You will not even allow a dissenting opinion without potshots and belittling. I thought liberals were all about freedom of speech and protection from being silenced in any way...you don't believe it at all...unless someone agrees with you. And for some reason, Obama supporters seem to be more rabid about it than most. Yet another rason not to vote for him...like I needed another one.

I think you have clearly shown your ignorance here, and you may just want to go somewhere where people can comprehend such a distorted way of thinking. You are really not helping yourself at this point. It would be nice if you could bring an intelligible argument for your candidate. Basically, your lack of argument goes to the aid of Obama. People don't like to think they are voting with racists.
Why I am voting for Obama:
1. I think he will better to help the economy.
2. I like his healthcare plan.
3. I am against the war and think it should end responsibly.
4. I agree with his tax plan.
Why I am not voting for McCain:
1. I don't like the way he handled the recent economic meltdown.
2. His healthcare plan would do nothing to help my family.
3. I do not agree with his stance on Iraq.
4. I do not think he has the personality (temperment) to unite this country.
5. Palin, who I have been listening to, is not ready to lead this country in case, God forbid, something happens to McCain.

Leveling mountains and forests, polluting the streams & the oceans, causing the extinction of hundreds of species of animals (that supposedly HE created, right?) And for what? Anyway...the amount of land drilled on in Alaska is extremely small in contrast to the size of the state. Proposed drilling in ANWR encompasses about 2000 acres at the most far north part of Alaska. ANWR in total is 19 MILLION acres.

What she is trying to do is "buy" the office. What I don't get is there are so many good women who should run. I can think of at least 20 of them I'd vote for if they were running for President, but Where are all of them? Why is that thing in there. I wish she would crawl back in the hole she crawled out of. first the bailout, now Calfornia wants a personal bailout......how much more money will have to be dished out. I truly wish that the culprits who pocketed money and ran wall street into the ground would be investigated and held accountable. We all would still have to pay for their greed but it might make me feel a bit better if they actually had a consequence to all this instead of walking away with a buttload of money while we foot the bill.

The election is over. The results are in. Whether you are pleased or displeased with the results, it is time to show some class. Gloating is not attractive or very mature either nor is continuing to bemoan all of the dire predictions. I Both Senators Obama and McCain have said it is time for Americans to come together, to work together. How about starting here and now. McCain offered a very gracious speech. Can't we follow that fine example no matter what our personal feelings might be? Let us all behave with some class. We need to deal with the government we have and put our efforts into making it work as best possible instead of childish gloating or incessant complaining. Let's put our considerable energy and knowledge to a constructive purpose and just stop behaving so badly!

I've refrained from posting about any of these so called bailouts, ever since they passed the 700 billion one, that all of a sudden, is not wrong and not going to be used for what they were going to use it for.
In the beginning, I was one of those who thought the sky would fall, if they didn't do the bailout on the financial institutions. But then they took the three page bill, and turned it into a bad dream, which got squelched...then it became a nightmare, and became larger...and was passed....and now...now.....
In between some of the auto companies got a bailout....now they want more.....now cities/states, and everyone wants a piece of this action...

Let the gosh durn big three fold....let em go under and file for bankruptcy. This isn't about the three auto companies and a bailout for them.
It's a bailout for the union. And along the way, they will make all the other auto makers turn union....

the many lives that were saved by taking out these people? Or would you rather many more Americans be subjected to events like 9/11? How many people did we lose in one day on 9/11? Yet so many people want to cry and whine over how we should be nice to terrorists and treat them fairly. They would sooner cut our heads off than be civil but OMG...don't torture them to get information that might save American's lives. How horrible would that be? I have no problem with covert operations taking out dangerous people. In fact, it makes me feel safer knowing that these terrorists aren't going to hurt anyone anymore.

Why should the law stop
recognizing "marriages" just because gay people declare this to be fair to them? I just think it is sad that something that has always been recognized legally should be undone just for a small group of people. If you want civil unions with benefits...fine. More power to you, but why can't you just leave us alone and let our marriages be like they have been for years? Why must we change to accomodate few people? Why must we always compromise and bend things to accomodate this increasingly secular world?

You can't pray in school or say anything about God in school so we don't offend the non-believers but by all means allow homosexuality be taught to young children as an acceptable thing even though not everyone feels that way......and as evident by the vote in CA...the majority doesn't agree with it!!! Now you want marriages to not be recognized legally because that isn't fair to gay people and for us to have marriages, we must first have a civil union and then get married by our pastor because it would make the gay community feel better. I believe in personal responsibility. I dont believe you or the govt have a right to tell anyone what to do with their body. If my choices are wrong, I will stand in judgment when I meet my maker. I also dont follow in lock step with an administration that lies to the people about Iraq. Supporting our troops and not falling for lies about this illegal war are two different things. Yes, it is an illegal war. The world realizes this. The International Court of Justice realizes this. Of course, I support our troops and want them home. Believing in God is a personal decision and should not be shoved down others throats. I believe in separation of church and state, do not mix religion and politics. I dont believe we should have the state and/or president intervening when a spouse wants to let someone pass whose brain is half the size of a normal brain, living only due to rudimentary reflexes and I certainly do not think they should waste my tax dollars on trying to tie the hands of the spouse. These republicans/conservatives are way out of control in so many ways. It would be quite laughable if it wasnt so pitiful. I believe this is not a Christian country but a country with many religions and beliefs and I respect the people enough to let them choose what to believe. Seems to me nowadays democrats are acting like the way republicans used to, i.e., keep govt at a minimum and out of personal business, keep the budget balanced or as close to balance as possible. Republicans/conservatives are so off course right now. They are trying to invade into the states rights and personal rights. They have waged an immoral illegal war, my children and my childrens children will be paying to reduce this massive deficit, caused by republicans. Yes I oppose **liberating** other countries who dont ask us to help. Who the heck do we think we are, invading a soverign country and pushing our beliefs and religion and morals down their throats? Iraq is worse off today than it was under Saddam. Under Saddam, they had jobs, food, electricity, a life of certainty and definitely not lawlessness in the streets. We have killed tens of thousands of Iraqis with the excuse of liberating them. We have created a terrorist breeding ground and it will continue. The minute we kill off terrorists, their sons and daughters will rise up and fight back. We are just as bad as Saddam with our sickening war machine.

The problem is with the breach of security on this site. Unless you're the owner/moderator/administrator, this does not apply to you personally.
This issue should have been brought to the forefront on the company board a week ago when this incident happened, but I guess too many people were shocked by the blatant lack of ethics and the not so subliminal message that if anyone says anything negative about this company, your ISP will be tracked, and at that point, I, along with probable others, was afraid to post anything further.
