cap and trade will cut more jobs. Going green will create jobs initially but they won't sustain them. All of these construction jobs and infrastructure jobs he will create aren't sustainable. What happens when the job is done? People are out of work again.
Our government is out of control, unions are gaining more and more control.......I just don't like the way this is heading.

other countries are laughing at us, how our government is spending us into the ground without batting an eyelash about it, how we are more concerned about the treatment of terrorists than we are the potential danger we could put our troops in by showing these memos, etc., how terrorist think we are weak and they continue to hate us no matter whether we torture them or not.
Call me names all you like, but I do believe that Bush and Cheney did what they did to try to obtain information to save American lives. This isn't like T-ball where everyone gets a trophy in the end and there are no winners or losers. This is war.....get a clue!
Racism
Racism does not have to be whites not accepting blacks. It can also be blacks not accepting whites. And that does happen. I would not approve of anybody that was trying to be a leader of this great country siding with one or the other. They need to accept both blacks and whites. Obviously, Obama does not think that way. So what, if he was a teen when he wrote these books. They should never have been published if he does not agree with what is in them.
All this mess that is going on now did not start with George Bush. Congress controls this country, with the president having veto power. The Dems have been in power insofar as Congress goes for the last two years. But it started even before then.
Wake up, America! You think with all our news media announcing to the world what we are getting ready to do that if Iraq had WMD they would not have known what was going on over here and what our plans were and most likely would have moved the WMD to another country.

Racism
Will racism play a major roll in this election? You betcha. However, you cannot say that people not voting for Obama are racist. Some of them are, but not all of them. How many Obama supporters are voting for him just because he is black? Probably a heck of a lot....so you have racism on both sides here.
Yesterday someone posted and used Barrack Obama's middle name and they were called racist for doing so. I do not see how this is racist. It is the man's name. How can someone be racist for calling him by his name?
I seriously am tired of people playing the race card. Yes, racism is out there and it will play a part in this election but that most definitely goes on both sides. You have your wacko people yelling "kill him" at a McCain rally. The media tried to say it happened again at a Palin rally, but that is untrue. It was only yelled during a McCain speech. That was wrong and crazy people like that are way out of line. They are also giving good people who are McCain supporters bad names. Then you have Obama's supporters. There are many good people who are on Obama's side and yet there are those crazy wack jobs on his side as well who are only voting for him because he IS black and most certainly will be screaming racism if Obama should lose.
Both sides are guilty of racism. Some are afraid of the crazy people yelling "kill him" and others are afraid of crazy Obama supporters rioting if he should lose. It goes both ways. So stop blaming one side or the other. They both have nut job racists. I'm just tired of hearing about this.

I can't help but wish that everyone making less than $50,000 a year who opposes Obama would take a few moments to sit quietly and really question him/herself about the racial question. If those folks were honest with themselves, really honest, I bet they'd be quite surprised. I can't think of any other reason why folks making $50,000 or less (much less) a year would support the Republicans, just simple racism.

And white folks haven't been raising their children to judge people by the color of their skin since, well, way back before Jim Crow--and DON'T get me started on Jim Crow. If you are really concerned about fairness -
I don't understand you folks. I am very concerned about the military having their say in the voting process - I have a son in the military and I want his vote counted (even though he voted for McCain), I have an exhusband in Iraq (who I am sure would not waste his time voting for anybody), but I want their votes counted; however, if you want to be fair then even the homeless people "who do not contribute anything" have the right to vote. Being homeless does not take away their basic rights in this country. You are all talking about how Obama is going to take away this, or take away that, or do this, or do that to the people, but now you are advocating not letting a homeless person vote becaues they don't have a permanent address.
You know what, I have come close to being homeless several times in my life due to unfortunate situations - one of those time when my husband was a SOLDIER and the Army did not pay us for a whole month - and I don't think that homeless people are the scum of the earth and should just be discounted. Any one of us could find ourselves right there on that park bench beside them at any time. If the United States were a better place, then we would not have homeless people sitting on those benches anyway!
I cannot believe the lack of compassion that people in the United States are now showing toward their fellow countrymen!

Why wasn't he getting all his federall funded citizens out of NO? Louisiana has always been a state of corruption much like Illinois and until their citizens demand better, they won't get it! The government wants to shut down a doctor's business because he is charging a flat-fee service. He has more than 7000 patients!!! 50 of them are enrolled in a flat-fee service with him where he charges $79.00 a month and they can come see him as much as they want. He has gotten rid of all the paperwork, all EMR, and has cut ALL the waste.............AND THE GOVERNMENT SAYS NO?! Crap on that!

On June 28 2007 a young black defendant Mychal Bell was found guilty of aggravated assault against a young white man by an all white jury despite conflicting testimony from witnesses.
His defense lawyer was incompetent at the very least and didn't even call the only adult to witness what happened to the stand. This man's testimony could have concievably blown the prosecuters case out of the water.
Originally the prosecuter tryed to charge Mychal and others with attempted murder for being involved in what was basically a fight and only backed off because of a worlwide public out cry. read the creed for Obama's church...and read some of his pastor mentor's sermons...and some of the speeches and quotes of their friend Louis Farrakhan. That, my friend, is the very definition of racism. When you read the creed of the church, substitute the word "white" everywhere the word "black" is used and tell me it is not racist. The point was that if you are preaching change, and you pick the guy who has been a senator for 30-some years and may not LIVE in DC but is certainly part of the DC establishment...that is not change, it is picking "vanilla" meaning generic, and Joe Biden is definitely a generic DC liberal. Definitely not a change from DC politics...which is exactly opposite from what Obama has been saying he wanted to do..get away from politics as usual in DC.

It is not offshoring that makes cars more expensive...it is out of control labor unions, who, go figure, want Obama elected. When labor unions get their sweetheart contracts, the company has to raise prices on cars to make a living...and who gets shafted? Yeah, us.
You think it is fair to tax businesses who employ folks more and turn that into a check for people who will not get out and work for a living like the rest of us. I would hate to think I was voting for someone who was for punishing hard work and rewarding the opposite. Handouts do NOT incentivize people to get out of the lower income classes. It incentivizes them to STAY there and let the government take care of them. Pretty soon you have only the well off at one end and the low income at the other end...and the middle class disappears forever. Hello socialism 101. They now have ya just where they want ya.
