What other substance on the planet that when even used in moderation will nearly 100% of the time cause users to suffer health issues to some degree? Watched my mother die at 56 practically with a cigarette in her hand until the very end. I am now watching my BIL and SIL smoke themselves into an early grave. My BIL used to be a good-looking man before he started smoking at the age of 25. He now looks at least 60 (he is 45), has numerous missing teeth, has chronic nasal congestion, a cough, can barely walk across the room without coughing, and is still smoking 3-4 packs a day in between working a full-time job somehow. He told me he enjoys smoking but that it consumes his every waking thought. SIL is not much better. It has gotten to where we cannot do a single activity or even dinner with them because their cigarettes get in the way and we refuse to breathe their smoke. I am so very sad.
