Now I'm even angrier than I was when I wrote the above post, and I can't even imagine how you must feel, actually knowing people involved in 9/11.  I didn't know anyone involved in it, and yet the tragedy made me feel as if I did.  I couldn't even BEGIN to imagine what it must have been like for the families and friends of the victims.

I remember actually feeling PROUD of Bush as he stood out there with that megaphone, as if he actually WAS one of "us."  I think everyone was in his corner as he invaded Afghanistan.  I even supported the invasion of Iraq, believing most of what he said, although there was a little voice deep down inside that didn't quite "buy" it.  Now it's very clear why I didn't.

But to use 9/11 to further his own personal agenda is just monstrous and unforgiveable.  I hope every single Bush groupie reads your post.  Maybe they will begin to see the man for what he really is, although I doubt it.

I used to think Clinton was phony, carrying his Bible to church every Sunday.  At least he didn't lead us into a war the "God told him" to do. 

He claims to be a uniter, yet he's done nothing but divide this country to an extent I've never seen in my life.

When we have our next 9/11 (and it's inevitable), I believe it will be even worse than the first one.  Only this time, sadly, I think the outrage against Bush will be the loudest it's ever been, especially if it's the result of something the 9/11 Commission warned about and was ignored by this moron. 

What's really funny is that another 4,000 people could be killed in this country, and his groupies wouldn't care and would still be all over him.  But let him appoint one moderate conservative to the Supreme Court, and they'll be out for blood.  They're already threatening him regarding Gonzales.  These court nominations are going to be very interesting. 

I just hope that we all can survive the next 3-1/2 years of this.  Unfortunately, whoever follows Bush will inherit a huge deficit and a quagmire for maybe decades to come.

for nicotine, alcohol, drugs, THC and anything else ''unhealthy'' we consume that they can identify could be a healthcare rationing device.  And why would they waste valuable healthcare resources on those of us with high cholesterol?  Pretty clearly, we are refusing to eat healthily. 

I saw a commercial about designing a ''smart planet'' and my flesh crawled.  ''Soon, we will be able to tailor treatment to your genetic code''?   Oh, super!  Sounds so warm and fuzzy, doesn't it?  But in reality, who wants a national genetic database storing information on who has the gene for breast cancer or other diseases they can now predict a predisposition for?  Nice, if it's actually used to help us (what are the chances of that?)  Really bad if they won't waste treatment on somebody they feel is already a goner anyhow.
