And please read all of it. The word "offshoot" simply means an organization run by ACORN, whereby they make sure the actual name ACORN is not in the title but they oversee the group. Funny, how suddenly Obama is going to "amend" his report. Ya know what amend means.....fix what he lied about in the first place. He covered up the fact that he did this by trying to hide his involvement with the group. Now that he has been caught, oops, they somehow overlooked that and are now trying to "amend" their report. This guy is involved with more corrupt groups that will no doubt continue to come out over time.

And please don't try to smooth over the facts by pointing out the little blurb about McCain. We all know what's really going on here. If the man can't get voted in fair and square, he'll lie his way into office.
Even the election offices in the states where this is happening are yellling loudly that they are receiving voter registration forms that are very obvious to them to be fraudulent. This accusation is being made by democrats alike, not just repubs.

Iran diplomacy leaves no room for a screw up. First impressions with them will go a long way, so they probably ought to keep VP Gaffe sidelined and come with some new guy on the block who believes in miracles.

They say Fair and Balanced but they definitely are more conservative and Sean Hannity really gets on my nerves something awful. He's about as condescening as Rush and treats guests who are liberals as though they are less intelligent than he is.
When I am in favor of conservative viewpoint I will watch them, and when I am in favor of liberal viewpoints I will go to another channel. Never CNN because they praise the Clintons too much. Most of the time I watch MSNBC even though they are more liberal, but at least they are fair and civil to conservatives.
So I give Fox some credit.
I'll give him my respect for serving but not my vote...no one owes him that. nm

The oil execs, the oil field workers, the gas and oil distributors, the gas station owners, and several ancillary industries do benefit from the higher gas prices. I have a friend who is a consultant in the oil industry at the production level. He was clearing 5 figures a month prior to the reduction in gas prices but has been out of work for the past 6 weeks or so. Granted, he does have a nice little nest egg on which to coast for a while, but he is still a consumer and still is affected by the reduction in oil prices.
I'm not trying to justify the rise in gas prices as being right because it does bring work to a certain sector of the work force, but rather I am just saying that in the oil industry, as with any area of the work force, what may benefit them may not benefit all people. So it will also be with Obama's stimulus package. What puts money in your pocket, for example, may not help me at all or may even adversely affect me.
O will cut taxes for 95% to benefit WC families.
Then ask yourself which group you fall into. If you are in the top 5% economic class or area huge corporation, then by all means you should not vote for O. Take off your party hat and give this some real consideration.
Saturday night we had a benefit
bean supper in our community...guess who cooked the beans? The menu was pinto beans with ham hocks, fried 'taters, cornbread and fruit cobblers. Us downhome folks, about a hundred of us, ate ourselves silly. Only thing missing was the turnip greens. I don't care much for possum, too fat, but if it comes to eating it or going hungry I 'spect I'll develop a better taste for it.
So Jimmy Buffet does a benefit concert for Obama.

I am qualified to do other things. I do this job so that I can stay home with my kids. I could make more money elsewhere. Also, I never did say that I have easy doctors, just doctors that I am used to. I know what mushmouth things they say. I don't have medical benefits. If I needed them, I would have to do some other kind of work. I just think that it is silly to pay the auto workers more than they are worth because of unions. I understand that you are pro union and all, but there is no need to say that I will clean toilets. Come on Gourdpainter, are you having a bad day?

From what I understand he directs his students to his website, which is a conservative web site. That's where I have a problem. We don't need to teach partisan politics in a history class, we need to teach history...the facts.

At least that's what they've led me to believe about them. You're absolutely right about Jimmy Carter, too. He does wonderful work with Habitat for Humanity. It's amazing how the group that should be the most tolerant and accepting and loving is the group that is the most ferocious, biting, hateful and angry.

If ever there was a plant in the audience it was the black man that stood up and said, "please, sir, I'm begging you....." Notice Mc went up and hugged him and then addressed the poor woman who was "scared" of Obama because he was a terrorist. Anyone remember Mccain saying, "no, no maam, he's not." Do any of you republicans ever pay attention?
