I'm so tired of trying to make a living but betwen the state and federal government taking it all away when we get finally get near the top of things I really, really get nasty sometimes. My grandchildren and great-grandchildren will be paying for what we could not stop; i.e., stimuls, TARP, and everything else coming down the pike, and I don't think any of it is right. I feel our country is down the tubes and there is no getting out of it. I hope I am wrong, but between the state and federal government and what they are creating, they will take, or try to take, everything we all worked hard to achieve.  Big Brother has come to the USA even if it did take more than 25 years. You all know this country is going down but what, really, is anyone doing to stop it? Not much, because we are not a unified body, and unless we do band together and try, we are doomed. JMHO

FOREMAN (voice-over): A tax cut for every working family with less than $250,000 a year in income, tax incentives for businesses to create jobs, investing $15 billion a year in green energy, on it goes.

The biggest question that economic and tax analysts have raised, over and over, how will he pay for all this, without ballooning the deficit? Obama still did not give an answer.

In the same vein, he once again said he is going to save an average American family $2,500 a year on health care. Health care experts widely say, that is misleading. They do not believe his plan will produce such savings.

And one more quick item -- he said, we can create schools that work. And he had an example.

B. OBAMA: Three years ago, only half the high school seniors at the Mapleton School in Thornton, Colorado, were accepted to college. But, after a rigorous school reform program, this year, all 44 seniors were accepted.

"Keeping Them Honest," there is something he did not mention. The revolutionary changes at Mapleton School were financed by Microsoft billionaire Bill Gates and his wife. And, of course, Obama cannot promise that kind of support to every school in the country. It is right there on the school's Web site. You can see it easily. He presented it as if this were simply a reform in a school that worked really well.

It was a heck of a reform. It cost a lot, and it can't necessarily be replicated everywhere -- Anderson.

I agree.  I think the media is way out of line with that.  Judge Roberts and his wife should be commended and respected for having the love and compassion in their hearts to adopt these children.

The more I see of him, the more respect I have for him and the more I like him.

decision without thinking about all she might miss with her kids.  My mom was at a lot of the things I did in school.  However, my dad was at work.  He was supporting his family by making a living.  He was making our situation better by working that overtime so we could afford stuff.  Would I have liked my dad to be at my tennis match.....sure.  But the reality is that even though he wasn't there watching, he still was literally the one supporting me and I appreciated and loved him for that.

As for Palin, did you ever think that maybe....just maybe she is willing to sacrifice time with her kids to make a better country for them as well as all of us?  Have they asked Obama about sacrificing time with his kids?  No....because we all just assume Michelle will take care of the kids. 

I really do believe that, at least as far as the crazy/psycho/nasty ones.  But they are so darn hard to ignore!!!  I'm going to try, though, starting now.

There will always be folks who disagree with the president and complain - that's the magnificance of living in a democracy.He appears to me to be the first in a long, long time who sought the office to improve our lives rather than just gain political power.

Transparent projection.  Suck it up and enjoy the next 4 years, y'all.  Absolutely nothing you can do or say to change the fact that the country has changed and is moving in a new direction. The republican philosophy has been soundly and firmly rejected.

And, yes, those dang whacko liberals like Robert F. Kennedy and those of his ilk should be ashamed of themselves for connecting the presence of thimerosal in vaccines and resultant autism and attempting to STOP it.  Who cares about the children who are already here?  The most important thing is that we make sure not to hurt those inanimate cells in a petrie dish.

And, yes, it's certainly has been proven that there can be side effects associated with the smallpox vaccine where a small percentage of people might get sick and die.  We COULD maybe let the people CHOOSE whether they want the vaccine or not (if enough of it ever actually EXISTED to protect the entire country), but, no, free choice isn't a very "red" thing to do.  So the only logical thing to do is make sure that we deny the vaccine to all Americans so we can ALL die if terrorists decide to use that as a form of bio warfare. (By the way, I truly doubt that lawsuits will be much of an issue if we're all DEAD.)

Right?  I mean, you "red" guys know what should be allowed and denied in the life of every single American, don't you?  You've got some kind of special "divine knowledge" where you know what I should be "allowed" to do with my own personal body, who I'm "allowed" to love, how I'm "allowed" to plan my family, when I decide I'm "allowed" to die, and which God I'm "allowed" to worship without being doomed to eternal damnation?
