or inherits it, like the current recession/impending depression, you guys'll find a way to blame him for it.
Although I support him, I do feel that the problem has gained so much momentum that the bailout is going to fail. The only real question will be which is worse, just letting natural economics takes their course, or deal with the mess of paying for a bailout. I think we lose either way, and it won't be O's fault. He's just trying to slow the freefall a little bit, but he's unfortunately coming into office a bit too late, after the real damage has been done.
If the country doesn't get rid of the TRUE causes, evil CEOs like that Madoff guy, and the Golden Parachute Clubs all over the country, it will be like only removing half of a malignant cancer. It'll return with a vengeance.
I don't get what all this 'martial law' fear you express is all about, but if you want that to be your boogeyman, then so be it. I guess you didn't hear that the Dub came close to a deal with the oil companies that would have permanently fouled some of the western United States' national parks. Luckily some quick moves by environmentalists got that put on a back burner - for now anyway.
Oh, and by the way - as of now, it's only about 10 1/2 more days. Hopefully our new government will see fit to try Dubya in court for his crimes, and put him and all the Wall Street jocks behind bars where they belong.
