1. The supposed plot to fly a plane into the Library Tower in LA, which according to numerous public officials, terror experts and intelligence personnel was simply not true.
The Bush administration portrayed it as if they had stopped an imminent attack when, at most, it was a talked about plan, but was not even close to operational or even feasible.
2. The supposed plot by terrorists to board British planes bound for the U.S. with liquid components that could be mixed into bombs. The Bush administration had Britain arrest 2 dozen people, none of whom had bomb components, airline tickets, and many of whom did not have passports.
3. Bush's claim that they had found an AL Qaeda cell developing anthrax for use in America was totally and completely untrue. They were found by the FBI to be far short of even developing anthrax, much less having a plan to disperse it in the U.S.
4. The breaking up the Asian terror cell in training operatives for attacks in the U.S. that Bush claimed credit for happened in 1995.
5. Oh, and the 5 guys convicted of conspiring to attack Fort Dix? They have no ties to any terrorist organization and a number of experts have said that their plot would not have been successful due to flaws in planning. Thus, they were convicted of conspiring to kill soldiers, not attempted murder.
Your turn.
