Christmas time is so great in NY..In CA, with no snow, it is sure different. There is a ski area about 40 minutes from me, in the mountains that surround the desert..In order to get to the freeway and downtown LA, you have to drive through the mountains and ski area..All my CA friends ski. I have never..Heck, I have never even skated..Tried to skate a few years ago and kept falling, figured I better stop before I break a hip. One of my friends has offered to teach me skiing on the bunny slope where she takes her 4 year old daughter. I said no thanks..I would probably be a fool. Ah yes, I love this time of the year..Halloween, Thanksgiving, Hannukah, Christmas, New Year..So much to look forward to.

Christmas was a pagan holiday before it was a Christian holiday. So where does that leave us?

DUCK SEASON!!!
Personally, I think this campaign season
is just getting more and more exciting. Imagine if an old man gets the Presidency, and his sidekick with absolutely no foreign policy experience ends up as President....very exciting....cannot get any more uncertain than that scenario.
Thanks. I did have a good holiday. (sm)
I ate a whole lot more than I read, but will get into it this week.
Holiday message
M: This is the BEST greeting!! I wish the same for you and all of our posters here and their families!!
The conversation took place during the primary season
If they had a casual conversation on these issues before any official selections were even possible, they would have been purely speculative, dontcha think? During the heat of the primary compaign, HC would have been the last person he would have had in mind for either position. Sounds like a fairly innocent chat between friends to me.
Barack Obama Day with holiday pay.. sm
A politically correct holiday message sm
Best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress, non-addictive, gender neutral, winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most joyous traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, but with respect for the religious persuasion of others who choose to practice their own religion as well as those who choose not to practice a religion at all;
Additionally,
a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling, and medically uncomplicated recognition of the generally accepted calendar year 2009, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions have helped make our society great, without regard to the race, creed, color, religious, or sexual preferences of the wishes.
(Disclaimer: This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal. It implies no promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for her/himself or others and no responsibility for any unintended emotional stress these greetings may bring to those not caught up in the holiday spirit.)
It's hunting season here. We have no problems getting ammo. Sounds like a silly rumor to me. NT
